Darok hamlet is located in the bonti sub district of sanggau district. Has many tributaries such as the Hisi, river the Himua and Tangis, the Darok and the Bonti river. Darok hamlet has good natural forest. Has the status of protected forest areas Mount Budu, Iron Mountain, there are protected plants Amorphophallus titanium dan Rafflesia tuan mudaee young master one of West Kalimantan endemic. There are animals like tringgiling, jungle cats, and proboscis mongkeys which are still widely around the river. Darok village is also still thick with ‘Gawai’ traditions. The purpose of ths study was to record the potential of ecotourism and develop interpretations of the ecotourism potential of the village of Darok.  The method used is exploration and ascending coordinates and direct interviews with hamlet heads, custom temenggung and local communities. The results of explroration there are 28 attractions that can support the interpretation of ecotourism potential, namely 18 physical potentials, 3 potential rare and endemic plants, 7 culture potentials. The results of the exploration were develoved into two tour package pathways, namely the protected forest path package and social culture this package was made based on field research. The protected forest package is on the heavy side, the settlement is 3 km away, there are potential waterfalls cascades, cascade amorphophallus titanium and others. While the social culture route in the north is 1 km away there is potential for tembawang forest, rice fields, traditional houses, and othersKeywords: Ecotourism, Interpretation, Pathway Interpretation.

he article deals with the history of the development of entrepreneurship in the Northern Ob region among the Nenets, Khanty and Mansi. The author calls it «aboriginal” meaning that it as an economic activity that makes profit from the works directly related to the traditional sectors of the economy of the indigenous North peoples or from sale of products of economy. The article is based on the author’s field materials obtained during many years of field research (2000, 2002, 2003, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2017 years) in different areas of Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Okrug and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It was found that two types of aboriginal entrepreneurship are developed in the Northern Ob region: institutional and informal. The first is represented by communities (either tribal or national) of indigenous people and farms. Their organization is socially oriented: communities are primarily a place of work for fishermen and reindeer herders. Community entrepreneurship is supported by the authorities of the district and the Okrug through a system of grants. The income of most community members is low, forcing them to seek additional income opportunities. The structure of communities of indigenous people is based on family ties. Informal aboriginal entrepreneurship spontaneously emerged in the crisis of the 1990-s and still does not give up its position. It provides the main income to families of private reindeer herders and fishermen. As a result of this aboriginal business quite stable client networks are formed that contribute to the social integration of local communities. Such entrepreneurship brings higher incomes, compared with the legalized formal ones, despite the lack of support from the “top” of the authorities. This largely contributes to its stability in the harsh northern conditions, where the market is small. The risk of being deceived is not an obstacle to the development of such business. The boundaries between institutional and informal economies in the North are penetrable and fluid. A private reindeer herder can be a member of the family community, and after delivering the minimum rate of products traditional industries can act as an independent businessman, selling products through his customers or visiting merchants. The same can be true for members of fishing communities. The interweaving of institutional and informal entrepreneurship forms a complex network of social and economic interaction in local communities.

The article deals with the assimilation of Siberian indigenous peoples by the first Russian settlers in the north of the Kemerovo region. The research was based on the historical and genealogical methods and featured a microhistorical analysis of a particular settlement of the Chulym Turkic people who lived in the Kiya river basin in the first half of the XIX century. The paper introduces the case of the Kolmogorov family of old-timers from the village of Сhumay (Chebulinsky municipal district of the Kemerovo region). The author studied memoirs and parish documents to trace the changes in the status of the Kolmogorovs: from representatives of the indigenous peoples who paid a regular tribute in furs (yasak) to peasants. The research also helped to define the borders of the yasak territories and establish the conditions that encouraged the yasak-payers to settle down as peasants. The exposure to peasantry and Russification was a long stage: it took the Kolmogorovs 25 years to enter the peasant community of Сhumay village. Moreover, the process was small-scale and random in the period under review.

ABSTRAK.Masyarakat Bugis terkenal sebagai pelaut ulung di Indonesia yang telah menjelajahi seluruh wilayah nusantara.Oleh karena itu permukiman masyarakat Bugis dapat ditemukan di hampir seluruh wilayah Indonesia, terutama di kawasan pesisir.Di pantai Utara Jakarta juga terdapat satu kampung nelayan Bugis, yaitu di wilayah Kamal Muara.Karakter fisik dari permukiman ini menunjukkan ciri-ciri arsitektur vernacular Bugis yang dapat dilihat dari bentuk rumah-rumahnya.Akan tetapi, kondisi lingkungan yang berbeda dengan di tempat asalnya memaksa masyarakat kampung Bugis tersebut untuk beradaptasi baik terhadap lingkungan fisik maupun lingkungan sosial budayanya.Adaptasi tersebut menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan-perubahan pada bentuk dan pola perkampungannya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh adaptasi terhadap bentuk rumah dan pola kampung yang dibandingkan dengan arsitektur Bugis yang asli.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara kepada informan kunci termasuk beberapa pemilik rumah.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah teridentifikasinya adapatasi bentuk arsitektur dan pola kampung terkait dengan kondisi lingkungan dan sosial budaya. Kata  kunci : adaptasi, vernakular, arsitektur, nelayan, kampung ABSTRACT.Bugis people are famous as the best sailor in Indonesia who have sailed all over the archipelago. Their settlements can be found all over the country especially in the coastal area. Kamal Muara is one of the Bugis fishermen village located in the North coast of Jakarta. The physical character of this settlement demonstrates Bugis vernacular architecture which is especially noticeable in the form of its houses. However, the new place has forced the people to adapt to the physical environment as well as to the social and cultural environment. Consequently, the adaptation caused changes of architectural shapes and the pattern of the village. This objective of this research was to find out the influence of the adaptation to the house form and village pattern that was compared to its original Bugis Architecture. The method of this research was qualitative descriptive research. The data was collected through field study, observation, and interview to the key informants including the owner of the houses. The outcomes of this research is the identification of the adaptation in architectural form and village pattern related to the environmental condition and the sociocultural problem. Keywords:  adaptation, vernacular, architecture, fishermen, village

Six new radiocarbon dates have been obtained from the Shelby Mound site (41CP71) in the Big Cypress Creek basin in East Texas. They are on charred organic remains—corn cupules and glumes and Hickory (Carya sp.) nutshell—identified in several levels in and immediately below the mound deposits. The Shelby Mound site on Greasy Creek is the social and political center of an ancestral Caddo Greasy Creek political community. It stretches for several hundred meters along Greasy Creek and a small tributary, with an earthen mound at the northern end of the village and a large cemetery at its southern end. Domestic village areas are between the mound and the cemetery and cover at least 10-15 acres. The Titus phase earthen mound covered a burned structure at the base of the mound, and a second structure had been built that stood on the mound itself, and was then burned and capped first with clay and then with a final sandy fill intermixed with midden deposits. The arrangement of the mound, domestic areas, and planned cemetery here is essentially duplicated at other important Titus phase communities in the Big Cypress Creek basin, although the village areas and the size of the cemetery at the Shelby Mound site are considerably larger than most of the others. Based on work at the site in 2002, the north levee area at the Shelby Mound site was found to have thick midden deposits and evidence for several burned structures, implying the existence of an intensive occupation throughout the life of the community.

Development and empowerment are things that are commonly discussed for the progress and change of the nation at this time. One of the efforts of the village government in overcoming the problem of poverty is the formation of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES). This study aims: 1) to explain the social conditions of the people of Teluk Terate Village, 2) to explain how to empower the community's economy through BUMDES. 3) to explain how the results of community economic empowerment through BUMDES. In this study, I used descriptive qualitative research methods with field research. The results of this study indicate that the community feels helped by the existence of BUMDES Sabar Subur. 1) One of them is by sending a number of residents who are unemployed due to low education factors to the Manpower Services Unit, 2) Community economic empowerment through BUMDES runs well through the stages of awareness, training, mentoring and evaluation. And has several business units such as Sharia Microfinance Institution Business Unit (LKMS), Training and Employment Business Unit, Production and Trade Business Unit and Service and Rental Business Unit. 3) With the existence of this business unit, the people of Teluk Terate Village already have a business of cassava chips, catfish farms, and several quite large stalls. And seen from the inhibiting factors, it is hoped that the management of BUMDES can be even better with innovations and new BUMDES board members.

This article analyzes the research of European travelers who visited the North Caucasus in the 17th - 19th centuries. affecting the status of women in traditional Circassian society. Tourism is one of the mainstay sectors in Indonesia's national development. The sector is expected to provide the largest contribution to increasing the country's foreign exchange so that the government's efforts to realize the welfare and prosperity of the people are achieved. Various tourism organizers are competing to improve their performance in various ways, including strengthening their existing networks and increasing the competitiveness of Indonesia's tourism businesses. This study aims to describe and analyze the social behavior of local communities in the development of urban tourism in the Thematic Neighborhood (Kampung Tematik). The Study of Social Reality of Local Communities in Kampung Tridi, Blimbing District, Malang City. This research method uses a qualitative approach, and works in real settings, without any engineering of the research object. The location of this research was conducted in Kampung Tridi, located in Temanggungan Ledok, Kesatrian Village, Malang City. The subjects of this study were residents of Kampung Tridi. Results of research the change in the social behavior of the Kampung Tridi’s community occurs due to the synergy between the management of the community and residents, and it is based on the spirit of cooperation to achieve a better community life. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the social behavior of Kampung Tridi community has changed, that is before the village was made as a tourist attraction, the environmental conditions were slum and many people were unemployed, low-income, and had highly irregular personal lives in the environment they lived. But after the establishment of Kampung Tridi, people's behavior also experienced changes in aspects of attitudes, actions, and decision making.

<p><strong><em>Field research with a phenomenological approach, in the District of Kabuh-Jombang. The barren rural socio-geographical setting makes tradition basics a reference and measure of norms of action. The uniqueness of this study with previous research is the process of reducing the sacredness of marriage by placing the status of Widower or Widow better than the status of an old spinster or old age. Research with a Phenomenological approach with Robert Merton's Structural-Functional analysis knife rests on deep interview techniques of 20 informants consisting of couples who experience young and divorced couples, families, and community leaders. produce conclusions that the tradition of underage marriage is a social fact, a habit that still continues to this day, constructed with noble and sacred meaning. In the social process the Nobleness of meaning is not supported by other social facts, that being a widower or widow is better than being an old woman or old woman. This puts divorce better than maintaining marriage. This pragmatic outlook is contrary to the ideal ideals of a sacred marriage. The result of a complex divorce is a negative new social fact that is neglecting the rights of children to be paid by their parents. This negative social fact is due to the dysfunctional social control and social structure of the process of adaptation to change.</em></strong></p>

Excavations carried out by The Helike Project in the Helike plain on the south-western coast of the Gulf of Corinth, north-west Peloponnese, since 2000, have brought to light the well-preserved remains of a coastal Early Helladic (EH) II–III settlement. The site developed as a densely organised settlement during the EH II period and underwent a major architectural transformation at the beginning of the following EH III. In addition to a reorganisation of the settlement on a rectangular town grid, the outstanding feature among the buildings discovered is that of a monumental Corridor House. The newly organised building plan of the settlement was most probably associated with the rise of a new socio-economic structure at the time, including advanced technological specialisation, and possibly the establishment of administrative control within the town supporting communal interests, together with a new emphasis on the status of the private individual.Considering EH Helike in its broader geographical context, the site's prosperity marks an exception to the widespread decline attested in the mainland settlements of the time, and links it rather with centres across the Aegean Sea and further east. In addition to similarities at the level of settlement organisation, such overseas links and contacts are conspicuously evidenced at Helike through the presence of an array of exotic, prestigious items and commodities including an outstanding depas cup of Trojan/Anatolian type, ornaments of precious metal from the east or the north and Melian obsidian tools, and by the adoption of ‘international’ fashions of life such as the ‘serve and drink’ culture and ‘potter's marks’. In this paper, we present the range of material evidence from the EH III town of Helike illustrating its various spheres of foreign contact, and discuss possible insights into the social and economic conditions that generated the town's floruit and cosmopolitanism in EH III.

Abstract The study is based on the APVV project that focused on the socio-cultural capital of successful Slovak municipalities, bearers of the “Village of the Year” title, which can serve as a source of inspiration for other municipalities in improving the quality of life in the countryside. The aim of this study is to highlight the possibilities for the development of local communities in the context of geographical and economic determining factors and to observe the use of the socio-cultural capital as a source of sustainable growth also in the context of cultural and local identity. The study analyses two concrete examples aimed to increase the attractiveness of the sites through the presentation of their socio-cultural potential. The first case covers the municipality of Hrušov and its participation in the Hont Eco-Museum project, implemented within the wider micro-region. In the second case, we explore the municipality of Spišský Hrhov and its analogical example – the museum of music MuzikMuzeum. The study was based mainly on the results of the pilot research and subsequent ethno logical field research in both municipalities, conducted predominantly by means of direct interviews with the locals, newcomers as well as leaders of the municipalities in 2018. The synthesis of the conclusions is based on a comparison of some determining factors of the development of both sites (the proximity and accessibility of urban centres, economic or confessional aspects in relation to the local community).
