According to Law No. 40 of 1999 concerning mass media, press has the function to educate. Moreover, according to Alwi (2011: viii) the language used by the press has more influence than the language used by teachers in school. Based on that, the mass media has an obligation to promote Indonesian language properly and correctly. Proper Indonesian is to use the language in accordance with the communication situation, while using Indonesian correctly is using language in accordance with the rules. The suitability of the rules based on the guidelines recognized and published by the Ministry of Education and Culture’s National Agency for Language Development and Books, namely the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling and Indonesian Language, Foreign Language Guidelines and the Large Indonesian Dictionary. This research sought to examine the use of foreign terms in four printed newspaper in Banten Province, namely Radar Banten, Banten News, Banten Post, and Banten Raya which were published in July 2018 with 23 headline news articles. This research employed descriptive qualitative method with data analysis steps, namely (1) listening; (2) identification and classification of data based on the use of foreign terms found; (3) data interpretation; and (4) making conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that there are twenty-five (25) data of foreign terms that have been absorped or translated but are not written in the equivalent form or translation. There are also fifteen (15) data that indicate errors in writing based on the standard form of foreign terms that have Indonesian word equivalents and four (4) data that do not have word equivalents but their writing are not in accordance with the guidelines, which must be underlined or italized

The resolution process of law enforcement related to press offences differs in Indonesia. The disparity in resolving legal issues arising from press violations in Indonesia is due, in part, to differing interpretations of press regulations. Some actions were taken under Law No. 40 of 1999 Concerning the Press (Press Law). Some issues were resolved through the Criminal Code or the Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP). This study is interested in looking into law enforcement against the abuse of mass media through online media in terms of press law and the Criminal Code and the barriers to its enforcement. The method used in this research is a normative juridical and empirical juridical approach. Subsequently, data analysis uses qualitative analysis methods. The paper concludes by arguing that enforcing press law against abuse of mass media through online media is accomplished by enforcing Article 5 paragraph (1) of the Press Law. However, Article 5 paragraph (1) of the Press Law does not regulate or formulate the delusions of defamation and insults as regulated in Article 310 of the Criminal Code. The absence of norms and conditions for when and in what cases the press can and cannot be brought to court for violating criminal law and sentenced to criminal sanctions is a barrier in law enforcement on the misuse of mass media through online media associated with press laws.

Penelitian ini mengkaji klasifikasi tabu pada masyarakat Banjar. Masalah yang dikaji adalah bagaimana klasifikasi tabu perbuatan dan klasifikasi tabu kebahasaan pada masyarakat Banjar?  Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan klasifikasi tabu perbuatan dan  klasifikasi tabu kebahasaan pada masyarakat Banjar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik  rekam dan dokumentasi. Waktu pengambilan data dari Bulan Januari 2015 s.d Juni 2016  di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan, Banjar baru, Banjarmasin, dan Martapura. Analisis data dilakukan dengan  tiga tahap, yaitu  indentifikasi data, klasifikasi data, seleksi data, dan  interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa klasifikasi  tabu dalam masyarakat Banjar terdiri atas tabu perbuatan dan tabu kebahasaan. Tabu perbuatan adalah larangan untuk melakukan kegiatan atau perbuatan  yang diyakini akan mendatangkan malapetaka,sedangkan tabu kebahasaan adalah tabu yang berkaitan dengan kebahasaan. Kedua klasifikasi tabu ini dilatarbelakangi oleh dua hal, yaitu karena adanya rasa takut dan demi kenyamanan. Pengelakan tabu dalam masyarakat Banjar  ada yang menggunakan eufemisme, singkatan, metafora.(This study examines taboo classification in Banjar society. The problems are how act taboo classification is and how is language taboo classification in Banjar society. This study aims to describe taboo classification of act and taboo classification of language in Banjar society. The method used is descriptive-qualitative. This study uses recording and documentation technique. The data are gained from January 2015 until June 2016 in Hulu Sungai Selatan regency, Banjarbaru, Banjarmasin, and Martapura. Data analysis is carried out through several steps, namely data identification, data classification, data selection, and data interpretation. The result shows that taboo classification in Banjar society consists of act taboo and language taboo. Act taboo is prohibition not to do action or activity that is believed to cause disasters. Meanwhile, language taboo is a taboo dealing with language. Both of these taboo classifications are based on two things, namely existence of fear or for comfort. Some avoidances of taboo in Banjar society are by using euphemism, abbrevation, and metaphor.)

Research is sanctified to the analysis of the modern heading of materials of printed mass-media as form of communication. Description of basic forms of speech game is in-process given, correlation of heading is analysed with maintenance of material and format of newspaper and magazine. An author examines heading, from one side, as independent texts due to that modern mediacommunication comes true. On the other hand, indissoluble connection of maintenance of the article and his title is illuminated. Long-term experience of author is in-process systematized in research of heading of the news materials and reasons, presented in the press of entertaining character. An author offers the classification of forms of speech game, based on the philological analysis of modern media-texts.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode Program Fajar Indah yang ada di Radio Citra Progo dalam meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, mengetahui klasifikasi da’i pengisi program Fajar Indah, serta pesan dakwah dari program Fajar Indah. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data digunakan penafsiran logika yang dihubungkan dengan konteks Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Radio Citra Progo dalam program Fajar Indah menggunakan metode ceramah dengan pembawaan da’i yang santai ketika siaran. Adapun klasifikasi da’i dalam siaran dakwah ini, dapat dilihat dari wawasan keilmuan penyiar dalam menguasai Al Quran dan Hadist sebagai sumber hukum Islam dan kedisiplinan untuk menjalankan tugas sebagai da’i penyiar radio. Dalam siaran Program Fajar Indah terdapat pesan dakwah berupa materi Aqidah untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat kepada Allah, mengimani rukun Iman dan rukun Islam, serta materi Akhlak yang diperintahkan oleh Allah dan dicontohkan oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW, materi Ibadah yang menyampaikan tatacara beribadah kepada Allah meliputi hukum pernikahan, hukum bertetangga, shodaqoh, sholat, puasa dan menyampaikan materi tentang hari-hari besar umat Islam. This study aims to determine the methods of the Beautiful Fajar Program on Radio Citra Progo in improving people's religious understanding, knowing the classification of preachers for the Fajar Indah program, and preaching messages from the Fajar Indah program. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection in this study uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the interpretation of logic connected with the context of Islamic Broadcast Communication. The results showed that Citra Progo Radio in the Fajar Indah program used a lecture method with a relaxed nature when broadcasting. The da'i classification in this da'wah broadcast, can be seen from the broadcaster's scientific insights in mastering the Qur'an and Hadith as a source of Islamic law and discipline to carry out their duties as radio broadcast preachers. In the broadcast of the Fajar Indah Program there is a da'wah message in the form of Aqeedah material to increase public trust in God, faith in the pillars of faith and pillars of Islam, as well as moral material ordered by God and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, the material of worship which conveys the procedure of worship to God including marriage law , neighborly law, shodaqoh, prayer, fasting and delivering material about the Muslim holidays.

Abstract The FinFET has been introduced in the last decade to provide better transistor performance as the device size shrinks. The performance of FinFET is highly sensitive to the size and shape of the fin, which needs to be optimized with tighter control. Manual measurement of nano-scale features on TEM images of FinFET is not only a time consuming and tedious task, but also prone to error owing to visual judgment. Here, an auto-metrology approach is presented to extract the measured values with higher precision and accuracy so that the uncertainty in the manual measurement can be minimized. Firstly, a FinFET TEM image is processed through an edge detecting algorithm to reveal the fin profile precisely. Finally, an algorithm is utilized to calculate out the required geometrical data relevant to the FinFET parameters and summarizes them to a table or plots a graph based on the purpose of data interpretation. This auto-metrology approach is expected to be adopted by academia and/or industry for proper data analysis and interpretation with higher precision and efficiency.

Media massa memainkan peran penting sebagai salah satu media pemasaran dalam membentuk city branding untuk sebuah kota. Dengan demikian, humas pemerintah harus melakukan komunikasi interaktif dengan media massa atau pers.Public Relations dan mitranya, media massa atau pers, tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lain. Melalui media massa, Public Relations sebagai strategi promosi city branding dapat menyampaikan informasi tentang kota secara lebih komprehensif.Penerapan branding kota pemasaran melalui media massa oleh public relations pemerintah, dapat dilakukan dengan membuat profil kota / daerah yang harus disebarluaskan ke media massa di Indonesia dengan bahasa nasional, dengan desain yang menarik, sehingga mereka dapat dengan mudah menarik perhatian. Dalam praktik pemasaran atau promosi branding kota melalui media massa oleh humas pemerintah, setiap pemimpin daerah seperti walikota atau bupati harus diberi tanggung jawab untuk mempromosikan branding kota, terutama melalui media massa, baik cetak maupun elektronik. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The era of globalization requires a city to manage its image and make the image like a commodity, competing to be the best. Mass media plays an important role as one of the marketing media in forming city branding for a city. Thus, government public relations must make an interactive communication with the mass media or the press.Public Relations and its partners, mass media or the press, can not be separated from each other. Through mass media, Public Relations as a promotion strategy of city branding can convey information about a city more comprehensively.The application of marketing city branding through the mass media by government public relations, can be done by making a profile of the city/region that must be disseminated to the mass media in Indonesia with national language, with attractive designs, so that they can easily draw the attention. In the practice of marketing or promoting of city branding through the mass media by government public relations, every regional leader like a mayor or a regent must be given the responsibility to promote city branding, especially through mass media, both print and electronic.

This symposium synopsis summarizes key points discussed related to clinical pathology data interpretation for reproduction and juvenile toxicology studies. In pregnant and growing animals, several changes in clinical pathology parameters linked to growth/maturation of organ and physiological functions can occur, and understanding these changes is important to enable accurate interpretation of clinical pathology data. A brief overview of the general approach to clinical pathology data analysis according to contemporary practices is provided, followed by a discussion focused specifically on reproductive and juvenile clinical pathology. In this context, the approach to recognize and differentiate changes that may be related to pregnancy and growth as opposed to those that may be related to test article effects is highlighted.
