The paper presents a case study that investigated the role of modern technology applications in rainfall flooding disasters prevention. The results reported demonstrated that modern technology facilities can be used to derive preventive measures for rainfall flooding disasters. Free of charge application programs and space technology data can be downloaded and used to achieve this purpose. The derived parameters of the hydrological and topographical models can be integrated with the drainage network of the area to ensure the draining of the water and prevent it from backing up and accumulating in the low land areas. An appreciated relief effort had been made by the local governments and non-government organizations related to rainfall flooding disasters across the world. However, it is high time to devote some of this effort to the application of modern technology facilities to tackle these rainfall disasters existing causes and provide future preventive measures.

This paper presents the magnetoelastic properties for the relative high Tb / Dy composition ratio 〈110〉 oriented Tb 0.45 Dy 0.55 Fe 1.95 polycrystalline alloys. The simultaneous measurements of the magnetization and magnetostriction are carried out as a function of applied magnetic field range of 0 to 800 kA/m and compressive stress from 0 to 60 MPa. The maximum piezomagnetic coefficient $(d^{\rm max}_{33})$ and magnetostriction hysteresis (Wh) are obtained by differential calculation from the experimental curves. According to the increase of compressive stress, an obvious magnetostriction "jump" effect is observed, and the magnetostriction with the magnetic field of 800 kA/m (λ800) and magnetostriction hysteresis monotonously increase, while the maximum piezomagnetic coefficient increases first from 0 to 10 MPa and then decreases from 10 to 60 MPa. Here, results of measuring and calculating on this material are important complement to further understand the rules of the magnetoelastic properties in high Tb/Dy composition ratio Tb 0.45 Dy 0.55 Fe 1.95 polycrystalline alloys for theoretical approaches and modern technology applications.

Since the early 1980s, the information and communication revolution created radical changes in the international tourist industry in all the advanced and developing societies even though the said changes were relatively slow in the developing countries. Electronic tourism dominated tourist industry on the international level. For example, identifying tourist Sites electronically has become a reality by connecting the disabled tourists with the information and communication technology (ICT) as a facility to enhance and enrich their capabilities to recognize tourist sites. Assistive technology includes all the modern technology means used by the disabled to get to know the tourist and archaeological sites, through the various technological techniques incorporated in this digital technology such as adjusted keyboards, software to read the texts shown on the screen through a voice produced by the computer and the technology that enables the disabled to communicate through the computer by means of computers that work by eye movement, in addition to other developed devices by using a number of specialized software like Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote sensing (RS) and Digital Modeling (DM) and other data. The study indicated that the information and communication technology applications have significant impact pushing the disabled tourism development forward, and empowering the tourists of this category, starting from identifying the tourist sites and ending with remote booking. However, many Arab countries suffer from weak investment in the infrastructure of the information and communication technology related to the disabled category as this technology is only used as a promotional propaganda, and their tourist offers through their websites lack the modern software that help the disabled to communicate with tourist locations.

Environmental contextAntimony is a toxic metalloid that is used in a wide range of modern technology applications and in medical treatments. The accelerating needs for antimony in various industrial applications has led to concerns about increased human and environmental exposure. This review provides a brief summary of the biological properties of antimony and its mechanisms of actions in cells. AbstractAntimony is a toxic metalloid that is naturally present in low amounts in the environment, but can locally reach high concentrations at mining and processing sites. Today, antimony is used in a wide range of modern technology applications and is also an important constituent of pharmacological drugs. The increasing use of antimony has led to concerns about human and environmental exposure. Yet little is known about the biological properties of antimony and its mechanisms of actions in cells. This review will provide a brief summary of how antimony enters and affects cells, and how cells deal with the presence of this metalloid to acquire resistance.

This paper is the first study of traditional grain mills in Dakhla Oasis, Egypt, to ensure the sustainability of these traditional production systems while retaining their original function. In this sense, the aim of this study was to analyze the mechanical systems of the animal-powered traditional mills in Dakhla Oasis, which remain the key to figuring out the puzzle of how these mills work and produce flour. This is an original study that examines a sample animal-powered mill to be conserved; this sample old mill was selected from seven potential grain mills, after investigating each mill. This study provides the technical background and description of the selected grain mill in Dakhla Oasis, and describes its working and mechanical movement. In addition, the physical properties of the historic grain mill wood were measured (e.g., density, shrinkage, and hardness), using scientific techniques, to get some information about their properties. In this study, the methodology for grain mill conservation was based on a combination of the traditional experience of the old craftsmen and modern technology applications in the restoration and rehabilitation of animal-powered mills, in addition to the use of software programs in data analysis. Our results proved that the ancient traditional expertise of the old craftsmen and scientific techniques are the most appropriate methods for restoring and preserving animal-powered mills, which include the determination and rework of the mechanical movement between the wooden gear wheel and millstones. Finally, this study gives an in-depth look into the practical scientific restoration of animal-powered mills in Egypt and other countries.

<p><span>In this work; we present an enhancement in blue laser diodes with new factors and applications for modern technology such as underwater telecommunications, bio-sensor and bio-medical systems etc. Years of advance meanwhile have much enhanced laser performance, and extremely improved their diversity, making lasers significant parts in scientific research, telecommunications, engineering, bio-medical imaging, materials working, and a swarm of other applications. This article viewing how laser technology has progressed to chance application requirements. The enhanced blue laser building diagrams to get a peak efficiency% at room temperature with modification. Moreover, we have as well estimated electro-optical performance packing of blue laser diodes been significantly various associated to GaAs laser method and novel developments and performances are required to enhance the optical power from anther laser diodes. Researchers need enhanced approaches to accurately make new the blue laser applications to use control of modern experimental measurements and optical communication.</span></p>
