Materials and methods. The main research method is a sociological survey method based on a questionnaire survey of medical university students. Results and discussion. The object of the study is distance learning in the institutions of higher medical education of Ukraine. The subject of the study is the current state and prospects for the development of distance learning. The study uses methods of analysis of reference sources and generalization of the features of the studied object, questionnaire. Conclusion. The study reveals the motivation of students to study in quarantine, rapid acquisition of information, the ability to use a computer at a modern level, communication with the teacher from anywhere. Teachers also have a sense of satisfaction with the new opportunities that open up the use of electronic platforms and tools in educational activities. This is an opportunity to find and apply fundamentally new forms and methods of teaching, continuous development and improvement of their own pedagogical skills. Regarding the practical work of future doctors, for distance learning it is necessary to improve the system of knowledge and skills, starting with the technical support of students and teachers and ending with the improvement of the process of distance transfer of practical skills, using the latest technologies. For example, it is necessary to provide students with access to cloud solutions that will allow them to perform practical skills and modeling outdoors, use simulators, training devices, get access to virtual laboratories. It is advisable to use gamification technologies, creation of digital didactic situational games and exercises, which, in addition to improving practical skills, will involve students in distance learning, because game technologies guarantee the attention and motivation of each student. The most appropriate for medical students will be the use of a hybrid model of learning, combining real education with digital one – this is the best model from the standpoint of logistics and accessibility

Objective: to analyze the effectiveness and characteristics of teaching the discipline “Phthisiopulmonology” with the use of various methods in the training of physicians during the pandemic.Material and methods. We analyzed modern publications on the problem, performed comparative interpretation of the first results of the use of the distance format of academic process for the teaching of the clinical discipline “Phthisiopulmonology” at specialized departments of universities in selected CIS countries.Results. In the spring of 2020, the system of higher medical education was forced to transition to teaching students with the use of online techniques. This teaching method is almost always evaluated positively for a number of reasons. Teaching at the clinical departments of medical universities, where practical skills are priority in contact with patients, may incorporate only elements of remote techniques. The phthisiopulmonology departments of medical universities (Kursk, Gomel, Tashkent) applied various techniques of remote teaching during the pandemic.Conclusion. The first results of the use of the distance format has demonstrated that the use of the hybrid method (full-time training with elements of distance learning) is the most reasonable for teaching clinical rotations.

Today, distance learning is no longer surprising, most educational institutions of various levels in Russia and abroad use distance technologies in the pedagogical process to one degree or another. Many students today consider this form of education as an alternative to the usual one, not only when receiving a second education, advanced training, but also choose this method for obtaining a first higher education. There is no escape from modern trends, and many universities understand this and are trying to develop in this direction. It is correct to say "distance learning" and not "distance education", because it is just a different way of forming a student's knowledge and skills, while the content of education remains unchanged. Medical education is a complex thing that requires a lot of energy, time and money, as well as certain practical skills, so the possibilities of distance learning in this regard are very limited. Such training is suitable only for professionals who want to improve their qualifications, especially when it comes to medical and diagnostic professions, or for future pharmacists, whose occupation is inextricably linked with medicine, but is still a separate field.

The article is devoted to the problem of distance education, namely, education and upbringing under pandemic conditions. The relevance of the use of new computer and information learning technologies has been demonstrated. The connection of information technologies with the “Z” generation has been outlined as the main education idea of the person of the future. The issue of the coronavirus epidemic, which forced the urgent restructuring of all spheres of people’s social life around the world, is addressed in the article. As a result, the problem of the global transition to distance learning under severe quarantine is becoming urgent. The author analyses domestic and foreign pedagogical experience of distance education. Among domestic authors, this problem was studied by O. Kuznetsova, E. Naumenko, O. Onishchenko. Actually, O. Kuznetsova highlights the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning. Foreign researches highlight the technical problems of online education, as well as the problems that lie beyond the purview of technology. These are the problems as follows: student’s ability to communicate and play is limited by the environment within the Internet. These elements are critical to students' ability to develop their emotional and social intelligence. Teachers try to deliver personalised instruction to students in a virtual setting, and the responsibility, instead, falls to parents who may not be up to the task. Many students’ dormitories do not promote learning. The purpose of our study was to analyse the conditions of distance learning according to the following criteria: organisational and methodological support, technical support, psychological difficulties in accordance with the example of Odessa National O. S. Popov Academy of Telecommunications (ONAT). Thus, the availability of normative documents and provision of remote content has been analysed. 80 teachers and 150 students used the survey method and revealed that firstly, which online resources teachers most often use during distance education and secondly, what technical and psychological difficulties the participants of the educational process face. The data were analysed and fixed in the table.

Chemistry is one of the most important courses in the system of pre-university training of prospective specialists with higher medical education. During the pandemic, we had to face some problems when organizing chemistry distance learning. There was a lack of data and opportunities for out-of-class interaction with students, since it was necessary to switch to the remote format in a very short time, literally within a few days. It was necessary to develop a model and methodological support to teach chemistry in the distant format and develop relevant professional competencies. The theoretical basis of the research is the theory of the planned development of mental actions and concepts and activities. Analyzing the results, we came to the conclusion that the implementation of this approach increased the motivation of university entrants to study chemistry. Methodological materials helped to improve the quality of training specifically for foreign entrants who did not know Russian well. The results of the final testing made it possible to conclude that the use of distance education or its elements in pre-university chemistry training is promising, necessary and expedient. All students in one way or another coped with the final certification and received certificates that allow them to continue their studies at a medical university.
