More and more, healthcare institutions work to ameliorate the relation supervisor/supervised. In hospitals, transformational leadership proved to influence employee’s motivation and satisfaction (Spinelli, 2006, p.20) thus the hospital’s services. To our knowledge, there is no study conducted on the administrative employees in the healthcare sector in Lebanon that constitute our sample. There is only one study conducted on nurses by El-Jardali et al., (2008) in 69 hospitals in this country. Given this situation, we how can describe the relationship between transformational leadership and employee’s job satisfaction in hospitals? Data processing of a questionnaire administered to 455 employees of 28 over 125 hospitals in Lebanon shows that there is no significant relationship between the employee’s job satisfaction and these two transformational leadership components: leader’s idealized influence and intellectual stimulation. While we found a correlation between employee’s job satisfaction and two other components: inspirational motivation (Training; projects monitoring) and individualized consideration (Active listening to employee’s work issues).

One of the universal and effective methods of business management is value-based management. This method of management, on the one hand, is able to widely use the achievements of the digital economy, and on the other hand, most accurately reflects its specifics. This article discusses models for managing a digital business based on its value. Our research reveals the principles of construction and key features of these models. The result of our work is the conclusion that the future of business process management, as well as the prospects for further socio-economic development of our country, are related to the digitalization of its economy

The last 30 years witnessed a major development of leadership theory. There is now a wide variety of leadership styles available for leaders that are distinct from the previous paradigm of authoritarian leadership. The chapter intends to present the most popular leadership orientations and analyzes their capabilities for a culture of peace. Thus, conscious leadership modelled after Ubuntu leadership, authentic leadership, transformational leadership, servant leadership, charismatic leadership among others are analyzed to identify peace leadership components. This analysis will at least reveal two peace leadership principles. One is a vision of the leader that corresponds to the vision of a culture of peace as it has been developed by the United Nations. The other is a set of core values a peace leader needs to be effective in influencing followers to actualize a culture of peace. The chapter concludes by briefly describing the tool box of a leader to stay on course such as the practice of mindfulness and awareness of neuroplasticity.

There are several continuing challenges within the health-care domain. On the one hand, there is a greater need for individualized, patient-oriented processes in diagnostics, therapy, nursing, and administration; and on the other hand, hospitals have extremely distributed decision processes and strong local (individual) autonomy with a high degree of situational dynamics. This research focuses on how to optimize processes in hospitals by using agent-based simulation and agent-based information systems that can substantially increase the efficiency of hospital process management. In particular, we describe a methodology for optimization; the ingredients of the simulation and the architecture of a management system; and the integration of existing FIPA, DICOM, and HL7 standards. We discuss example scenarios to show how simulation can improve distributed scheduling and how agent-based systems can be used to manage “clinical trials.” This research is part of the German Priority Research Program (SPP) 1083 “Intelligent Agents and their application in business scenarios.”

In this paper, a new digital business model for independent construction logistics consultants, which features the conceptualization of a sociomaterial blockchain solution for integrated information, material and economic flows, is proposed. Theoretically, we offer an understanding of the economic flow, stress the optimization of construction logistics through flow integration, analyse current approaches to understanding blockchain, adopt sociomateriality to envision a suitable blockchain solution, and consider the way blockchain can constitute part of the value proposition of a related digital business model. Methodologically, we systematically reviewed the literature on blockchain-related construction research, and conducted empirical studies on independent logistics consultants in the Swedish context for more than a year. On the one hand, the literature review reveals that core blockchain properties can generate value for construction logistics (e.g. shared ledger structure and reduction of accounting rework) – however, apart from visions and prototypes, there currently exist no use cases, and potential implementational constraints and security issues are limitedly considered. One the other hand, the empirical findings show that independent construction logistics consultants in the sociomaterial Swedish context are suitable candidates for the proposed digital business model. By combining the literature and empirical insights, a permissioned private proof-of-authority blockchain solution integrating the supply chain flows in a generic sociomaterial setting is conceptualized. This solution is then embedded in the value proposition of a digital business model for an independent construction logistics consultant. The proposition includes, among others, improved process management and increased productivity, while the consultants’ competitive advantage through innovation is facilitated. Other business model segments, like key resources, are also updated via the blockchain solution, while some, like channels, are not significantly affected. To not hinder the realization of this digital business model, issues like the lack of blockchain awareness, and the existing power balances within sociomaterial constellations, have to be addressed.

This paper investigates the differences in language use across gender. This current paper accounts for this verity of use within several linguistic features. On the one hand, prestige and conformity are analyzed to determine how the two genders differ according to these two aspects. On the other hand, linguistic features: lexicon, sound production "phonology", were discussed in the light of the difference across gender. The aim was to state explanations of the existence of these differences. The outcomes of this analytical and descriptive research showed that men and women use language differently.

Transformational leadership is part of a very interesting and unique leadership model. This transformational leadership has implemented on four dimensions by Bass and Riggio: ideal influence of transformational leadership, inspirational motivation of transformational leadership, intellectual stimulation of transformational leadership, individual consideration of transformational leadership. This leader is as an agent of change who strengthen his knowledge, experience and ability. Especially if it is associated with the development of prophetic culture. At present, the study of prophetic culture can be categorized as a new trend. Although the nature of this prophetic culture has existed since the Prophets, it highlights more aspects of prophetic values. These prophetic cultural values carry Kuntowijoyo theory which is based on three pillars namely transcendence, humanization, and liberation. The research questions presenter on this dissertation are as follows: How is transformational leadership to build prophetic culture in SDI Makarimul Akhlaq Jombang and SDI Roushon Fikr Jombang? While purpose of the research is to explain the quistions that have been asked. This research is a qualitative research with a naturalistic phenomenological approach with multisite design. Techniques used for collecting the data are observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis includes single site analysis and cross-site analysis. The techniques for analyzing the data are data reduction, data display and verification and conclusion. The results of this study are made of conclusion the dimension of transformational leadership in building by Bass and Riggio’s theory need to be added, namely partner stimulation because this partner stimulation can produce total leadership in building a professional culture. Likewise in Kuntowijoyo's prophetic culture about theocentric-humanization that the concept of humanism-theocentric that Kuntowijoyo built from the findings of the study also provided additional as an existing development, namely theocentric-humanism-liberation because of the findings of researchers who showed infaq practices not only humanizing humans with based on faith alone, but indeed included in it is to free or free someone from distress.

The first question to be answered, in seeking coordinate systems for geodynamics, is: what is geodynamics? The answer is, of course, that geodynamics is that part of geophysics which is concerned with movements of the Earth, as opposed to geostatics which is the physics of the stationary Earth. But as far as we know, there is no stationary Earth – epur sic monere. So geodynamics is actually coextensive with geophysics, and coordinate systems suitable for the one should be suitable for the other. At the present time, there are not many coordinate systems, if any, that can be identified with a static Earth. Certainly the only coordinate of aeronomic (atmospheric) interest is the height, and this is usually either as geodynamic height or as pressure. In oceanology, the most important coordinate is depth, and this, like heights in the atmosphere, is expressed as metric depth from mean sea level, as geodynamic depth, or as pressure. Only for the earth do we find “static” systems in use, ana even here there is real question as to whether the systems are dynamic or static. So it would seem that our answer to the question, of what kind, of coordinate systems are we seeking, must be that we are looking for the same systems as are used in geophysics, and these systems are dynamic in nature already – that is, their definition involvestime.
