Hasil perancangan mesin pencacah menggunakan 5 mata pisau dengan spesifikasi, panjang 180 mm, lebar 50 mm, tebal 10 mm dan sudut mata pisau 35° dengan panjang poros penggerak 450 mm, diameter 30 mm.Kata kunci:plastik, mesin, daur ulang.ABSTRACTThe amount of plastic waste discharged into the sea by Indonesia is approximately 200 million tons. This amount is below China which produces plastic waste reaches 262.9 million tons. At the same time, the need for plastics in Indonesia is only fulfilled about 64% of the total 5 million tons of plastic. Plastic waste discharged into the sea, should be utilized to meet these needs. Plastic waste that has been there, needs to be processed in order to be reused as a production plastic. The simplest plastic waste processing is to chop the already existing plastic into small pieces. This chopper machine can be used anywhere because it uses a diesel engine as its propulsion. The enumeration mechanism used with scissor type. The design of the enumerator machine uses 5 blades with specifications, length of 180 mm, width 50 mm, 10 mm thick and 35 ° knife angle with 450 mm drive length, 30 mm diameter.Keyword: plastic, machine, recycle

Construction is growing rapidly nowadays. Buildings, housing, industry/business centers and highways will require natural aggregates which are natural resources that cannot be renewed. Therefore, we need replacement materials able to replace these natural aggregate. The large amount of plastic waste in fields, based on existing data, causes environmental pollution through it can be reused and useful for building and road construction. Most of communities don’t even know the plastic waste processing technology that allow their use in the construction of house construction such as floors, walls, roofs, and hinges and also road construction with not heavy road loads. The purpose of this activity is to provide the knowledge to the people of RPTRA related to technology for the use of plastic waste for building materials and also road construction in the area in the RPTRA environment considering it is not a public road and hence, with not heavy vehicle. The method used is firstly observation and interview of several houses visited. Then activities about using different types of plastic waste as construction materials. Finally, evaluation of the progress of the project by conducting a survey to people who had met the criteria of being a member of the plastic waste program. The success of this program will be the people’s understanding and a significate growing of any highvalue plastic use as construction material. The benefit of this community service is to increase the knowledge and insight of the people of RPTRA, South Meruya, and West Jakarta City, related to environmentally friendly technologies such as plastic waste processing.

Plastic waste has been a major issue regarding waste in the world today. Plastic production in the world has reached 8300 million metric tons (Mt) from 1950 to 2015 and of about 6,300 Mt turned into waste. The development of industry and technology is often accompanied by the emergence of environmental impact issue. Encompassed plastic waste in nature causes problems, as it can drift from the land and fill the oceans around the world. Various plastic waste processing technologies have been introduced. Recycling plastic waste into goods, fuel oils and asphalt mixtures are things that have been done enormously. This research aims to make composite materials from used plastics, clay materials, and charcoal. A qualitative experimental method by heating the plastic waste below 270°C. Then, it is mixed with additional materials and casted the composite into a mold to form test specimens. Mechanical testing has been carried out to evaluate the composite. The results show that a composite material comprises plastic waste, clay and charcoal can provide maximum tensile strength of 14.59 N. The tested composite material is found to be 34.20% stronger than the material made of only plastic waste.
