Construction is growing rapidly nowadays. Buildings, housing, industry/business centers and highways will require natural aggregates which are natural resources that cannot be renewed. Therefore, we need replacement materials able to replace these natural aggregate. The large amount of plastic waste in fields, based on existing data, causes environmental pollution through it can be reused and useful for building and road construction. Most of communities don’t even know the plastic waste processing technology that allow their use in the construction of house construction such as floors, walls, roofs, and hinges and also road construction with not heavy road loads. The purpose of this activity is to provide the knowledge to the people of RPTRA related to technology for the use of plastic waste for building materials and also road construction in the area in the RPTRA environment considering it is not a public road and hence, with not heavy vehicle. The method used is firstly observation and interview of several houses visited. Then activities about using different types of plastic waste as construction materials. The Non-Governmental Organization (KSM) Sepakat is a form of community participation in waste processing. This KSM is located in Pasar Ujung Subdistrict, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province. KSM Sepakat was established in 2010 and from 2017 has stoped and vacuum from all activitiy to now. One of the factors that causes this vacuum is the damage to production equipment, including components in sewing machines. In addition, the lack of assistance and guidance from the local government has caused the motivation of the members to decrease so that production has decreased too. One of the efforts to re-exist and to reproduce again is sewing machine repair training to all KSM members. This training aims to ensure that each member has basic skills in repairing sewing machines so that if a damage occurs, it will not interfere with the production of waste processing. The method used in this training is through lectures, demonstrations, discussion and direct practice. From the results of the questionnaire, it can be seen that the participants can understand the material well and the material provided is in accordance with the problems in the field. Apart from that, from the questionnaire, it can be seen that the training participants are again committed to activating the activities at KSM Sepakat

Abstract It is necessary to observe and evaluate the performance of the authorized institutions, in particular, related to the sub-unit of the Environmental Agency, which manages the technical aspects (UPTD) and the five aspects of waste management to achieve better service to the people of Tembalang District. The UPTD is responsible for technical operations, including transporting domestic waste using arm roll and dump trucks, managing the cost budget plan, and supervising waste collection at waste collection site. Tembalang District has a minimum waste generation of 156 m3/day with a generation rate of 0.814 l/person/day and a maximum of 216 m3/day with a generation rate of 1.217 l/person/day. The implementation of the five management aspects in Tembalang District still needs to be evaluated from the operational, technical, and community participation aspects. This situation is related to the segregation and sorting of waste that has not been carried out, independent processing that has not gone well, and activities at the landfill that are not suitable. The community participation, public awareness, and concern for waste problems are still low where the independent waste management through waste treatment facility partnerships and waste banks are possible to do.

This study aims to determine the impacts arising from the handling of waste (waste plastic) which is not effective in urban areas. Waste in urban areas that are not handled properly will be wasted into rivers and ends at sea. Increasing the amount of plastic waste in the marine waters of Sorong City can cause disruption to the convenience of sea users, especially for fishermen and tourists who aim to Raja Ampat regency. The wider impact due to increased waste of plastics in the marine waters of Sorong City is able to threaten the marine ecology. Pollution of marine waters of Sorong City is the responsibility of local government that is local government of Sorong City. Efforts to overcome the pollution can be done by streamlining waste management in urban areas by socializing the use of government-provided waste containers provided by local government with color variations to distinguish types of organic waste and non-organic waste and wet garbage. Adjustment needs to be made between the number of residents with the availability of waste disposal facilities and including the janitor so that the waste can be handled up to the landfill (Final Disposal Place).

The policy of the Cirebon Regency Government in land procurement with the designation of landfill is a very dilemmatic problem, this is caused by many factors that influence it, for that the formulation of public policies that are built must have an integral-comprehensive-holistic approach because waste management problems can have an impact on the existence of the environment. The solutions offered through local government policies must be balanced with community participation through efforts to build awareness and legal compliance. The importance of environmentally friendly waste management must be able to be pursued by all stakeholders in the region, considering that the waste problem must be resolved not only by normalizing the legal order but also formulating public policies that favor the interests and concerns of the community. The land procurement policy for the landfill is an example of a tug of war.

Processing and managing plastic waste must be carried out through the application of environmental sustainability that can integrate ecology-based management and consider the social and economic dynamics known as the Socio-Ecological System (SES). This study aimed to determine the economic feasibility of household plastic waste management using Trichoderma sp. The research method used was the observation of plastic waste management in the community and secondary data processing results from field research on plastic waste processing with Trichoderma sp. Data analysis was carried out by applying economic analysis using the Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) analysis. Based on the economic analysis, it was found 1.29 BCR values for plastic waste processing using Trichoderma sp.
