 The focus in this thesis research is: (1) How is the policy of character education in extracurricular activities in SMAN 1 Pemalang?; (2) How character values in extracurricular activities implemented in SMAN 1 Pemalang? The purposes of this thesis were (1) To recognize the character of education policies in extracurricular activities in SMAN 1 Pemalang and (2) to recognize the implementation of character values in extracurricular activities in SMAN 1 Pemalang.This thesis collects data using interviews, observation and documentation. Data is analyzed using interactive models with the following manner: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) presentation of data, and (4) conclusion.Based on the results of research and discussion of the results obtained: (1) The Policy of character education in extracurricular activities in SMAN 1 Pemalang is contained in Document 1 Curriculum of SMA Negeri 1 Pemalang and Extracurricular Activities guide in SMA Negeri 1 Pemalang; (2) The implementation of character education in extracurricular activities are divided into 4 groups, namely psychosocial though the heart, though the thought, though sports and liver. Extracurricular activities of religious yet to be seen, only religious activities habituation in terms of worship through Islamic spirituality, christian spirituality and Catholic spirituality; (3) The program of activities of habituation should also be made more orderly for the implementation of the implementation of character education in extracurricular activities can be monitored more success; (4) extra in terms of character education has not been fully implemented, only the discipline that becomes a reference to it in future assessments in character education should also be done in any extracurricular activities.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of character education at 006 State Elementary School. The type of research used was qualitative. The subjects in this study were principals. Data collection techniquesin this study used interview techniques and data documentation, besides the data analysis techniques through data collection and data reduction. The results of this study were: Implementation of character education in Public Elementary School 006 has been going well, this based on the results of interviews with principals that in the civilization process students pray before starting learning activities, taking pickets alternately with classmates, reviving greetings culture greet and smile, visit sick friends, donate to areas affected by natural disasters, conduct Dhuhr prayer at school, commemorate national and religious holidays and this is also supported by extracurricular activities that reflect character education such as scouts, art, dance, and sports.

Character education is one of the efforts to instill noble character values in order to become a better person. It can be seen that the cultivation of this noble character is the foundation of the nation's character. But in reality that the character of the present age is in a phase of concern. This can be seen in many problems which focus on the loss of sublime characters that are not well embedded. So that character planting needs to be done early on through family, school, community and government. One of them is through the planting attitude of habituation which is done in schools with good aims that are closely related to the character of discipline. Which can be embedded either through training activities, habituation through anything, for example with pencak silat extracurricular. Therefore, researchers try to analyze the characteristics of any discipline that is embedded in pencak silat extracurricular activities. Therefore, this study analyzes the characters found in pencak silat extracurricular activities with a focus on disciplinary characters at SD Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang. Where the character value has been instilled in by the teacher since the low class by requiring students to follow pencak silat extracurricular activities starting from class 3-5. Therefore, researchers use a qualitative approach. In this study using data collection techniques that are needed is by observation, interview and documentation. Based on the results of research that students have shown aspects of the character of discipline through pencak silat extracurricular activities and habituation in SD Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang.

This study aims to describe the fuction of extracurricular art of dance for students of SD Negeri 01 Kota Bengkulu. Type of qualitative research and descriptive naturalistic research method.the subject of this research is the extracurricular coach of dance art and the student of extracurricular activities of dance art. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation (data display), data verification(coclusion drawing/verification) and withdrawal of conclusion (verification data). Testing the validity of the data using persistence of observation, membercheck and triangulation. The result of the research show the extracurricular function of dance which includes 1) development fuction, 2) sosialfuction, 3) rekreativefuction, the three fuctions have been done, but there are some indicators in the function of extracurricular art of dance that has not been done, that is development function in indicator the formation in indicator the formation of the character of discipline. In this indicator the formation of the character of students who follow extracurricular activities of dance art came too late because before the extracurricularschedule of dance art there are students who are still in the canteen and rest. Therefore, there should be a break between classroom hygiene activities and extracurricular activities of dance, so that the indicators of character building discipline are done.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kearifan lokal suku Ende Tambi uma untuk dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber belajar biologi dan pendidikan karakter yang kontekstual. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di desa Gheoghoma, dan desa Watumbawu, Kabupaten Ende Propinsi NTT pada bulan Mei Tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa memadukan antara data observasi, wawancara dan studi literature yang ditindaklanjuti dengan tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, penyimpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal Tambi uma berpotensi dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar biologi dan pendidikan karakter terutama mengandung nilai-nilai karakter luhur seperti gotong royong, persaudaraan, tanggung jawab, ketaatan, kesetaraan gender, nilai sosial, dan nilai komunikatif, yang berdampak pada sikap antusias peserta didik dalam mempelajari konsep.Abstract. This study aims to identify local wisdom of the Ende Tambi uma tribe to serve as a source of contextual biology and character education. This research was conducted in Gheoghoma village and Watumbawu village, Ende Regency, NTT Province in May 2020. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique is in the form of combining observation data, interviews and literature studies which are followed up with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and data inference. The results showed that local wisdom of Tambi uma has the potential to be used as a source of learning biology and character education, especially containing noble character values such as mutual cooperation, brotherhood, responsibility, obedience, gender equality, social values, and communicative values, which have an impact on enthusiasm. learners in learning concepts.

This research was inspired by some of the realities that the author found related to the implementation of character education, especially in several regencies/cities in East Kalimantan. Apart from the author’s concern toward the case of the moral decadence of the nation's children, this should be a demand and obligation for every educator to form the character of his students. Therefore, various models and innovations began to be developed by educational units led by creative teachers starting to package character-based learning designs and innovations. This research focuses on character models developed by the school. This research is a field work research that focuses on multi-site studies. Sources of data in this study include: teachers and students in several schools are the focus of research. The research locus is spread in several regions, namely: Tarakan, Bulungan, East Kutai and Bontang. The data collection techniques that the author uses in this study include: observations, interviews and documentations. Furthermore, the findings of the research data were processed using Milles and Hubberman's interactive analysis using the data reduction flow , data display and data conclusions . Based on the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the character values developed include: religious values, creative, independent and responsible, the spirit of nationality and love for the motherland, tolerance, communication and love the environment.

The purpose of this research was to know the form and implementation of character education, and to analyze the process of spiritual formation of student quotient through the concept of character education on health sciences college students in Palopo.This research uses descriptive qualitative research with psycho-individual approach of cultural, institutional, psychological, and pedagogical. Techniques in data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was done by reducing data, display data, data verivications, and provides conclusions.The form and implementation of character education in STIKES Palopo were: a) Internalization of character values in each learning peoses; b) Integration of character values in each subject contained in the GBPP, syllabus, semester program, and annual program; c) Enabling religious extracurricular activities such as praying in congregation, study or religious dialogue, and commemoration of religious big days (Islam) and the process of establishing spiritual quotient through the concept of character education education are: a) Integration of values character and spiritual values of learning activities; b) Establishment of religious activities within the school; c) Exemplary demonstrated by the Lecturers; and d) Evaluation done by the campus.Implementation of the program of the formation of spiritual quotient and internalization of the values of the characters in the process of teaching and learning in the classroom, then created STIKes students who have a spiritual quotient good by understanding and carrying out the values of the character, so that in everyday life was reflected life of Islamic, respect for parents and lecturers, courteous in speech, polite in acting, always greeting when met, and active in following the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. This research is an effort to find out the madrasa head's policy in supporting Scouting education in MTs NU Aswaja Tengaran. To explore and collect data in this study, researchers used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interview and documentation studies as well as data reduction techniques. In this study shows that the scout extracurricular has existed since the inception of the NTS Aswaja Tengaran MTS as an effort in shaping the character of students who have noble character. In addition, there is a new regulation in the form of Permendikbud No. 63 of 2014 concerning Scouting Education which is one of the reasons for Scout extracurricular activities at MTs NU Aswaja Tengaran. With this regulation, the school can perform Scout extracurricular activities better. In addition, school principals supporting scouting education activities have a positive influence and also aligning scouting education and Islamic religious education, which has a role in the character education of students. This study aimed to find out a depiction of school policies in the implementation of students’ disciplinary character at SDN 77 of Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu. This study used a qualitative approach, and the subjects were Islamic education teachers, classroom teachers, and the school principal. Subsequently, the data collection techniques of this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis adopted Miles’ et al theory comprised of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. This study concluded that the application of disciplinary character education was integrated into subjects in accordance with the materials and objectives to be achieved and resting upon the school culture including class culture. Class culture referred to the culture associated with the application of disciplinary character education and responsibility as seen from the activities commonly carried out in the classroom and outside the classroom.

School is one place to shape the character of students. Character education in schools can succeed optimally if the implementation is integrated through school rules and regulations, classroom learning processes, and extracurricular activities. In addition, educators are also required to provide good behavior or character models for their students.This research aims to find out: 1) the implementation of strengthening character education in improving the religious attitudes of students in Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School Ampel District Boyolali District, 2) implementation of strengthening character education in improving student responsibility in Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School Ampel District Boyolali District , 3) barriers to implementation of strengthening character education in Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School, Ampel District, Boyolali Regency.This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Procedure for data analysis with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. While the research subjects were principals, teachers, parents of students, students and alumni.The results of the research show that: 1) the implementation of strengthening character education in improving the religious attitudes of students by incorporating religious character education into the school curriculum both in school and outside the school. 2) implementation of strengthening character education in improving student responsibility by being integrated into the learning process and school programs. Integration of character education in schools is carried out with integration in self-development programs, subjects, and school culture, 3) barriers to the implementation of strengthening character education are require continuous processes and are carried out continuously. In addition, students do not have a high awareness of themselves. The conclusions of this research are: 1) strengthening character education is carried out well and continuously in an effort to improve the religious attitudes of students, 2) strengthening character education is carried out well as in an effort to improve the attitude of responsibility of students, 3) obstacles faced in implementing education reinforcement whose main character is requiring time to cultivate self-awareness. Suggestions are aimed at: 1) Teachers to motivate and assist students in strengthening character and becoming role models for students, 2) Principals are more intensive in monitoring the development of school programs related to character education. 3) students can instill more responsibility in all aspects of life.
