This study explains one of the phenomena in Marketing Management, namely the purchasing intention of green products in generation Z. This study uses a modification of the theory development of Theory of Planned Behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and environmental concern on the purchasing intention of green products in generation Z. The research method used Smart PLS. This study uses a purposive convenience sampling method on 150 college students and students in Yogyakarta who were born between 1995-2012 and know about green products. The research findings indicate that attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and environmental concern positively effect on the purchasing intention of green products in generation Z.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to observe consumers’ attitudes toward and intentions to purchase green products on social media and to explore the relationships among social media marketing, perceived consumer effectiveness (PCE), product knowledge, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, price consciousness and attitudes toward and intentions to purchase green products. In addition, this research attempts to further understand these relationships in different consumer groups. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire survey method was used to collect data from consumers in China. The Amos 22.0 software package was used to conduct the data analysis. Findings The empirical results suggest that attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control positively affect purchase intentions, while price consciousness negatively affects purchase intentions. Product knowledge positively affects consumers’ attitudes and purchase intentions, and PCE positively affects consumers’ attitudes. As expected, social media marketing positively affects subjective norms, product knowledge and PCE and negatively affects price consciousness. However, there is no significant relationship between PCE and purchase intentions. According to the results of multigroup structural equation modeling analysis, the effects differ significantly among different consumer groups. Originality/value This study enriches the research about the factors that influence consumers’ purchases of green products in emerging countries in the social media marketing context.

<em>This research study focuses on factors which can affect purchasing behaviour of young customers with regard to organic food. Results from this study show that attitudes, perceived behavioral control, perceived consumer effectiveness and c</em><em>oncern for self-image positively impact purchasing behaviour of highly environmental concern consumers. With respect to slightly environmental concern consumers their puchasing behaviour is not exposed to attitudes, perceived behavioral control, perceived consumer effectiveness and concern for self-image. Subjective norms positively affect consumer behaviour, regardless of whether the consumer is highly environmental concern or not. However, the effect of subjective norms on purchasing behaviour of low environmental concern consumers is greater than that of consumers with high environmental concern.</em>

This study specifically discusses the relationships between consumers’ environmental concern, attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and their behavioral intention toward “green” restaurant. Such a study is important because behavioral intentions towards “green” practice in the restaurant industry is still an under-explored topic in the literature, despite the “green” trend. This study adopted Theory of Planned Behavior as the theoretical framework with additional environmental concern construct as antecedent. The findings from this research illustrate that customer’s environmental concern has a positive influence with behavioral intention toward “green” restaurant especially indirectly through attitude and perceived behavioral control. This study recommends that this topic of research needs to be explored more to understand the “green” restaurant customers and to develop marketing strategies to promote “green” restaurant in Indonesia.

Online shopping activities are currently growing. Online shopping activities are supported by the increasing number of Internet users. With the growing number of people who know the internet and along with the presence of Generation Z who was born in the digital age make the habit of spending goods and services slowly but surely have to switch online. One of the factors that affect online shopping is the intention of purchasing online. Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) explains that consumer behavior is shaped by attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control (PBC) that form the intention of online purchasing. This study aims to analyze the effect of attitudes on online purchase intentions, to analyze the effect of subjective norms on online purchasing intentions, to analyze the effect of PBC on online purchase intentions and to analyze the effect of online purchase intentions on actual purchases. The research was conducted at Prama Sanur Beach Hotel. The technique of data collection used are observation, interview, documentation, questionnaires. Data analysis technique using quantitative analysis with PLS program. The results show that attitudes have a positive and significant influence on the intentions of online purchasing. Subjective norms have a positive but insignificant effect on online purchase intentions. Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC) has a positive and significant effect on online purchasing intentions, and online purchase intentions have a positive and significant effect on actual purchases.   Keywords: Attitude, Subjective Norm, Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC), Intention Online Purchase, Actual Purchase.

Given the influence of rising environmental awareness, food systems and security are receiving increasing international attention. Previous studies have discussed the acceptance of insect foods but have been primarily conducted in a European context. Hence, their results cannot be applied to Taiwanese consumers. Regarding this, our study is centered on the theory of planned behavior and considers environmental concern and food neophobia to discuss the effects of consumer attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on the purchase intention toward insect food. We used purposive sampling to survey questionnaire answers face-to-face in Taichung city, Taiwan. We distributed 408 surveys of which 77.45% were used in this study. The results revealed that consumer attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and food neophobia significantly influence purchase intention, whereas subjective norms and environmental concern did not demonstrate significant relationships with purchase intention. According to these results, we suggest that businesses emphasize consumers’ product experience or reduce levels of food neophobia to increase consumer interest in insect foods and improve the acceptability of such foods, thereby increasing purchase intention.

This study aims to determine the effect of attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control of interest in investing. This research use theory of planned behavior to explain how behavior is formed through attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control in taking investment decision. This research uses online survey data collection methods. Sampling uses the convenient sampling method. Data (questionnaire) which can be used as many as 100 data and using multiple regression analysis as the test tool. The results showed that the attitude variable has not a significant effect towards investing interest in the capital market, while subjective and perceived norms behavioral control has influenced investment interest in the capital market.  Based on the research findings, it is advisable to use persuasion that emphasizes the involvement of those closest to potential investors. In addition, seminars organized by IDX and the government will greatly help increase investor knowledge, thereby increasing one's investment power control.

The objective of this study is to compare the use of emotional appeal (guilt appeals and sadness appeals) on donation advertisement on Rohingya social disasters against the intention of donating using the perspective of Planned Behavior Theory. The research method used in this research is quantitative research with experimental design with convenience sampling, that is, master sudent at Airlangga University. By using ANOVA test and multiple linear regression, this study answers the hypothesists. The results show that sadness appeals has greater impact than guilt appeal in the formation of subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. In addition, this study found that behavioral control not signifiacantly impact the intention of donating. This research also provides implications for nonprofit organizational managers to pay attention in delivering information of donation to donors, because respondents had begun to more sensitive of the type of advertising framing.

This study focuses on examining the impact of three components of materialism on green purchase intention for urban consumers in Vietnam, an emerging economy. An extended Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) is applied as the conceptual framework for this study. The hypotheses are empirically tested using survey data obtained from consumers in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The regression results show support for most of our hypotheses. The findings indicate that two out of three facets of materialism are significant predictors of green purchase intention. Specifically, success is found to be negatively related to purchase intention, while happiness is related positively to the intention. All three antecedents in the TPB model, including attitude towards green purchase, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control are also found to have positive impacts on purchase intention. The research findings are discussed and implications for managers and policy makers are provided.

Abstract Background Teaching engineering at a high school level has been a subject of substantial concern during recent curriculum reforms. Many countries are increasingly including engineering-focused subjects in their technology curriculum guidelines. However, technology teachers face challenges regarding the optimal implementation of an engineering-focused curriculum. It is essential to understand technology teachers’ perceptions of and behavior in classroom practices when teaching an engineering-focused curriculum. To explore the factors influencing the effective implementation of the curriculum, this study aimed to explore the association between technology teachers’ perceptions regarding curriculum guidelines (i.e., perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and beliefs) and their behavioral intentions. In addition, this study explored how these perceptions change for teachers who participated in a professional development program (PDP) for teaching an engineering-focused curriculum compared with those who did not participate in the program (NoPDP). Results In this study, structural equation modeling was used to investigate factors potentially influencing teachers’ behavioral intentions, including subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. The results showed that technology teachers’ behavioral intentions were influenced by their perceptions of the curriculum's usefulness. Subjective norms and perceived behavioral control were also significant determinants of behavioral intentions. Moreover, the results differed between the two groups. Perceived usefulness had direct and indirect effects on the behavioral intentions of the PDP and NoPDP groups, respectively. Conclusions We constructed a model of technology teachers’ behavioral intentions to implement an engineering-focused curriculum and identified factors influencing technology teachers’ behavioral intentions to implement an engineering-focused curriculum. Our conclusions are as follows: (1) the model was adequate for determining the factors influencing technology teachers’ behavioral intentions; (2) in the PDP group, perceived usefulness, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were significantly associated with behavioral intentions; and (3) in the NoPDP group, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were associated with behavioral intentions and self-reported behavior only via the mediating factor of beliefs. The above influencing factors should be taken into account when planning professional development programs for pre- and in-service teachers, as these programs will have implications regarding the successful implementation of an engineering-focused curriculum.

Higher education institutions (HEIs), among other social systems, have an irreplaceable role in combating COVID-19. However, we know little about institutional and individual factors that might facilitate university students’ beliefs and behaviors toward preventive behaviors for COVID-19 within the higher education context. Our study applies an extended theory of planned behavior (TPB) model to investigate the structural relationships among the institutional climate, attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and preventive behaviors of university students and to detect the moderating impacts of perceived risk on the structural model. Data were collected from 3693 university students at 18 universities in Beijing, China through an online survey. Structural equation modeling (SEM) and multigroup analysis were performed to examine the empirical model. The results reveal that (1) the institutional climate has a significant, direct effect on preventive behaviors for COVID-19 among university students, (2) the TPB components, namely attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control, partially mediate the relationship between the institutional climate and preventive behaviors for COVID-19, and (3) perceived risk moderates several paths in the model. Theoretical and practical implications are offered, and recommendations for future research are outlined.
