Nowadays learning Russian in business communication is a major part of vocational education and training and within this academic subject it is possible for university students to develop soft skills. This research examined the formation, development and application of a universal set of soft skills to help graduates adapt to the modern labor market. The study was conducted with 196 first-year students in the Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service. A subjective scale technique was applied using a survey-questionnaire. The data were processed using systematization and generalization methods. The results showed that subjective attitudes to the application of soft skills were developed in students studying Business Russian. The building of soft skills helps students use knowledge in practice and to increase their motivation for personal professional growth and development. The research revealed that 21 out of 24 declared soft skills are actively formed in students in the course of teaching. In addition, the analysis gave an objective view of the abilities, interests and tendencies of each student. This information is necessary to improve the educational process. The results of the research play an important role in the development of the theory of competence model of successful modern graduates. The research results can be used by universities to develop and improve working curricula in accordance with the requirements of new educational standards.

The article considers the possibility of using non-traditional recreational facilities in the educational process with university students. The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of the developed methodology for fitball gymnastics and fitness yoga on the health level of students. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were set: theoretically substantiate the proposed methodology of classes; identify and conduct a comparative analysis of adaptive potential according to the method of R.M. Baevsky and the level of the functional state of first-year students during an experimental study. Scientific novelty lies in the expansion of theoretical and practical approaches to physical education at the university. The positive impact of the proposed teaching methods on the level of functional readiness of first-year students is substantiated and experimentally proved. To improve the methodology, a set of methods was used: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, the method of pedagogical research, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics.

The study focuses on advanced technologies associated with the use of interactive and animated videos, web quests with scenario branching, interactive worksheets, flash cards, interactive exercises, training simulators, collaboration services, and others in the educational process. advanced technologies, university students have soft skills as “soft skills” or transprofessional competences, manifested in different fields of activity. One of these transprofessional competences is the information competence of university students. The development of information competence of students of the direction of training "Pedagogical education" as transprofessional is possible through advanced technologies. Attention is drawn to the description of the experience of using such technologies for the development of information competence of university students. Examples of the use of these technologies by students are given.

The article is devoted to the problem of forming motivation for professional self -improvement of students majoring in "Preschool education" in the course of pedagogical practice. According to the study, the article describes different approaches to the problem of development of processes of self-improvement, self-development, self-reflection in scientific works of modern Ukrainian and foreign scientists. It was found that professional self-improvement as an internal process of qualitative self-change is possible, first of all, by teacher’s awareness of the need for self-improvement, formation of internal motivation in self-development and purposeful organized activities aimed at finding opportunities for maximum professional self-realization. The essence and types of motives (pedagogical, personal, social) that encourage students to professional self-improvement are revealed; the necessity of formation an internal motivation for professional growth in future educators of preschool institutions is argued. The influence of pedagogical practice (mandatory component of the educational process of higher education institution) on the formation of professional self-improvement is substantiated; highlighted the tasks, content of educational (psychological and pedagogical) practice of first-year students majoring in "Preschool Education" as the basis of professional self-determination, and features of preparing students for it (master class, self-diagnosis, individual consultations on various practice tasks) on the basis of the Center for Self-Knowledge, which operates at the Pedagogical Institute of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. The analysis of empirical research results on the urgency of students' needs for professional self-improvement is carried out, the motives of professional self-improvement are determined; the dynamics of changes in motives that induce first, second and third year students to professional growth are analyzed. The conditions that promote the formation of internal motivation for professional self-improvement of future educators of preschool education institutions during different types of pedagogical practice are outlined; underscored on the inclusion in the content of practices special tasks for the formation of reflection, implementation of information and computer technologies is also needed (electronic portfolio "Personal and professional growth of the student").

The article focuses on the issue of soft skills development in the university students which comes from the necessity to improve educational process to make professional training effective. This detailed research reveals the key approaches and ways to form personal and social characteristics which in addition to professional skills make up the base of the professional activity. Having analyzed social work and character building experience accumulated by specialists of the Orenburg State university in development of students’ autonomy within students’ organizations we could make a conclusion on the efficiency of using university social and educational potential in development of the students’ soft skills.

This paper aims to discuss students' attitudes towards enrolling in online English postgraduate programs at Virtual universities with a special reference to the Syrian Virtual University. It would therefore highlight the benefits that students get at these virtual universities as an alternative to traditional on campus education. Several points will be unwrapped such as virtual universities being an alternative under certain circumstances, and students' perception of the educational process in terms of fulfillment.

This study dealt with the attitudes of university students of Batubara towards Batubara Malay language. The data were collected from 20 university students of Batubara in Medan. The instruments used for collecting the data were observation sheet, questionnaire sheet and depth interview. The data were analyzed by Moleong’s theory. The findings showed that the respondents’ attitudes were: 12 (60%) negative and 8 (40%) positive. The attitudes levels of university students included in negative and positive attitudes namely in: receiving 11 (55%) negative and 9 (45%) positive, responding 12 (60%) negative and 8 positive, valuing 10 (50%) negative and 10 (50%)  positive,  organizing 12 (60%) positive and 8 (40%) negative, and internalizing values 12 (60%) negative and 8 (40%) positive. The factors influenced the university students’ attitudes were language disloyalty 12 (60%) negative and 8 (40%) positive, language pride lack 14 (70%) negative and 7 (30%) positive, in the unawareness of the norms 11 (55%) negative and 9 (45%) positive. Bahasa Indonesia is dominantly spoken by the university students of Batubara in Medan which caused they have less frequency in using their Batubara Malay language with their friends who are from same region in Medan. The article describes the experience of conducting a theoretical cycle for medical University students in isolation of students and teachers. The author analyzes a survey of students about their studies and life in quarantine, as well as teachers about the difficulties of organizing distance learning. The author concludes that this situation is a good forced experience for the organization of the educational process in the future.

This article sets sights on highlighting the effectiveness and efficiency of higher and vocational education and training, as well as exploring ways to address and implement the current reform agenda in the field. The research was conducted on the basis of a generalizing and comparative method, to identify the problems and development of vocational and higher education. Within the framework of the conducted research the current state of vocational and higher education has been characterized; the features of online learning at leading universities and its advantages has been clarified; the prospects of introduction of continuity of education have been studied, for the development of personality abilities, taking into account changes in society in the context of improvement of the system of vocational and higher education caused by the European integration process of education; directions for the development of vocational and higher education as part of the national education system and society in general have been outlined. It is determined, that at the present stage the domestic education system should be improved and transferred to an innovative way of development in accordance with developed countries. In the near future, such modern forms of education as: distance education, dual education, continuing vocational education and others, should be improved and implemented into the educational process.
