The analysis of the obtained data makes it possible to determine the level of activity of students and teachers in the issue of the introduction of social networks and mobile devices in the process of knowledge acquisition and skills development by modern applicants of higher education, and also indicates the level of youth activity in the issue of reforming educational technologies, the introduction of modern methods of organizing the educational process and his support. The results of the study underline the active attitude of young people to the reform of higher education, but prove that the students themselves are not always willing to actively engage in educational initiatives, some of them prefer passive communication and photo viewing. Based on the data obtained from the questionnaire, it can be concluded that social networks are not used for educational purposes systematically. Students, for the most part, consider social networks as an opportunity to seek information, that is, as a peculiar search engine. Only one per cent of respondents consider social networks as an opportunity to create an educational community for communication with like-minded people.

This study is focused on the advantages and disadvantages of using a digital portfolio to improve the learning and evaluation processes in the initial teacher training of 4th-year students in the University of Seville (Spain). One of the interests of this research was to compare the learning capacities perceived by the students to improve their learning process before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative, descriptive methodology was applied, identifying the most relevant dimensions, categories and codes for the analysis, management and interpretation of the opinions of the students, with a research triangulation (Cohen’s kappa coefficient) and a coding performed using the ATLAS.ti 8.4 software. The results show that the advantages with greater percentage correspond to the following categories: learning, usefulness of OneDrive, autonomy and evaluation. The greatest disadvantages detected were: time, uncertainty, usefulness of OneDrive and autonomy. There are differences in the perceptions of the students, between before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, about the learning capacities developed with the use of digital portfolio, since they consider that they have acquired more significant learning, greater self-regulation of their learning and greater reflection capacity.

The purpose of this article is to evaluate the effectiveness of models of training students in pedagogical specialties based on the theory of constructivism. The research methodology is based on a survey of students on the acquisition of knowledge in the learning process on the example of universities in Ukraine and Poland. The results of the study demonstrate the formation of students' knowledge in the process of organizing learning based on the methods of pedagogical constructivism. Students of the experimental group demonstrate a higher level of activity if the teacher uses communication and trust-oriented teaching methods. The scientific value of this research lies in the possibility of using the results of student surveys by teachers of pedagogical universities to understand which elements of constructivist pedagogy should be used to increase the efficiency of the educational process.

Recent studies are focusing on how social networks impact the learning process and how students organize themselves to face collaborative tasks via these networks, as well as their impact on the learning outcomes of the students. In a number of these studies, learning social aspects are analyzed, showing, among other issues of interest, that participating in social networks positively affects students’ self-esteem. In this article it is shown how this applies to the university model being adopted in Europe. Nowadays, the student is limited by the class and by the restricted group of people enrolled in that same university degree. In which way can the university facilitate that students get to each other so that they can find aspects in common and therefore the set of relationships grows? This chapter shows how our university—Universidad de Almería, UAL—globalizes its campus providing access to every student, as well as how this social network is succeeding.

High competition in the educational service market and the necessity to provide advanced level of quality in training of specialists require introducing into traditional educational form a new format based on information technologies and interactive methods of educational process by research and educational staff of higher education institution. The specific of MOODLE using for distance learning during the quarantine COVID-19 is considered and its advantages and disadvantages for training management and administration specialists are discussed in the article. The questionnaire which was carried out by authors among students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the Centralukrainian National Technical University in terms of their attitude about LMS MOODLE use for distance training during spring semester of 2019–2020 academic year students shows the next results: Most of the students had a positive attitude to distance learning – 48,3 %, negative – 34,5 %, neutral – 17,2 %. From students prospective the main advantages were the opportunity to study and work at the same time (32.4 %) to plan more flexible study schedule (29.7 %). Existence of such negative situation as wish to cheat while performing tests and tasks in MOODLE. Difficulties for lecturers to control stand-alone basis tests and tasks performance by students. The main problem was the independent study of lectures and practical tasks by students without teachers’ support. To improve the effectiveness of training asynchronous Moodle or Google Classroom platforms and learning sessions in Zoom, Meet, Skype, etc should be combined. This approach allows visualizing educational material with presentations and simplifying training materials by students, as well as expanding opportunities for students with special educational needs to obtain professions in management and administration.
