Having worked with plant collections for 30 years perspectives change, particularly as we face increasing environmental challenges. Collections celebrate plant diversity whether it’s grown for science, conservation, education or for joy. These all remain strong and valid reasons, whilst the increasing awareness of environmental issues and notably the challenges of a changing climate bring a new emphasis. Horticulturists have been at the forefront of recognising these impacts, adapting our management and noting the changing behaviour of plants. In our collections, cultivated plants will be increasingly important as we adapt and mitigate, placing a new emphasis on conserving and utilising them. Connected is the increased recognition of the value of plants and green spaces to our well-being. These challenges raise the importance and relevance of plant diversity and horticulture to the wider society. So can horticulturists save the World? We will certainly have a major contribution to make.

In this time of pandemic, the world has turned to Internet-based, RTC (realtime communication) as never before. The number of RTC products has, over the past decade, exploded in large part because of cheaper high-speed network access and more powerful devices, but also because of an open, royalty-free platform called WebRTC. WebRTC is growing from enabling useful experiences to being essential in allowing billions to continue their work and education, and keep vital human contact during a pandemic. The opportunities and impact that lie ahead for WebRTC are intriguing indeed.

There are various signs indicating that the Earth's natural environment is changing toward unfavorable direction for species, which is highly suspected to be connected with human activities. In the last century, people all over the world have realized the severity of environmental issues. In the long history, Chinese ancient had already development good rules and methods to reach balance between economic development and environment sustainability. This paper will discuss how environmental concepts forms and which methods could be applied in the future.

Nowadays, one of the most essential environmental issues around the world is to deal with the scrap tire problem. Tires that are used, rejected or unwanted are classified as scrap tires and need to be managed responsibly. In this paper, the scrap tires were shredded into pieces and used to mix with normal weight concrete. Extensive laboratory tests were carried out and the focus of this paper was to characterize the mechanical and permeability properties of concrete containing scrap tires. The main parameters studied were chipped tire content and size. The results showed that the scrap-tire chips without adding special bonding agents apparently showed an even distribution in the mortar and concrete matrix. The elastic modulus, compressive and tensile strengths of scrap tire concrete in general were found lower than that of the control concrete and the differences became significant when the content and size of chipped tires in the mix were increased. Besides, the coefficients of water permeability of concrete were found to increase with increase of chipped tires in the mix.

Abstract. It is a matter of current study to determine potential climate changes in different parts of the world, especially in regions like a basin which has the potential to affect socioeconomic and environmental issues in a defined area. This study provides a comparison between several climate change indices trends of two very different basins in Mexico, one located in the northern arid region (the Conchos River basin) and the other in the southern humid area (the Usumacinta River basin). First, quality control, homogenization, and completion of the missing data were applied before calculating the climate change indices and their respective trends for the combined period 1961–1994. A clear warming signal was found for the two basins in addition to an increment in the DTR, in agreement with other studies in Mexico. Also, the Conchos River basin was found to be more humid and the Usumacinta River basin drier, in accordance to a supposed seesaw behavior indicated in previous analysis.

Disposal of waste tire rubber has become one of the major environmental issues in each part the World. One of the possible solutions to dispose of scrap tire rubber is using them into concrete curbs. This paper presents a new method to ameliorate the rubber concrete using a particular rubber size and Nano Material. Initially six mix designs were performed to determine the optimized size and percentage of rubber according to compressive strength. Afterwards, the major concrete curbs were made with the optimum mix design. Three different samples were made to determine the effects of rubber and Nano. One of which was made without rubber and Nano, the other was made with rubber and the last with rubber and Nano. Experiments were carried out to determine the durability and strength of specimens according to ISIRI-12728.

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the economic development of civilization in the 21st century is accompanied by numerous environmental and social challenges that scientists around the world are constantly working on. Technogenic and natural disasters that occur on the planet are associated with climate change, which in turn, a significant number of researchers and world leaders believe is a consequence of economic activity. The subject of research of the article is the concept of sustainable development, which actually includes these three aspects: economic, social and environmental.. The goal is the evolution of the concepts of nature use in the context of global environmental challenges and their practical use in countries around the world. The objective is to research the concept of sustainable ecologically balanced development of the national economy. General scientific methods are used, such as system analysis. The following results were obtained: the transition to sustainable development has led to the emergence of numerous concepts of its implementation in the area of addressing sustainable use of natural resources. The theoretical substantiation of such in terms of the laws of thermodynamics is simply impossible, as well as the invention of "perpetual motion". However, the use of inexhaustible energy sources (such as thermonuclear, solar, geothermal, tidal, etc.) and renewable biological resources (transgenic, cloning, etc.) allows us to talk about the possibility of theoretical justification for sustainable ecologically balanced development. At the same time, relative, since this nature use is possible only within use) of the limits of balance in profit and expenditure (reproduction natural resources). Conclusions: implementation of sustainable development is possible only in the form of sustainable eco-balanced development based on rapidly renewable biological resources and the use of practically inexhaustible energy sources, as well as the use of high technologies. Such development can provide a solution to economic, social and environmental problems with the preservation of the natural complex.

The pandemic that hit the world in 2020 significantly affected global business and the fashion industry. Companies have been forced to rethink their current way of doing business, while consumers have reviewed their priorities, emerging needs and constraints, care for health, the environment, and the community. All these aspects together have shaped a slightly different global fashion market and companies' business practices, which have made great efforts to maintain their status, audience, and sales. The focus of this paper is Milan's "Fashion Week" held during 2020 and innovative technological solutions that serve to compensate for the limitations imposed by circumstances. Also, there's a few words about other (un)predictable situations such as price fluctuations, closure of production plants, overcoming safety and environmental challenges, and sustainable business.

Article endeavors to analyze the prophetic guiding principles regarding human behaviors related to plants and trees being an important component of our environment. The discussion mainly deals with the key environmental issues emphasizing plantation and its significance for balancing the equilibrium of the environment. Additionally, it thrashes out that humans are urged to seedling the plantation even the world is to be ended in Islam. The present study is delimited to the present ecological crises faced by society and a great challenge to the globe. The current ecological problems i.e global warming and climate change are interpreted just to analyze the environmental behaviors in Hadith literature. However, a profundity descriptive study has been conducted in the most influential way to examine the prophetic rules for human behaviors related to trees and plants being environment friendly. Furthermore, the existing practices of humans related to such an environmental sphere also been aptly figure out to highlight all possible ways in the light of prophetic guidance to deal with prevailing environmental issues. Inconsistency between religious teachings and human behaviors need the keen interest of religious scholars and social scientists to carefully harmonize both for maintaining the ecological balance in nature.
