The problems that underlined this research included: the development of children's social skills was still not optimal, learning models in the classroom were less varied, including in the selection of media and, the interaction of students with other students was still lacking so that learning was still monotonous and less interesting. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the project-based learning model which is assisted with traditional clogs toward the social skills of the fifth-grade elementary school students. The study applied a non-equivalent control group design. Determination of the sample applied random sampling techniques. The population of this study was all students of class V. In this study, the obtained samples were 62 people. Data collection applied observation techniques. The instrument was the observation sheet. The calculation results of average gain in students’ social skills scores were given the treatment of project-based learning models in which learning was assisted with traditional game clogs included 0.295 in the category of very sufficient, while students who were taught conventional learning models had an average score of social skills score of -0.022 , belongs to the less category. Thus, based on these findings, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model assisted by traditional game clogs influences the social skills of fifth grade elementary school students. This model can be used as a choice by teachers to be used as an alternative to improve social skills.

The biological ecosystem is a common conceptual model used to describe the organization and interplay of elements in many systems, including learning systems. However, the analogy is rarely fully extended to all components of the original biological model. This chapter fully extends the ecosystem analogy for use in describing a modern learning ecosystem, including those parallels most often left absent. It also provides examples as to how extending these analogies can aid learning engineers and scholars to better understand, diagnose, and design effective learning models. Throughout, this modern learning ecosystem analogy will be applied to an online public school learning model.

Social skills in children are the basis for living with others. Therefore, a model of social-based ecological support is needed to improve the social skills of children. With the developmental ecology, the various potentials that exist in children can be facilitated, because the child's developmental ecology is the whole environment that allows children to get the facilities and the right stimulus, so that there is a healthy learning process. The research was conducted at TK Ar Rahman Bandar Lampung, in July-December 2017. The target of this research is the students of group B TK Ar Rahman as the main object of research and teacher as secondary object or model user. this study the authors only limit in the first stage of the preliminary study in the form of analysis of the next needs to be done further research by developing learning model.

The learning model used by teachers does not vary, resulting in the activeness and independence of students in learning is reduced. Therefore, a new learning model needs to be developed that stimulate the activeness and independence of students, namely the discussion learning model and personal investigation. This research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach. Researchers were focused on developing discussion learning models and personal investigations to be able developing a new learning model that can be applied in learning with clear steps according to scientific rules. The results of research were as follows: (1) students were more active in learning, (2) students no longer rely on friends when there are assignments or discussions, (3) problems that occur in learning can be analyzed by students easily, (4) Models could help foster a sense of responsibility in each student, especially responsibilities as a group member, (5) the learning process in the class was more enjoyable. Based on the analysis of research results and discussions, it can be concluded that the development of discussion learning models and personal investigations that have been implemented in sociology learning has a positive impact both for students and teachers. Students were more active in learning, and students were more independent and better identify social problems. The discussion learning model and personal investigation are appropriately applied in sociology learning in the classroom. Based on the results of the research, it was suggested that: (1) teachers should use different learning models in the learning process so that students are more active in the following learning, (2) This new learning model can be used as a reference for teachers in doing classroom learning, and (3) Discussion learning models and investigative personals can be applied by teachers in sociology learning.

AbstractAccurate prediction of lipophilicity—logP—based on molecular structures is a well-established field. Predictions of logP are often used to drive forward drug discovery projects. Driven by the SAMPL7 challenge, in this manuscript we describe the steps that were taken to construct a novel machine learning model that can predict and generalize well. This model is based on the recently described Directed-Message Passing Neural Networks (D-MPNNs). Further enhancements included: both the inclusion of additional datasets from ChEMBL (RMSE improvement of 0.03), and the addition of helper tasks (RMSE improvement of 0.04). To the best of our knowledge, the concept of adding predictions from other models (Simulations Plus logP and [email protected], respectively) as helper tasks is novel and could be applied in a broader context. The final model that we constructed and used to participate in the challenge ranked 2/17 ranked submissions with an RMSE of 0.66, and an MAE of 0.48 (submission: Chemprop). On other datasets the model also works well, especially retrospectively applied to the SAMPL6 challenge where it would have ranked number one out of all submissions (RMSE of 0.35). Despite the fact that our model works well, we conclude with suggestions that are expected to improve the model even further.
