The food industry is one of the commodities that always grows and develops in line with the increasing needs and demands of the market. The growth in demand for fermented foods in the market is due in part to the increased interest in healthy food and the awareness of consumers' perceptions that fermentation is a naturally beneficial process. The ferementation process is inseparable from the role of probiotic microorganisms, bioactive compounds, and micronutrients produced through microbial action. This literature review study aims to analyze the role of probiotics in the fermentation of typical foods in Java, which have the potential to act as an immune regulatory system. The results of a literature study on various kinds of fermented specialties in Java and the manufacturing process show that the microbes that play a role in food fermentation consist of mold and bacteria. These microbes have the potential as an immune regulatory system.

Foreign-trained engineers make up a significant number of the skilled immigrants accepted to Canada annually. This study seeks to identify the various barriers discussed in the literature that these foreign-trained engineers face in gaining licensure and successful employment in Canada. It also examines the findings from a survey conducted of previous graduates of Ryerson University's Internationally Educated Engineers Qualification Bridging (IEEQB) Program. The purpose of the research was to identify whether or not the bridging program assists foreign-trained engineers in obtaining a P.Eng license and finding employment in their fields. Twelve participants were involved in the study; the study found that the participants faced the barriers discussed in the literature. The information found in this study will be used as a stepping-stone in future research to reduce the difficulties foreign-trained engineers face and assist them to successfully integrate into the Canadian labour market.

Siosar is one of the tourist areas located in Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The tourism development of Siosar tourism area involves the roles of stakeholders, namely government, private sector and community. The role of stakeholders is needed to carry out development including tourism development so that it can be carried out optimally. Stakeholders are individuals or groups involved in tourism development. The purpose of this research is to analyze the roles of stakeholders in developing the tourism area of Siosar. The research method used is a literature review study. The results showed that the role of stakeholders in the development of the Siosar tourism area was not significant. Siosar is a tourist area that has natural potential, agro-tourism, and others that must be developed properly. Each stakeholder plays its role, but has not given optimal results, there are still imbalances in roles and the obstacles faced indicate that stakeholders have not fully played their roles, both the roles of the government, the private sector and the community. The role of stakeholders is not yet optimal because there is no cooperation and communication that is well established. The local government should have collaborated with the private sector and the community to make efforts in developing tourism, so that tourism development in the Siosar tourism area can be more optimal and significant.

Lactic acid bacteria are a kind of microorganisms that can ferment carbohydrates to produce lactic acid, and are currently widely used in the fermented food industry. In recent years, with the excellent role of lactic acid bacteria in the food industry and probiotic functions, their microbial metabolic characteristics have also attracted more attention. Lactic acid bacteria can decompose macromolecular substances in food, including degradation of indigestible polysaccharides and transformation of undesirable flavor substances. Meanwhile, they can also produce a variety of products including short-chain fatty acids, amines, bacteriocins, vitamins and exopolysaccharides during metabolism. Based on the above-mentioned metabolic characteristics, lactic acid bacteria have shown a variety of expanded applications in the food industry. On the one hand, they are used to improve the flavor of fermented foods, increase the nutrition of foods, reduce harmful substances, increase shelf life, and so on. On the other hand, they can be used as probiotics to promote health in the body. This article reviews and prospects the important metabolites in the expanded application of lactic acid bacteria from the perspective of bioengineering and biotechnology.

This article discusses the scientific literature review on Chinese acupuncture and "GI"  acupuncture as an attempt therapy many cases, besides that specifically studied the effectiveness of traditional acupuncture china to stress with "GI" acupuncture. Chinese acupuncture is an acupuncture method that was developed in China since ± 2000 years ago, while "GI" acupuncture is a method of acupuncture that was developed at the Institute Technology Bandung by acupuncturists Gunawan Ismail (Alm) is slightly different from the traditional Chinese acupuncture, where acupuncture "GI "based on a 7 acupuncture points on the body for ase points determined based of Java massage. Each method studied acupuncture and its role as a therapeutic efforts on a variety of cases, and the results of the study showed some success in handling cases of diseases such as fibromyalgia, stroke and stress. The role of acupuncture GI who want to see here is give the same effectiveness with traditional acupuncture originated from China or even better.

Bioactive compounds (e.g., flavonoids, phenolics acids, alkaloids and carotenoids) are commercially-valued products, due to their wide array of applications in the medical, pharmacological, cosmetic, agriculture and food industry. A strategy applied to increase or enhancing bioactive compounds production in plants is controlled elicitation. In recent years, many researchers have studied the role of nanoparticles (NPs) as a novel elicitor for the biosynthesis of bioactive compounds shown that the NPs could affect the plant’s secondary metabolism in plant and culture systems. In this sense, recent studies have highlighted the potential applications of nanotechnology in crop production by improving the nutraceutical and nutritional quality of plants. In this review, we present studies about the application of NPs to enhance the production of bioactive plant metabolites. The aforementioned studies in ex vitro as in vitro, in addition to the effect of post-harvest by NPs application.

COVID-19 has become one of the problems that attacks all elements of national and state life. The effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic are not only related to health, but also attack the social aspects and resilience of a country. It is not surprising that the COVID-19 Pandemic can be classified as a non-military threat to a nation. This paper discusses the role of society through attitudes towards State defense such as Following Health Protocols (Keeping Distance, Washing Hands and Wearing Masks) as a Form of State Defense in the Era of COVID-19. This research is a literature review study that discusses social issues using 3 types of approaches, namely the statute approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. The results of this study reveal that we need to adjust to new behaviors in order to be healthier, safer, and more compliant. We need to use all tools available to motivate citizens. The role of the community in breaking the chain of transmission of the disease COVID-19 (risk of contracting and transmission) must be carried out by implementing a number of health protocols. The conclusion of this study is that COVID-19 has become a very big problem for all countries, forcing the security of the state. The main thing the community can do to combat a disease is with the Following Health Protocols such as Keeping Distance, Washing Hands and Wearing Masks.

Coronavirus has become certain threat toward dental and oral healthcare, therefore Dental and Oral Hospital as healthcare and academic facilities in dentistry should notice to conduct Coronavirus (Covid-19) prevention and control efforts. The article aims to analyze the importance of policies on Coronavirus (Covid-19) prevention and control in Dental and Oral Hospital. The Literature Review used in the article was Systematic Literature review method by analyzing 429 arcticles in the search engine of WHO scientific articles related to the key words and obtained 13 articles which were collected as the literature study materials which were related to the theme of the implementation of Coronavirus (Covid-19) prevention and control policies. Based on the result of the study it may get conlcuded that the Management Role of Dental and Oral Hospital as the designer and the instigator of healthcare service and academic activities implementation is very crucial. Commitment of the stakeholders should be performed yet need to consider the guidelines aspect which is suggested and used from various references as well as the central government’s policies to apply effective Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) prevention and control. In the prevention and control related to dentistry academic activities it requires an available smart gadget and application to enable students listening and reviewing lectures at anywhere and anytime possible. Therefore, the implementation of Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) prevention and control may run effectively and efficiently.
