Data collection methods used in this study are through questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The tendency of teacher-student interaction variables is 10% (3 students) in the high category, 73.4% (22 students) is in the medium category, and 16.6% (5 students) is in the low category. These results indicate that the educative interaction of teachers with students in the MA Al-Hidayah Ibun included in the medium category. (3) There is a significant correlation between teacher's educational interactions with students on student learning interest in History subjects Islamic Culture at MA Al-Hidayah Ibun. This is evidenced through hypothesis testing using product moment correlation, obtained correlation coefficient value r count = 0.5304, then consulted with the value of r product moment with n = 30 at a significant level of 5% or 0.05, 0.361. Then the conclusion is that r count > r table, so Hypothesis 1 is accepted.

It is not a recent phenomenon that films encourage viewers to visit the places where they are set. This movement is called film-induced tourism and it has been gaining more and more studies and supporters. The associations that can be established between cinema and tourism, however, go far beyond this type of tourism, and this essay intends to present one of these associations: the one that investigates how films can be tools for teaching and learning in a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Course. With this scope, an eclectic study corpus was carried out, from which 40 films were selected in order to stimulate the discussion about the tourism practice. To optimize this discussion, topics that cover tourism market segmentation, tourism elements, jobs in the tourism industry, film-induced tours and the relationship between tourists and residents were established. The analysis of the findings showed that the films discussed along this essay can be used in the scope of different subjects in the context of Tourism undergraduate courses, as tools to illustrate and debate various aspects of the tourism activity.

Instrumental tuition has predominantly been conceptualized in terms of a master–apprentice model that facilitates the transmission of skills, knowledge and cultural intellect through teaching and learning. Research suggests the one-to-one tuition model needs to evolve and adapt to meet the demands of the 21st century musician. Within the jazz/improvisation lesson, the learning and teaching of improvisory ability is a complex activity where developing improvisers hone motor-specific skills, audiative ability, imaginative and creative impulses that connect and respond to strategic individual and collaborative catalysts. Observing the negotiation of learning and teaching in three lessons in improvisation between expert practitioner-educators and their students, this study reveals a cognitive apprenticeship model that can provide a framework for teachers to develop students’ cognitive and meta-cognitive abilities, and understandings of expert practice. Case studies of three teacher-practitioners and their advanced students explore the “in the moment” teacher–student interactions and teaching techniques that expert improviser-educators utilize in developing mastery and expertise in their students. Teaching to an advanced improvisation student is a dynamic, fluid and reflexive interplay of pedagogical applications of modelling, scaffolding, coaching, and reflective processes. The holistic imparting of knowledge can be understood as a cognitive apprenticeship. Careful guidance by a teacher/mentor can offer the student an immersive environment that brings thinking, action and reflection to the forefront of learning. Implications are identified for more effective, collaborative and inventive ways of assisting learning and inculcating deeper understandings of factual, conceptual and problem-solving concepts that draw students into a culture of expert practice.

This article analyses the relationship between political theory and social theory. The separation of political and social theory (and of political theory from other areas in the study of politics) is a relatively recent development. The most significant difference between conventional political theory and conventional social theory concerns the relationship between normative and descriptive/explanatory issues in the analysis of social/political life. In spite of their differences, however, political and social theory share the one set of historical roots and, partly in consequence, a core set of assumptions. They specifically share intellectual and cultural history.
