Beef cattle's sharing is an Indonesian traditional economic system that is formed naturally based on local wisdom values. Even though it is done traditionally, the principles of good cooperation have been practiced. Based on that, this research aims to describe the economic perspective, particularly the accountability values embedded in Indonesia's local cattle sharing system. This research employs a case study to obtain the accountability values in two local, regional cattle sharing locations in Java and Madura. Informants of this research are local cattle farmers, investors, and middlemen. Data analysis uses a single case-multilevel analysis method. The study results show that Javanese's accountability values apply in "mantep-mantepan lan percoyo" wisdom or mutualism trust. Meanwhile, the Madurese perform accountability values in "oreng jujur bakal pojur" or honest man will get his luck. The value of local wisdom affinity is also carried out in profit sharing management. The Javanese and Madurese considerate accountability in cattle sharing system based on mutual support within parties involved and brotherhood establishment. The added value of the local wisdom tends to reduce the profits sharing risk obtained by the parties.

This research is a qualitative case study aiming at analyzing the effects of accreditation on school system elements. Accordingly, interviews were conducted with administrators and teachers at an IB-PYP accredited school. There are questions directed towards understanding the impacts of the accreditation on the elements of open system in the semi-structured interview form used for the data collection tool in the interviews. Thematic analysis was utilized as the data analysis method. Inputs, process, outputs, feedback and envirionment elements of open system were used as the data analysis framework. According to the study results, the administrators and teachers think that accreditation has positive effects on the school system. However, the school community’s attitude, the staff’s professional competency, communication and teamwork skills have a decisive role in the formation of these positive effects and successful implemation of the program. Moreover, it could be stated that schools devise strategies to manage the dilemma they encounter among the national system, exam pressure and the program’s objectives, and learning outcomes.

This paper reports on a case study investigating distance learners participating in graduate-level hybrid synchronous instruction. This research helps inform the design of hybrid synchronous instruction in which face-to-face and distance learners engage in class sessions. Data were collected using electronic journals, individual interviews, and a focus group. The results of the data analysis provide evidence that in this case, hybrid synchronous instruction improved the study habits of distance learners. On the other hand, the case study results also revealed that there are challenging pedogogical aspects which the distance learners had to overcome during hybrid synchronous instruction. Among such challenges were the interactions, relationships, and communication exchanges between distance learners, their face-to-face counterparts, and the instructor.

The aim of this study is to explore the CELTA course from the perspective of EFL instructors. A single case study of qualitative research methods is employed in the study. The sample consists of 6 EFL instructors working for a private university in Turkey. The quantitative data of the research was obtained through course evaluation survey. Qualitative data was gathered by open-ended questions and interview forms developed by the researcher and also with the documents. Descriptive analysis was performed to show evaluation of the course in the quantitative phase of the research. On the other hand, the content analysis method was applied in the analysis of qualitative data. As a result of the study, the CELTA course is useful for EFL instructors’ careers; nevertheless the course components and content should be redesigned considering andragogic principles. Moreover, EFL instructors were pleased to take the course at the end of the course although the course’s weaknesses.

This research examines the influence of society’s perception about sharia bank toward intends to use sharia bank products. The data collection technique was a field survey that using questionnaire to the sample respondents. Sampling method used is accidental sampling method with 100 selected people by accidently. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression model. The result of this research indicate that people perception about bank sharia in banking system with interest, profit sharing system characteristics and sharia product knowledge, simultaneously have positive significant effect toward intends to use sharia product. Partially, only perception from knowledge of product variable has no influence toward society intends to Sharia bank products. Its means the better understanding about the no-interest banking system and also about profit sharing system as a basis for sharia bank practices, will increase society’s intends to use sharia products. Meanwhile, there is no effect for society perception whether they have a better or less knowledge of sharia bank products

Analyses of case studies are used to evaluate new or existing technologies, measures or strategies with regard to their impact on the overall process. However, data availability is limited and hence, new technologies, measures or strategies can only be tested on a limited number of case studies. Owing to the specific boundary conditions and system properties of each single case study, results can hardly be generalized or transferred to other boundary conditions. virtual infrastructure benchmarking (VIBe) is a software tool which algorithmically generates virtual case studies (VCSs) for urban water systems. System descriptions needed for evaluation are extracted from VIBe whose parameters are based on real world case studies and literature. As a result VIBe writes Input files for water simulation software as EPANET and EPA SWMM. With such input files numerous simulations can be performed and the results can be benchmarked and analysed stochastically at a city scale. In this work the approach of VIBe is applied with parameters according to a section of the Inn valley and therewith 1,000 VCSs are generated and evaluated. A comparison of the VCSs with data of real world case studies shows that the real world case studies fit within the parameter ranges of the VCSs. Consequently, VIBe tackles the problem of limited availability of case study data.

This study explores how market orientation and technology orientation within fuzzy front end phases affect product innovation success in complex products and systems (CoPS) industry research and development (R&D) organisations. A sequential qualitative–quantitative mixed method was used with a single case study and a questionnaire survey. The case study results show mix effects of market orientation and technology orientation on CoPS innovation success within fuzzy front end phases. The empirical test results show that a market orientation facilitates both low-tech and high-tech CoPS innovation success and offer great benefits to mainstream customers. A technology orientation is beneficial to high-tech CoPS innovation success but has no impact on low-tech CoPS innovation success. The results have significant implications for CoPS firm strategies to facilitate product innovations and achieve competitive advantages.

This research aims at describing the correct use of directional complements and elaborating the diversity and meanings of compound directional complement (CDC) used in Mandarin learners' interlanguage. This research is a case study on the essay of  Universitas Indonesia Chinese Study Program students. Results were obtained through qualitative data analysis method supported by simple calculation. Learners’ accuracy was reflected in identifying the direction of action, ordering the constituents in a sentence with directional complement, and selecting the motion verb. Meanwhile, inaccuracy appeared in four categories: misselection, misordering, overinclusion, and blends. On the other hand, the use of directional complements with literal meaning was very diverse, but not so for the metaphorical ones. Although the frequency of the metaphorical use of CDC was higher than the literal ones, there was a lack of the variation in the type of CDC used by the learners.

The Object of this study is Islamic Banks in Indonesia. The variables used in this study is Profit Sharing Rate and The Size of the Bank together and Mudharabah Total Deposits. Data analysis method used is Multiple Linear Regression. The results showed that the variable level of revenue sharing and the size of the bank jointly significant effect on the amount of savings deposits mudharabah. While predominantly known to the variable size of the bank which significantly affect the amount of savings deposits mudharabah. Implications of the study is that if the bank size increases, the greater the amount of savings bank deposits mudharabah obtained, so that the size of the banks may be determinant variables an investor in making an investment decision.
