School magazines are a medium for students to practice and develop their journalistic potential. A student must have qualified journalistic knowledge to produce good writing in a magazine. For this reason, training and assistance in magazine writing are necessary so that school magazines continue to exist and are of higher quality. One school that has a school magazine is MA Al-Muayyad Surakarta. Journalism training is essential at this school because many students have not developed their writings properly. The methods used in this training are interviews, presentations, discussions, and article writing training. This training was held in April 2018. This training activity provides good benefits, especially for the training participants, because before the training was held, most of the magazine's contents took sources from the internet. However, after the training, the students' writing became original, the language used got better, and the rubric content more diverse.

Outreach program carried out by a team from the IAI Al-Qodiri KKM was held in early July 01- 01 September 2019. Located in Panti district, Jember regency, this has made a very significant contribution to the community, especially in Kemiri village and received a very good welcome and high enthusiasm. The home industry counseling and training held in the district of Jember is one way to raise the economic level of the community. As with the government's five priority programs for 2019, one of them is to try to alleviate poverty and inequality. In this training, the Al-Qodiri KKM Team utilized young papaya fruit to become papaya sticks, which are natural products of the local community whose utilization is not optimal. It is hoped that the papaya stick home industry can become a home business with small capital and large profits. Apart from that, it also opens job opportunities for local people and improves their skills. Some of the supporting factors for these activities include: the participants of the socialization have a great willingness to take part in counseling and training on the papaya stick home industry, product marketing by entrusting them to the nearest shops or through social media in the form of Facebook and Whatsapp. Some of the obstacles faced during counseling and training for papaya stick home industry are: (1) there are limitations in supporting facilities for conducting counseling and training, including the absence of LCD and projectors. (2) The training activity which was planned to run for 2 days could not be realized due to collisions with the activities of the participants, the majority of whom were farm laborers, where their activities started from morning to evening. So that the socialization team was a bit troublesome to adjust the time accordingly. (3) it is difficult to access the internet to provide training in papaya stick product marketing because of the lack of signal in the area.

Virtual Reality techniques were used to develop an interactive application concerning the incremental launching construction of bridges, in the area of Civil Engineering. It was developed in order to facilitate understanding of the various phases involved in the construction. The visualization of the distinct physical steps of the construction is shown in the virtual application. The model makes it possible to view the physical evolution of the work, to follow the planned construction sequence and to visualize details of the form of every component of the work. It also supports the study of the type and method of operation of the equipment necessary for this construction activity. The application of visual simulation was designed to allow direct access to any stage of the constructive process in which it is based and may be viewed from any point within the virtual scene, thus facilitating their understanding. The access to the application can be established through a web page placed on the Internet. The model brings new perspectives in the training activity as a support to expose innovative methods or complex sequence construction.

Plagiarism is a misconduct act and a scourge for science. Plagiarism perpetrators steal other author's work without citing the original references. Psychology is one of the most vulnerable sciences with plagiarism and must give more attention to this issue. Several types of plagiarism can be distinguished to the plagiarism motivation (intentional, unintentional, and inadvertent), how to do plagiarism (patchwriting, inappropriate paraphrasing, and summaries) and self-plagiarism (text recycling, redundant or duplicate publication, salami-slicing or data fragmentation). There are several reasons to do plagiarism, such as ease to get information via the internet, pressure on academic tasks, bad writing skill, hurry to write under pressure, lack of understanding how to rewrite the original reference, a misconception to understanding self-plagiarism, and habitual plagiarists. This article also presents steps to avoid plagiarism, such as avoiding "intellectual theft", doing good writing (citation and paraphrasing), and testing the similarity test (plagiarism detection service).

The purpose of this study was to explore how elderly citizens react to chess instruction. Underlying this inquiry was the belief that chess training could be useful in the care of older people by helping to maintain the cognitive vitality of seniors and reducing the likelihood of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Certain findings emerged from a pilot study of a chess training intervention with elderly citizens as participants. There were 12 participants in the study. All participants were at least 65 years of age. There were seven male participants and five female participants. The chess training intervention lasted approximately three months. The intervention occurred either in a community senior center or in a community library. The intervention sessions were weekly with each session being 90 minutes in length with some lasting 2 hours. The training made extensive use of chess-related websites available on the Internet such as chess.com and lichess.org. The instruction involved the projection of a chess-related website projected onto a large classroom screen with the use of an instructor’s computer connected to a projector that projected the computer-based image onto the screen. The chess training involved instruction in chess on topics such as tactics and basic checkmates. The chess activity that the students enjoyed the most was a group activity pitting the seniors as a group against an artificial opponent available on chess.com. The seniors tended to learn at a slower pace than undergraduates whom I have taught. Also, some of the seniors were quite timid, seemingly fearful of making a mistake. Overall, the seniors enjoyed the chess training and looked forward to the training activity.

The Information SuperHighway, Email, The Internet, FTP, BBS, Modems, : all buzz words which are becoming more and more routine in our daily life. Confusing terminology? Hopefully it won't be in a few minutes, all you need is to have a handle on a few basic concepts and terms and you will be on-line with the rest of the "telecommunication experts". These terms all refer to some type or aspect of tools associated with a range of computer-based communication software and hardware. They are in fact far less complex than the instruments we use on a day to day basis as microscopist's and microanalyst's. The key is for each of us to know what each is and how to make use of the wealth of information which they can make available to us for the asking. Basically all of these items relate to mechanisms and protocols by which we as scientists can easily exchange information rapidly and efficiently to colleagues in the office down the hall, or half-way around the world using computers and various communications media. The purpose of this tutorial/paper is to outline and demonstrate the basic ideas of some of the major information systems available to all of us today. For the sake of simplicity we will break this presentation down into two distinct (but as we shall see later connected) areas: telecommunications over conventional phone lines, and telecommunications by computer networks. Live tutorial/demonstrations of both procedures will be presented in the Computer Workshop/Software Exchange during the course of the meeting.
