Halal in Islam is a central concept, referring to any permissible to use e.g. thing, entity, object or action in accordance with Islamic principles & practices, because Islam has a unique consumption & dietary system different from other ethnic consumption & dietary systems so what Muslims can eat is defined in halal food regulations because there are ingredients of food and processes of preparation and both must be halal, therefore all the Muslims are required to ensure that their food comes from halal sources according to principles of Shariah both its ingredients & its whole preparation process. And now world community has recognized the importance of Muslims dietary & other consumption needs. Muslim consumers towards halal food products have more positive intention & attitude than non food products though halal concept is applicable to all products including food, pharmaceuticals, fashion, banking, insurance, entertainment and tourism. However what an overall concept encouraging, Muslims to seek & use goods & services is promoting ‘cleanliness’ in all the aspect of human life hence halal food is produced in a clean environment is of quality & safe to consume. Now the term halal has attracted attention and certified halal food and other products market is increasingly growing both internationally & domestically. Halal rules govern the tastes & preferences of Muslim consumers so where Muslim consumers exist, market for halal food also exists. Therefore Market for halal products is very fast growing market and is to the tune of trillion dollars. This paper encompasses the points i.e. what is halal? Cruel and inhumane acts that harm human life and health, as well as humiliate the dignity, are prohibited in most countries of the world, and Russia is no exception in this issue. The article presents an analysis of the institution of responsibility for torture in the Russian Federation. The author comes to the conclusion that the current criminal law of Russia superficially and fragmentally regulates liability for torture, in connection with which the author formulated the proposals to define such act as an independent crime. In the frame of modern globalization, the world community pays special attention to the protection of human rights, in connection with which large-scale international standards have been created a long time ago. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international acts enshrine prohibitions of cruel and inhumane acts that harm human life and health, as well as degrade the dignity.Considering the historical experience of the past, these standards focus on the prohibition of any kind of torture, regardless of the purpose of their implementation.

he emergence of new information technologies has changed the course of human life – both modernizing and speeding its pace. A remarkable feature of the current socio-political situation is, in our opinion, is the (de) humanization of social communication. It is a question of actual change of a communication paradigm on horizontal and vertical levels. Virtualization as the basis of modern professional and personal life acquires more perfect forms. At the same time, according to the author, it is causing the destruction of the individual as such. The XXI century entered into the history of world civilization as an era of post-truth: in 2016, the Oxford Dictionary chose the term «post-truth» as the word of the year. In the last year of the second decade of the XXI century, Covid-19 became a top news not only in the field of health care, but also in other spheres of life of the world community, including the political sphere. The Covid-19 pandemic has become an instrument of informational influence, which in the post-truth era is one of the most effective in the context of transforming the individual and the mass consciousness in a «convenient» or «necessary» direction for a particular political actor. Since the beginning of the pandemic, disinformation about the origin of the coronavirus, ways of its spread, prevention measures, etc. has been actively spread. In addition, we observe purposeful activities to form an atmosphere of fear and panic among the masses; and in each region certain cases and features of the mentality are taken into account. Among the nations of the world, the United Kingdom has linked social activism to misinformation spread and the activity of various bots and trolls on networks. In March 2020, the UK government set up a special anti-disinformation unit. Dissemination of misinformation about the coronavirus is, in our opinion, one of the important tools to influence the world community in the context of changing worldviews and visions of national, regional and global development prospects. And a clear understanding of the purpose of these actions is a key for developing adequate mechanisms for protection against information violence, which in the post-truth era turns us into hostages to information flows.

The boundary between h{ala>l and h{ara>m  in human life is explained clearly by Quran and Sunnah as a form of Allah guardianship. MUI established LPOM as an institution to issue halal certificates on food products. Food products that have been certified will be labeled by MUI logo. Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta instills religious values to students and expects them to choose food products with consideration to h{ala>l and h{ara>m  aspects. This study aims to find out how much understanding of Faculty of Economics & Business Students on halal food products and how much the influence of MUI Labelization on their decision purchase. The research used field research method and qualitative data. This study showed that 69.3% of students sample who generally have understood halal products and halal label of MUI have a major influence in determining their purchasing to select halal products. Faculty of Economiccs & Business students who have very good understanding on Halal Products in most cases reached 81.63% of total population.

Nowdays, muslim in the world are starting to realize the\at the development of science and technology has led to the problem of determination halal food and beverage products become simple. Demands clarity halal staus of a food product has become part of a global issue. It is not because of the Islmaic view of the halal statuse issue has broad implications covering various aspect of life. Thus, eating halal food products become sosial problems in the community as well as a responsibility of the state and the rights of citizens guaranteed by the Constitution of 1945 on the basis of the same idea, namely the insurance of halal products. The purpose of this stydy was to determine whether the regulations set by the goverment, al ready provide proctection to consumers to consume halal food products? In this study used normative juridical method with descriptive nature. Based on the research result and in the accordance with the issues that have been outlined, the regulations set bay goverment is still pasrtial, sectoral and overlap, so it didi not provide consumer protection on food labeled as halal.

This article discusses a study of the existence of Sufism of the contemporary Islamic preaching of M. Fethullah Gülen. The thought of Gülen’s Islamic preaching originates from his view of Sufism as the spiritual life and the journey of a human life to achieve happiness in this world and hereafter. This thinking evolves and can be accepted by the global community in the contemporary era. This thought disseminates the ideas of love, tolerance, and pluralism and receives attention from over 160 countries. Then, the praxis of the Gülen’s Islamic sufi preaching manifestes into Islamic preaching practices with a methodical system that emphasizes the hizmet movement with the philanthropist and contemporary media tactics. This praxis exists in its role of producing the golden generation progressively, contributing to an increase in the positive image of Islam and Muslims and moral development of the world community.

Religions have their own set of rules about foods. There are institutions to supervise the conformity of the food products to these particular sets of rules. Products that are ritually fit according to the religious law and therefore are proper to be consumed are called “kosher” for Jews and “halal” for Muslims. The topic of halal food has sparked a continuously increasing interest, especially in recent years, and it is one of the most popular topics on the agenda of both the scientific and business communities as well as the states. In this chapter, both the concept of “halal” and the logistics operations that also have a significant relevance with the concept have thoroughly been examined. The concept of halal covers all of the activities related with food products “from farm to fork,” but logistics activities in this sense have usually been ignored. In this study, the definition and scope of halal logistics and also the opportunities for businesses have been dealt with. The aim of the research is to determine the potential of the halal food market around the world and opportunities for the logistics sector. Since the number of the studies about halal food and halal market is limited, this chapter is expected to help academicians and practitioners. One of the objectives of this study is to compare similarities and differences between halal food and kosher food. Another objective of the study is to determine the rules of halal food in logistics operations.

The COVID-19 outbreak at the beginning of 2020 shocked the world had a significant impact on the world community. The deadly virus, first discovered in Wuhan, China, killed thousands of people in various countries. Regulations or policies that the government has set are very influential in every sector and aspect of human life. Disputes or cases are possible in every human relationship. They were even considering that legal subjects have long known legal entities, the more parties involved in them. With the increasingly complex pattern of people’s lives, the scope of the incident or dispute event covers a broader scope, which often gets the spotlight on industrial relations disputes. The purpose of this article is industrial solution disputes, especially disputes through mediation dismissed in the middle of a pandemic covid 19 North Sulawesi as mandated by Article 8 of law No. 2 of 2004. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Researchers will use the data collection techniques to study the literature, field studies, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study concluded; 1. The implementation of Law Number 2 the Year 2004 has been very effective in resolving disputes through the mediation process carried out by the Manpower and Transmigration Office of North Sulawesi Province. 2. There are still obstacles in the dispute resolution process through mediation conducted by the Manpower and Transmigration Office Transmigration of North Sulawesi Province, based on Law Number 1 of 2004. 3. There are several inhibiting factors in optimizing the settlement of industrial relations disputes in North Sulawesi. Such as companies that do not want to pay compensation on time, disputes after layoffs occur in the process of mediation. Dispute resolution time is more than the time limit by Law no. 2 of 2004. The implementation of dispute resolution is not by the procedure because the disputing parties are not

The consumption of halal (lawful) and tayyib (wholesome) food is an obligation for Muslims. Today, the food we eat consists of ingredients and additives that come from all over the world. The result is that even simple food products like bread are the result of complex international halal food supply chains. Next to the many food scares, which also expose halal food chains, fraud with halal labels is rampant in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries.


This chapter provides an overview of the complex humanitarian interventions from a Western perspective by examining the scenarios that are associated with the Afghan war, and its surrounding policy dilemmas. There are many ways for the world community to respond to a troubled region. Each of these responses has its own set of consequences and none is without problems. The costs, both in monetary terms and human life, can be quite high. Often, several different approaches are taken simultaneously by different governmental and nongovernmental organizations. The question posed is whether these action are more effective if they are integrated, and what form this integration should take.

In 2020, an event took place in the world community that entailed colossal changes in society – the coronavirus pandemic, which affected all spheres of human life (from economic to social), leading to a crisis not only financial, but also existential. The introduced self-quarantine affected all strata of society, and the created deprivation conditions had a negative impact on the psychological state of the personality, which enhances the relevance of the scientific study of this problem. In general, the work is aimed at analyzing approaches to the phenomenon of deprivation, considering its types and effects on the human body; highlighting the consequences of the self-quarantine, which affected the psychological state of people. As a methodology, a theoretical analysis of the literature on the research problem (retrospective, comparative analyzes, methods of generalization, systematization) was used. The article notes that the self-quarantine generates social deprivation of the personality, described in the psychological and related sciences, and entails many negative consequences for the state of people, to minimize which it is necessary to follow the proposed recommendations.
