Abstract: Not a few Muslim communities in Indonesia reject the concept of pluralism, even the MUI itself has issued a special fatwa on the prohibition of this understanding. They assume that pluralism is against Islam, because there is a tendency to equate Islam with other religions. Pluralism is also widely understood as a form of ideology that seeks to justify all religions. Thus, people can change religion as they wish at any time, like people change clothes. Contemporary era Indonesia also witnessed a polemic around this issue. Misunderstanding of the concept of pluralism has at some level created two poles of Islamic understanding between the pros and cons of this concept. Nahdlatul Ulama’ (NU) and Muhammadiyah were even divided internally in their communities. This article will examine through a review of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) related to the meaning and nature of pluralism. This research becomes relevant because in addition to the polemic that still exists in this concept, on the other hand the diverse social realities of Indonesian society, also requires an understanding that needs to prioritize tolerance and respect for differences.Keyword: Islamic Jurisprudence, Pluralism

<strong>English</strong><br />Currently, almost every single ‘conflict’ in the society is followed by demonstration. It seems that the demonstration is a popular trend after the New Order era and more specifically such fenomenon has been reflected in the modern democracy life of the society.  Understanding about democracy is heavily depending on the eliteness maturity of someone (politic, economy, and government)  In the present ‘transitional situation’ and the absence of the ideal socio-culture-politic level, understanding about democracy will invite pros and cons among the concerned people. To express disagreement on certain public policies through demonstration could be accepted because it is in lione with “democracy”.  However, such protest along with anarchy actions and radicalism should create undesirable situation.affecting the public.  Traditionally, protest (by the people) which is responded wisely (by the government) has been long time exist within the old society (such as Java’s kingdom in the past, 16-19 century), long before the “westernization” of Indonesian community.  Coping with demonstration is no less than good attitude responses, and far from enemy impression.  Good communication and compromise based on respectful between the two sides will open an elegant solution and parallel with the constitution objectives.

Latin American religious history gives us a better understanding of the Latin American cultural background. Western religious traditions (Catholicism, Protestantism, secularism, evangelism) came to Latin American with different colonial powers: Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. However, Latin America’s religious history also shows the agency of Latin American peoples, the ability to create and recreate practices and locations for religion in the public sphere, as we can find Native and Afro traditions like Umbanda and Santería. The agency of the people, and the influence of religious figures in the public realm, have been part of the Latin American religious experience.

Health is the basic right for everybody, therefore every citizen is entitled to get the health care. In enforcing the regulation for Jaringan Kesehatan Nasional (National Health Supports), it is heavily influenced by the foreign interests. Economically, this program does not reduce the people’s burdens, on the contrary, it will increase them. This means the health supports in which should place the government as the guarantor of the public health, but the people themselves that should pay for the health care. In the realization of the health support the are elements against the Syariah principles. Indonesian Muslim Religious Leaders (MUI) only say that the BPJS Kesehatan (Sosial Support Institution for Health) does not conform with the syariah. The society is asked to register and continue the participation in the program of Social Supports Institution for Health. The best solution is to enforce the mechanism which is in accordance with the syariah principles. The establishment of BPJS based on syariah has to be carried out in cooperation from the elements of Social Supports Institution (BPJS), Indonesian Muslim Religious (MUI), Financial Institution Authorities, National Social Supports Council, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Finance. The Malay people made Arabic as the medium of instruction in the form of writing by the Malay community. The use of this script is known as Malay Arabic script by adding some Arabic letters by adjusting the sound with Malay language. The first stage of this writing as a communication in trade between the people of Indonesia with Arab traders, then the writers use it as script writing in Malay language. This writing continues to use it as the medium of instruction in Islamic education and teaching to the public. Then the scientists and scholars use it as well as writing characters in writing religious books such as fiqh, tafseer, hadith and tarekat and other writings. After that Malay Arabic script has become a national script of Malay society, including in Indonesia.
