The type of research used is this research is descriptive qualitative, using accidental sampling as sampling technique. Data collection methods used are interview and documentation methods, with research instruments in the form of interview guidelines. The results showed that the community strongly agreed with the existence of The People’s Housing Program (PPR), especially for the lower middle class and poor people in Malaysia. This program is able to realize the dream of the poor to be able to have a place to live that is suitable for living with family. Furthermore, the program itself is acknowledged by the community as being able to deal with slum settlements in Malaysia, and the poor who are biased in occupying slum areas voluntarily move to the houses provided by this PPR. So, people's perception of the Public Housing Program is very supportive especially to deal with slums in Malaysia.

Significance Pachter, now in Israel, said that he feared for his life after his travel plans were reported on the government's Twitter account and his phone was allegedly tapped. His departure came a day after the Prosecutors' Association announced the unprecedented step of seeking to become a plaintiff in the investigation of Nisman's death, reflecting the complexities of a case in which "the public perception is that this is a murder". Impacts Due to lack of transparency, rumours may quickly gain traction and be perceived as fact. Opposition calls for the heads of the security and intelligence services to be removed will be disregarded. The fallout will probably deny the government any residual hope of retaining the presidency.

Subject The abdication of Japan's emperor. Significance The Cabinet on December 8 approved proposals for the abdication of the current emperor, Akihito, on April 30, 2019. His son Naruhito will be enthroned the next day. Since this is the first abdication for 200 years, the government will be making up the ceremonies as it goes along, though with references to historical precedents. Impacts The transition and new emperor will have no impact on government policy. The extra-long national holiday and a 'resetting' of the official calendar will have some economic impact. The start of a literal new era, combined with the Olympics the following year, will buoy the public mood. The new emperor carries with him no personal wartime baggage and may be more acceptable to Japan’s neighbours.
