Scientific Approach

Along with the advancement and the changing of times, the quality of learning process becomes a demand that must be achieved.The learning process implemented should be student centred so as to improve the quality of education. In order to achieve meaningful learning process, the scientific approach is appliedso that the learners can find their own concepts in learning by the guidance of theirteacher. The teacher only holds a role as a facilitator in learning. Along with the spiritof the governmentin applying the scientific approach in the 2013 curriculum, it is still questionable whetherthe scientific approach implementation will have an impact on improving learning outcomes or not. The documents of previous studies are used in this study. The data collection is obtained through google scholar by browsing the electronic journals. From the search results obtained, 10 research journals areanalysed further in the form of percentage (%). Based on the results of the analysis, the scientific approach is able to improve learning outcomes, ranging from the lowest 2% to the highest 34,51% with an average of 23,35%.

This study aims as a way to determine the effect of the recitation method on learning outcomes of events in life that focuses on sub-theme 2 national events about the proclamation of independence day at SDN Gongseng 1 Jombang. As we know that the average learning process in schools is still centered on the teacher himself. By using the right application, it is certain that it will have a good impact on the quality of education. The lack of student interest in the methods taught by the teacher had a significant impact. In the process of working on questions, for example, students are less able to understand what is conveyed by the teacher who is able to provide a learning process whose substance is carried out by selecting the appropriate method. This research is pre-experimental research design, in the form of one-group pretest-posttest. The sample of this study consisted of 9 boys and 10 girls totaling 19 students who were in the experimental class. In the academic year 2021, it can be seen that the results of the pretest and posttest data of students by using the recitation method have sig. 0.000 < 0.05. From these results, it can be concluded that the effect of recitation has an influence on classroom learning by using conventional methods.

The quality of education in Indonesia was in the worst position in Asian from 12 countries surveyed in 2010 by PERC, so more efforts by teachers are needed to improve the quality of education. One of the efforts is through the application of good and appropriate learning models to the characteristics of subjects. This study aimed to determine the achievement of learning outcomes of heat transfer subject of students of class VII6 SMP Negeri 2 Ambon through application of a contextual approach in Jigsaw type cooperative learning model. This research was a quantitative descriptive, with 40 students. This study found that the average score of initial achievement was 29.22 (failed qualification). While during the learning process with Jigsaw cooperative learning model, the average cognitive achievement was 83.34 (good qualification), affective was 82.66 (good qualification), and psychomotor was 88.75 (good qualification). While there were formative test results obtained the average achievement score was 74.77 (sufficient qualification), and the average of the final score was 81.71 (good qualification). It can be concluded that the learning process by applying a contextual approach in Jigsaw type cooperative learning model was proven to help students in achieving the learning outcomes of heat transfer subject.

Abstrak : Theoretically the results of the discussion of this research is expected to provide scientific contributions to the development of science, to provide some suggestions to the school and other schools in terms of teacher performance in improving the quality of education, to be the evaluation for Yayasan Pondok Al Kenaniyah to provide better service in the quality of their education. This study is also expected to be the contribution for the researcher in the field of education. This study uses a qualitative method of data collection. The data is achieved by conducting interviews, observation and checklist. The data is obtained to analyze the performance of teachers in improving the quality of education with the subject of 60 people in Yayasan Al Kenaniyah, East Jakarta to investigate. Based on the data obtained can be summarized as follows: regarding to the performance of teachers in the learning plan, the performance of teachers in the implementation of learning, the performance of teachers in the assessment of learning outcomes, also discipline of the teachers in performing their duties to get good performance. Thus, the quality of education will be better in the future.

Academic supervision is an activity planned to help teachers in the learning process in order to improve students’ learning outcomes. This study aimed at investigating the supervision of school’s supervisor in improving the professionalism of teachers and improve the quality of education at SD Negeri Antara. The type of this research is qualitative and the data were obtained by observation, documentation and interview. The results of this study (1) supervision conducted by applying the official approach, partners, and kinship, and the techniques developed by supervisors in implementing academic supervision vary considerably; (2)supervisory obstacles in carrying out academic supervision is the number of teachers were too many, however it only had limited time; (3) the implementation of general academic supervision is good enough and able to carry out its duties and functions properly; (4) aspects that have been targeted by the supervision of school’s supervisors are still limited, not all aspects of academic supervision; (5) the frequency of visits by school’s supervisors in conducting academic supervision is considered lack because it is not evenly distributed; teachers receive class visits by supervisors; and (6) efforts made by supervisors in carrying out academic supervision at SD Negeri Antara have not been optimal in providing guidance to teachers. Kualitas pendidikan sangat bergantung pada kualitas pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan guru di kelas. Optimalisasi proses pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan penggunaan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu sangat penting melatihkan penggunaan google classroom kepada para guru. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penggunaan google classroom untuk mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran di SMK ISFI Banjarmasin, dan menghasilkan modul google classroom. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para guru SMK ISFI Banjarmasin. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini, antara lain memberikan pelatihan pengetahuan mendasar mengenai penggunaan google classroom, memberikan gambaran pengalaman bagaimana penggunaan google classroom secara sistematis dalam pembelajaran, serta menghasilkan modul google classroom. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan modul google classroom yang digunakan oleh para guru dalam pelatihan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berkontribusi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru dalam penggunaan google classroom sebagai media pembelajaran. Penggunaan google classroom diharapkan dapat membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan, sehingga berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, serta meningkatkan kualitas kinerja guru. The quality of education is very dependent on the quality of learning carried out by teachers in the classroom. The optimization of the learning process can be done by integrating the use of technology as a learning medium. Therefore it is very important to train the use of google classroom to teachers. Community service aims to provide training in using google classroom to optimize the learning process at SMK ISFI Banjarmasin and produce a google classroom module. The target of this activity is Banjarmasin ISFI Vocational School, teachers. The methods used in this activity include providing training in basic knowledge about using google classroom, providing an overview of experiences on how to use google classroom systematically in learning, and producing a google classroom module. This activity produces a google classroom module that is used by teachers in training. In addition, this activity contributes to increasing teacher knowledge and ability in using Google classroom as a learning medium. The use of google classroom is expected to make the learning process enjoyable so that it has a positive impact on student learning outcomes while improving the quality of teacher performance.

Changes in the context of education are always made in order to improve the quality of education output. One learning model that can be applied is thematic learning with a scientific approach. A scientific approach is a learning process that uses a scientific thought process. Where learning is very important for students to find and build their own knowledge that is fun and meaningful. The purpose of this research is to get a picture of the implementation of a scientific approach in thematic learning in class VI SDN 033 Asmi Bandung. This research is a descriptive research. The research subjects in this study were model teachers (lecturers who teach in schools) and class VI A students at SDN 033 Asmi. Data collection tools in this study are interview guidelines, observation sheets and study documentation. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the model teacher had implemented learning using a scientific approach which was carried out through the steps of the activity: 1) observing, 2) asking questions, 3) trying, 4) associating, and 5) communicating. Each step has been implemented well but not always done sequentially on every learning that is done. Thematic learning with a scientific approach has made the learning process more active and enjoyable. So that students really become the center of activity in the learning process that takes place.

<span><span> </span></span><p class="06IsiAbstrak">The Kurikulum 2013 –Indonesia's novel Curriculum invented in 2013– is implemented through activity-based learning using a scientific approach. Curriculum changes do not only occur in the dimensions of the plan/document, but in its implementation in the quality of the process which has an impact on learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Kurikulum 2013 scientific approach and its impact on the quality of the learning processes and outcomes at MAN in Lampung Province. The research uses a mixed methods with sequential mixed methods design. The respondents consisted of 26 teachers and 126 students. Data were collected by conducting interview, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. The validity was tested by Pearson’s validity and Cronbach Alpha reliability. The results showed that teachers can apply a scientific approach to the implementation of the Kurikulum 2013 well. It can be seen from the teacher’s ability to prepare lesson plans, though there are some teachers (working period of 21 to 30 years) who are constrained during the learning process, such as observing the learning and not being able in presenting the media. The scientific approach has a very good impact on the quality of the learning process and outcomes. It can be seen by the increase in student learning outcomes.</p>

Learning innovation is a necessity that must be done in order to increase the quality of education. Learning innovation is needed in many aspects and factors of education, such as good facilities, curriculum, learning process, evaluation of education and improvement of teachers and the leraning participant quality. This article presents the idea of educational innovation in the development of teaching materials. There are three ways that can be used in developing teaching materials, namely: (1) writing itself (starting from scratch), (2) repackaging information, (3) structuring information (compilation). Teaching materials must meet the criteria: the accuracy of the content, the precision of coverage, the legibility of teaching materials, the use of language, packaging, illustrations, and completeness of the component. To produce teaching materials, need to be done through the stages of research and development, including: discover the potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, revision, product testing, product revision, utility testing, product revision, and mass production
