Literary work tries to describe human life, not only in relation to other humans, but also in relation to itself through the relationship of inner events. One form of literary work is novel. The birth of the novel is the creative result of the author in processing a story about life complete with various conflicts in it. Because this research is intended as a study of literary psychology to achieve the psychological aspects of the main character in the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis, what will be put forward is the structure of the story which is closely related to the psychological exposure of the main character. The story structure is the characters and characterizations. As well as the story setting. Qualitative method. Namely, research procedures that produce qualitative descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. How as much data as possible will be able to become the subject of research depends on the use of research techniques. While the approach is a literary assessment perspective. The approach is the scope of literary research. The form, content, and nature of literature as the subject of study. Until now, it seems that in literary research there is often confusion between the use of the terms method, technique and approach. As a result, there are overlapping areas of literary research. The method should involve the operational means of research. The method requires research steps that are worth following. The research results found by the researcher were in the form of the character of the main character and psychological conflicts in Khilma Anis' novel Hati Suhita. Suhita's character is good, tawadhu, smart. Al Birruni is firm, easy to change. Rengganis beautiful, smart. Aruna is good, cheerful. Kang Dharma is calm, mature. And the psychological conflict of Suhita's character is sad. Al Birruni didn't have the heart, Rengganis knew himself, Aruna was sad, and Kang Dharma was calm. In connection with conducting the research, the writer suggests that: first, literary reviewers are advised to examine more deeply the implicit and explicit values in Khilma Anis' novel Hati Suhita, because then we as readers can understand the author's message and his work in totality.

Salah satu fenomena yang terjadi dalam kehidupan manusia adalah masalah kejiwaan sehingga berpengaruh terhadap perilakunya kepada orang lain. Hal itulah yang dialami tokoh Risa dalam novel karya Risa Saraswati yang berjudul Danur. Peristiwa-peristiwa yang dialami membuat tokoh Risa berperilaku sesuai dengan apa yang telah disaksikannya. Perilaku tokoh Risa dihadapkan pada konflik psikologis yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik tokoh utama sebagai seorang indigo, (2) mendeskripsikan tokoh indigo dalam merespon stimulus tokoh lain, (3) mendeskripsikan perkembangan kepribadian tokoh indigo dalam Danur  karya Risa Saraswati. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah psikologi sastra, yang dikhususkan pada psikologi behavior, yaitu teori yang membahas aspek perilaku dan perkembangan kepribadian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa, (1) terdapat karakteristik indigo pada tokoh Risa, meliputi: berkemauan keras, keras kepala, kreatif dengan bakat artistik pada musik, bertindak berdasarkan intuisi atau psikis, cenderung mengalami insomnia dan mimpi buruk, memiliki riwayat depresi dan pikiran- pikiran atau upaya bunuh diri, mencari persahabatan yang sejati, mendalam, dan bertahan lama. (2) perilaku tokoh Risa merupakan respon yang terbentuk dari stimulus yang dapat diterima oleh alat indra mata, telinga, dan mulut (3) perkembangan kepribadian Risa berkaitan dengan kelima sahabatnya. Hal tersebut terbukti pada peristiwa tokoh Risa sebelum mengenal kelima sahabatnya, mengenal, ditinggalkan dan bertemu kembali dengan kelima sahabatnya.    One of the phenomena that occur in human life is a matter of psychological abuse so that the effect on their behaviour to others. That is experienced by a character in the novel by Risa Risa Saraswati entitled Danur. The events that make the character Risa behave in accordance with what she had. The behavior of the character Risa is exposed to psychological conflict that is affected by the environment. This research aims to (1) describe the characteristics of the main character as an indigo, (2) describe the indigo's character of stimulus respond to another, (3) describe the development of the personality of the characters in the works of Risa Saraswati. The approach was conducted in this research is the psychology literature, which specialized in psychology behavior, that is the theory that discusses aspects of behavior and the development of personality. Based on the results of the research, noted that, (1) there are characteristics of indigo on the character Risa, include: strong-willed, stubborn, creative with artistic talent in music, Act on intuition or psychic, are likely to experience insomnia and nightmares, have a history of depression and thoughts of suicide attempts, or looking for a true friendship, profound, and enduring. (2) the behaviour of the character Risa is a response that is formed from a Stimulus that can be accepted by the appliance senses eyes, ears and mouth (3) development of personality related to Risa's fifth bestfriends. this has proven by the condition when the character  doesn't know yet her bestfriends, knows, left behind, and finally meet her fifth bestfriends again.

This study aims to describe main characters and psychological conflict experienced by the characters in “Korupsi” novel. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. Two issues are: (1) how the character of the character in “Korupsi” novel and (2) what psychological conflict  experienced by the main character will be studied by combining a structural approach and psychological literature. The structural approach is used to understand the characterization aspect as one of the novel structures that discusses character and main figure’s character. The psychological literature is employed to understand psychological conflict and psychological problems experienced by the main characters.  he results show that the main characters are easily tempted, inconsistent, impatient for having all his needs fulfilled. These characters makes him trapped in corruption case. The bribery money makes him in corruption trap in his office causes inevitable psychological conflicts. The main character decision to get involved in corruption case is inseparable from influence and pressure from family and his friends in his office. The action to neglect principle, integrity, and honesty that have been retained for many years causes him trapped in psychological conflicts. Psychological conflicts experienced by the main characters lead to psychological problem in the main characters, such as guilt, shame, negative hallucinations, nightmares, and desire to suicide.

This research aims at describing moral values which are related with the relationship of human with other human which consists of caring, help each other, deliberation, living in harmony, forgiving, keeping a promise, and respecting others. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach which describes particular event with words or the situational context of the subject in one particular situation. The results of this study show that moral values that include the existence of caring, help each other, deliberation, living in harmony, forgiving, keeping a promise, respecting others, found in the novel Komet Minor by Tere Liye. The quotations relating to the seven forms of moral value are more than 57 quotations. The form of dominant moral value is 18 quotations which found in the value of caring for others while the form of the least moral value is promise with 1 quotation. It is hoped that the value found can be a material of knowledge and learning for literary reader.   The characters in the novel Komet Minor are Batozar, Seli, Ali, the crown, Bibi Nay, Putri, Raib, Uncle Kay. In the novel of Komet Minor the most dominant character is Batozar.

AbstractFor this study we investigated all occurrences of Dutch second person pronoun subjects in a literary novel, and determined their interpretation. We found two patterns that can both be argued to be functionally related to the de-velopment of the story. First, we found a decrease in the generic use of second person, a decrease which we believe goes hand in hand with an increased distancing of oneself as a reader from the narrator/main character. Second, we found an increase in the use of the descriptive second person. The increased descriptive use of second person pronouns towards the end of the novel is very useful for the reader, because the information provided by the first person narrator himself becomes less and less reliable. Thus, the reader depends more strongly on information provided by other characters and what these characters tell the narrator about himself.

RÉSUMÉ. Cette étude vise donc à prouver surtout la relation entre le ballet, l'anorexie, et l'image de soi chez le personnage principal du roman Robert des Noms Propres, écrit en 2013 par Amélie Nothomb, une auteure francophone de Belgique. Cette recherche utilise la méthode d'analyse descriptive, pour obtenir une vue holistique des problèmes dans l'œuvre littéraire, qui ont été étudié en utilisant l'approche psychologique. Cette écriture est préparée en utilisant un large éventail de documents liés au thème du ballet, l'anorexie, et l'image de soi chez les filles. Le résultat de la recherche montre qu'il existe une relation causale entre ces trois elements cités. Le trouble de l'alimentation s’est montré depuis l’enfance du personnage principal qui devient anorexique en raison d'un traumatisme, les influences de l'environnement, ainsi que les exigences de sa profession en tant que danseuse de ballet. Cette recherche apporte également l’information que l’image de soi chez l’adolescente s’est formé dans les aspects cognitifs, affectifs, et psychomotoriques. Mots-clés : ballet, anorexie, image de soi, adolescente ABSTRACT. This study aims to prove above all the relationship between ballet, anorexia, and self-image in the main character of the novel Robert des Noms Propres, written in 2013 by Amélie Nothomb, a French-speaking author from Belgium. This research uses the method of descriptive analysis, to obtain a holistic view of the problems in the literary work, which were studied using the psychological approach. This writing is prepared using a wide range of documents related to the theme of ballet, anorexia, and self-image in girls. The result of the research shows that there is a causal relationship between these three elements. The eating disorder has been shown since the childhood of the main character who becomes anorexic due to trauma, environmental influences, as well as the demands of her profession as a ballet dancer. For the purpose of defining Iris Murdoch’s artistic method a complex investigation of the problems and style of her famous novel “The Black Prince” was made. Special attention was given to the philosophical problems of Good and Evil, Contingency and Necessity in human life, absurdity, choice, aloofness, to the philosophical aspect of the novel, which is revealed with the help of the flash-back technique. The problems raised in the novel, its sensitive main character absorbed in psychoanalysis and looking for the sense of existence, naturalistic details & the postscripts, revealing different subjective points of view on the same events, prove that the novel should be regarded as existentialist

The purpose of this research was to know the social relationship through Sorokin's theory. This research was done through a film titled Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them which was released in 2016 ago. The data was taken from the utterance of character dialogue through documentation, the process of watching, and post watches the film. The method of research used a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicated that: (1.) Knowing the types of social relationships: Social interaction phenomena, non-social interaction phenomena in the film based on Sorokin’s theory, (2.) Getting 7 data about a social relationship were: three data about social interaction phenomena conceptual social interaction phenomena by a human in friendship, social interaction phenomenon by a human in ethnic, social interaction phenomenon in helping the economy, (3.) Literature is one of the written works that express aspect of human life. This study is using a novel entitled The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. It is analyzing the main character in terms of physiological, psychological, and sociological dimension aspects. Dramatic and character on the other character method were used in analyzing the study based on character dialogue, action, opinion, and feeling. These were explained descriptively in order to have a clear understanding of the aspects implied in the story. The result of findings were three dimension aspects, as of; physiological, that influenced the main character are the age and physical appearance. The psychological, about the situation that she was ran away from her father when she still human. The sociological background and human relationship are influenced in sociological aspect. It can be concluded that the whole three dimension aspects of the main character showed in physiological, Bree was fifteen years old girl almost sixteen years old when she became a vampire,but she did not remember how old she was when she was a human. Her body will sparkling like a crystal when exposed to sunlight and also have a bright and red eyes. In psychological, she is an introvert vampire with few friends and does not really like to make trouble andspare time with other vampire. In sociological, before became a vampire, Bree was a girl who lived with her father. But, after her mother died, her relationship with her father not good, because her father was rude person.

f on a winter's night a traveler is considered one of the greatest novels by Italian writer Italo Calvino. Published in 1979, this literary work, which belongs to the postmodernist narrative style in the form of a frame story, tells about a reader trying to read a book with the same title from beginning to end. Much of the story’s content was written in the second-person’s narration, implying that “you” (the Reader) are the protagonist of the novel. Embedded inside are ten short stories (the loose ends of different novels) read by the main character, which causes the book to constantly switch between settings, narrators, and styles. If on a Winter’s Night a Traveler is truly a perfect illustration for the literary style characterized by metafiction and postmodernism. The novel is a conscious textual play with various techniques employed such as authorial role limitation, reader involvement in the plot line, open structure, non-linearity, fragmentation, multiplicity, and intertextuality. By effectively using these devices, Calvino deconstructs the traditional novel form and creates a new structure which shows a parallel between the processes of writing and reading a text. Calvino acts as the supreme game-master taking control of both the characters and the real players, who have been pushed into this game-like novel. This article focuses on analyzing the charactericstics of metafiction, the Droste effect and deconstruction in Calvino’s novel If on a winter's night a traveler, thereby helping to grasp his playful language and his narrative techniques as well as to discover his metafictional discourse.
