Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, one of the leading sectors is tourism. Tourism, which is one of the tertiary sectors, is the largest foreign exchange earner in Jakarta. Two Jakarta tourism icons are Ragunan and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). Promotion is needed to maintain the stability of the number of visits in both tourist destinations, especially through the internet. Globalization brings people's behavior to information search patterns through the internet. Here is the problem you want answered; how effective are these two tourist sites on the perceptive perspective of the community. The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) and Ragunan tourism Web. This is a quantitative research, using a sample of 165 people taken randomly from leading tourist attractions in DKI Jakarta, namely TMII and Ragunan. Dimensions used in research are empathy, persuasion, impact, and communication.

This paper presents highlights of research conducted into the Internet supported household activities of residents at the Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC). The routines of residents in five distinct basic needs activity areas were examined in an effort to identify the role of the Internet in supporting these undertakings. The results indicate that the Internet can be characterized as an essential technical resource that supports the stability of TCHC households by helping to multiply and interconnect the activities that constitute household routines. By providing an explanatory model of the Internet’s role in supporting the stability of TCHC households, this research advances an argument for public intercession in the provisioning of household Internet services to help redress the digital divide in Canada’s most populous city.

<p>This thesis discusses the relationship between transport and tourism with a particular focus on how to improve the destination function of gateways. The case study chosen for this research is the Cook Strait ferries and the ferry ports of Wellington and Picton, in New Zealand. With the absence of academic literature dealing with the impacts of tourism in gateways and the fact that the concept of gateway has not been operationalised yet, the thesis proposes, via empirical analysis, a classification of ferry passengers according to four different functions: gateway tourists; overnight gateway visitors; stopover visitors and destination tourists. These nodal classifications basically comprise two variables: the absolute and relative length of stay in the nodes and the main reason for going there. The analytical framework also takes into consideration the passengers' place of origin: those living within the gateways' catchment areas (the Centre Stage of New Zealand Region - CSNZ); those living in New Zealand but outside the catchment areas; and passengers living overseas. Apart from secondary sources, on-board surveys with ferry passengers and semi-structured interviews with operators in Wellington and Picton are used to collect primary data. What the results show is that some segments of passengers are interested in extending their stay in Wellington and Picton if they had been offered more information about these two nodes or a special deal including the ferry crossing and accommodation in one of the gateways. International passengers are the group of passengers most likely to take advantage of these opportunities as those living in New Zealand are more interested to reach their final destinations and perhaps more familiarised with both nodes, so the incentives would not be very appealing to them. However, local operators were not able to suggest offers/arrangements to engage passing travellers to stop and visit these gateways. This can be attributed to lack of funds and relationship issues between tourism operators, particularly in Picton, and one of the ferry operators. In comparison to Picton that has a smaller destination function, results from this research suggested that gateways with a more developed destination function, such as the case of Wellington, are better prepared to convince traffic passing by to stop and visit them as tourist destination. The existence of more tourist attractions and activities is certainly an incentive to persuade travellers to stay longer in gateways. From the operationalisation of the concepts proposed in this thesis and the results obtained from the questionnaires and interviews, this research concludes that not only nodal functions vary from place to place (e.g. Picton as a small resort town and Wellington as a capital city), but also that these functions evolve throughout time, with seasonal variations also occurring (high vs. low seasons). With regards to the direction passengers are travelling and the influence on travellers' functions, variations are identified only among overnight gateway visitors, with the common pattern being passengers staying overnight before catching up the ferry the following day.</p>

The increasing role of the Internet enables the spread of knowledge-based consumption; consumers are turning to their social environment to exchange information and experiences with products either through personal contacts or by contacting others on the Internet. Several former studies analyzed the influencing role of experience-based communication on a variety of products but in the case of heating appliances the scientific literature is lacking. The goal of the study is to reveal the influence of experience in the various stages of the purchase process and to identify the credible information sources that consumers consult while making a decision. A two-step exploratory research was conducted in 2013 with homeowners in Hungary on the residential heat market. Consumers were found be active decision-makers and deliberately planned the purchase of heating products. The influencing role of experience prevails not only in the consumers’ personal experience but also in the experience of other users they interact with and in the experience of professionals they consult. Personal experience starts at the early age as respondents’ recall childhood memories with heating, which influences the consumers’ expectations in the early stage of the purchase process. The experience of other users prevails along the whole purchase process through credible sources and the experience of professionals influences mainly the information search and validation phase of the purchase process. Consumers consult other users (strong and weak social sources) personally or via online sources by the final decision rather than turning to the installer.

Abstract Current changes in technology and the role of the Internet open up new opportunities for companies both to communicate and to work. The fact that Social Media entered the business landscape, and in particular the recruitment landscape leads to a demand for knowledge about recruitment trends regarding social media. Contemporary social media and recruitment texts have been reviewed in order to identify what impact social media is having on the recruitment industry. It focuses on how companies and recruitment professionals are taking advantage of the social media landscape to recruit talented people. Relevant existing research has been reviewed and primary research conducted (both qualitative and quantitative). The authors have conducted 8 IDIs with recruiter from various industries. The latter consisted of 147 CAWIs with employees from various Polish organizations from several different industries. The article presents interesting results that can be especially useful for recruitment managers, specialists and company owners. It is recommended that in order to gain a fuller picture of the issues underlying the findings, quantitative research on a bigger scale should be undertaken.

This research aims to analyze the strategy of preserving local culture to develop cultural tourism. This study is a form of strategic assessment effort to find solutions in the development of tourist destinations, especially cultural tourism. This study used the literature review method by collecting several references from previous research related to tourism development and preservation strategies. From the results of the analysis, it was found that one form of strategy that needs to be done is a marketing strategy to increase the number of tourist visits by creating a branding of cultural tourist attractions as a quality tourist attraction, maintaining the culture or customs and characteristics of local communities, conducting promotions via the internet or through the internet. brochures to introduce cultural tourist attractions to be better known by tourists, as well as build an image of tourist attractions to fix problems that result in a decreased number of visits

Backgorund - East Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia with a very diverse potential for tourist attraction. The tourist attraction is divided into 3 (three) categories, namely nature, culture and special interests. The growth of tourists in East Java has increased over the last few years, placing East Java as one of the provinces with the largest domestic tourist arrivals in Indonesia. One way to sustain growth is by mapping. Aim - This study aims to map domestic tourists (demographic and geographical aspects) in East Java to tourist destinations. The results of the mapping are expected to provide information in determining the target market and can be used as a reference in developing tourism according to tourist needs. Design / methodology / approach - The research subjects are domestic tourists visiting several tourist destinations in East Java. This research is a type of quantitative research. Data collection tool in the form of questionnaires with survey techniques through interviews with respondents. The data collected was then tested for association using crosstabs with the Creamers v method and analyzed using the correspondence analysis technique. Finding - The results showed there were differences in the determination of the category of tourist attractions visited by tourists based on demographic and geographical aspects where the presentation of East Java Province research results was divided into 5 (five) regions. Research implication - The results of this study can be used as a reference for stakeholders in designing development and development policies and tourism marketing programs.

The article is devoted to an urgent pedagogical problem – the influence of the Internet on the socialization of student youth in modern conditions, which determined the purpose and objectives of the article: to characterize the role of the Internet in the formation of values and attitudes of student youth, the development of Internet-dependent behavior. To achieve the goal, the following research methods were used: literature analysis on the problem under study, express survey and testing, comparative analysis of the results. This problem is considered taking into account the increasing importance of electronic resources in the context of digitalization of modern society. The characteristics of the main concepts of the problem under study are given: socialization, student youth, the Internet, etc. The approaches to defining the place of the Internet as the main means of communication and information for young people are reflected. The authors present the results of a comprehensive monitoring study conducted in recent years among the students of the Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University. On the basis of the primary data of the study the actual characteristics of the problem under study are highlighted: the goals and reasons for visiting the Internet (communication in social networks, information search, entertainment, studies), the respondents’ evaluation of the impact of the Internet as more positive than negative. The study of the value orientations of modern student youth showed that the respondents choose the main traditional values: family, health, love, self-development. Thus, the peculiarities of the influence of the Internet on the socialization of student youth are presented as follows: the main purpose of visiting the Internet is to communicate in social networks; young people are quite aware of the role of Internet influence; the main life values of the young generation retain a traditional character; a significant proportion of respondents have formed and stable Internet addictive behavior. The analysis of the results obtained shows that the use of the Internet as the main means of communication and information does not, in general, have a negative impact on the formation of values and attitudes of student youth, but contributes to the development of Internet-dependent behavior. Travel Destinations are an inseparable part of human life today. As one of the provinces with a large area, East Java is one of the most visited areas for its tourism. Many people are competing in finding information related to these tourist destinations on the internet, one of which is the Tripadvisor application. Of the many tourist attractions, several tourist attractions have different attractions and experiences each time. Tourists have widely used the Tripadvisor application in determining the location where they will visit on their vacation activities. With various features ranging from reviews and recommendations for sharing photos, TripAdvisor is one of the best applications in the inventory of tourist attractions. Of the many tourist destinations, it is necessary to analyze and evaluate both tourist attractions that have many visitors with tourist attractions that are rarely visited by both local and foreign visitors. This goal, information mining (web mining), was carried out on the TripAdvisor application to obtain information on East Java Province's popular destinations. Crawling results on the TripAdvisor website, obtained various kinds of information such as names of tourist attractions, locations, visitor reviews, photos, and ratings of these tourist attractions. Spatial Analysis, a Tourist Sentiment Analyst on tourist objects, can then be carried out. It can also be developed into the recommendation system for the best tourist attractions in East Java Province
