The word infidel is mentioned 525 times in the Qur'an. The use of this word infidel has various meanings as in the QS. Ali 'Imran:151, the word infidels are those who associate partners with Allah while in QS. Luqman:12, the Qur'an calls the disbelievers those who disbelieve in the favors of Allah. The difference in the term infidel is not only limited to the verses of the Qur'an, but also applies among commentators, scholars, intellectuals, to ordinary people, including in the understanding of Indonesian society. This research is entitled "The Meaning of Kafir in the Qur'an (Comparative Study of the Interpretation of Ibn Kasir and M. Qurais Shihab)". In order to significantly answer the questions that arise; what is the meaning of infidel in the Qur'an according to Ibn Kasir in the book of Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Azhim and M. Quraish Shihab in the book of Tafsir al-Misbah, similarities and differences in interpretation, and the relevance of their interpretation in the Indonesian context. This research is a library research that uses descriptive comparative analysis research method with a historical approach. The results of this study are: the socio-historical context, sources of interpretation, methods, and styles have a significant influence in producing differences in the interpretation of the Qur'an, especially regarding the meaning of kafir. Between Ibn Kasir and M. Quraish Shihab agreed to interpret the word infidel in the form of isim jama 'muzakkar salim (الكَافِرُوْنَ) in five (5) verses, namely QS. al-Mai'dah: 44, QS. al-A'raf: 45, QS. al-Taubah: 32, QS. al-Ankabut: 47, and QS. al-Rum: 8 with the meaning of denying and covering, but differing in explaining the interpretation of the five verses, although the difference is not that far away. ABSTRACTMoney is part of the community's need to conduct various transactions. Indonesia as a developing country makes the dollar as the standard of money value because the position of the dollar is considered strong by almost all countries in the world. But in fact the existence of a dollar that is not guaranteed by anything often changes (fluctuates) and will directly affect the financial systems of countries that refer to the dollar, including Indonesia. Ibn Khaldun was a Muslim scientist who lived during the decline of Islam. He was actively involved in the world of government and was one of the figures who had brilliant ideas about the concept of money (751-808 H / 1350-1406 AD). This study aims to examine Ibn Khaldhun's concept of money and monetary policy in the economy and the relevance of his thinking to monetary policy in Indonesia. This research uses library research design (Library Research) with a historical and descriptive approach. The data collection technique chosen is the documentation technique, namely the data collection technique by examining relevant literature with the chosen title. In the analysis phase content analysis techniques are used and combined with historical continuity methods to answer the problem formulation that is proposed. The data analysis stage is through the stages of linguistic analysis and concept analysis. The results showed that: 1) the emergence of the concept of Ibn Khaldun's money and monetary system in the economy was motivated by the economic and political conditions experienced during Ibn Khaldun's life. History says that Muqadimah Ibn Khaldun was written based on the results of his thoughts combined with life experiences he experienced; 2) The concept of Ibn Khaldun is relevant if it is applied in the monetary system in Indonesia. This is based on the real conditions faced by Indonesia, which currently uses empty money. Even though its existence is now proven to have caused crises many times. So it is not impossible if gold and silver coins are used as the standard of money value.Key word: Concept of Money, Monetary Policy

Abstract Throughout human history bereavement has always imposed its undeniable and inevitable impact on the life of those affected by it. Despite all discrepancies what can be considered the common ground in bereavement among all nations regardless of cultural, ideological, religious and ethical values is the fact that bereavement infuses an indispensable change into the lives of those encountering it. The comparative study of Burial and The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World by Iranian and Colombian authors, respectively, points out the unconventional reversed handling of bereavement which results in obtaining insight into the human capacity to mature. Both authors make their characters inseminate their barren lives with grief to produce a change which is drastic and flourishing in Gabriel Garcia Marquez and soothing and stabilizing in Bijan Najdi. Through the course of the stories the childless couple in Najdi and the villagers in Garcia Marquez are gradually exposed to the truth of their lives ironically by the corpses coming up their ways quite unexpectedly and learn to develop new identities, attaching themselves to and possessing the bodies. This comparative study sheds light on how the revelation they experience inculcates a joyful, fluid mobility in the villagers and stability in the couple’s life. The study of these texts reveals the absolute notion that the actual change originates from the world within and what lies in the world without is dead.
