The implementation of remote basic physics experiments during a pandemic has its own challenges. This experiment had problems in terms of planning, implementation, and reporting. The purpose of this study are to describe the implementation of synchronous distance learning of fundamental physics experiments using simple tools and to find out students' perceptions regarding the obstacles in the synchronous distance learning implementation of experiments. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed using Google Form. The respondents in this study were 69 students who took the fundamental physics experiment course in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Analysis of research data was carried out using descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicated that the application of Google Meetassisted experiments using simple tools and materials that were easily obtained by students could reduce the problem of completing tools and materials by students and the use of Google Meet allowed the mentoring process during the experiment by the lecturer. The most common obstacles encountered by students were obstacles in the implementation phase where sometimes the internet network did not support it while students needed to listen to the direction of the supporting lecturer, especially if the instructions in the manual were not well understood.

This qualitative study with a case study research scheme is aimed to find out the factors influencing accounting students’ understanding of the English terminology in accounting reports (balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement). The sample is the first semester students of the Accounting Department of Faculty Economics and Business, Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya academic year 2020-2021. The understanding of English terminology in accounting reports can help the students in preparing themselves for Free Trade in a disruptive era. The analysis of this study is using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study are the description of the factors influencing accounting students’ understanding of the English terminology in accounting reports as for the first semester students this specific terminology may cause confusion which leads to misunderstanding.

As good citizens, when we gather among fellow language users who have different regional languages, we must always use Indonesian as a language of unity. This study aims to describe how the language behavior between the employees of the Buton tribe and the Buru tribe at the Buru Jazirah Namlea Multipurpose Cooperative and how the language behavior barriers between Buton and Buru tribe employees at the Buru Jazirah Namlea Multipurpose Cooperative in Namlea Buru Maluku Regency. This qualitative descriptive study examines linguistic phenomena. The data source in this study is the utterances used between the employees of the Buton tribe and the Buru tribe in the Buru Jazirah Namlea Multipurpose Cooperative which contains the regional languages of the two tribes. The method of data collection is done through non-participant observation. While the technique of data collection is done through the technique of referring to skillful engagements, recording techniques, and note-taking techniques. The data that has been classified is then analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study revealed that the language behavior between the employees of the Buton tribe and the Buru tribe at the Buru Jazirah Namlea Multipurpose Cooperative was initially not very good considering they communicated with each other in their respective languages but over time this could be overcome so that between the Buton tribes and the Buru tribe cooperated well. Subsequent findings of language barriers between Buton and Buru tribes employees at the Buru Jazirah Namlea Multipurpose Cooperative influenced their respective regional languages, between the two tribes unable to understand each other because the two tribes used their respective regional languages. when interacting.  Sebagai warga negara yang baik, ketika kita berkumpul antara sesama pengguna bahasa yang saling berbeda bahasa daerah, kita harus selalu menggunakan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa persatuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bagaimana perilaku berbahasa antara karyawan suku Buton dan suku Buru di Koperasi Serba Usaha Buru Jazirah Namlea dan bagaimana hambatan-hambatan perilaku berbahasa antara karyawan suku Buton dan suku Buru di Koperasi Serba Usaha Buru Jazirah Namlea di Namlea Kabupaten Buru, Maluku. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini mengkaji tentang fenomena kebahasaan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan-tuturan yang digunakan antara karyawan suku Buton dan suku Buru di Koperasi Serba Usaha Buru Jazirah Namlea yang mengandung bahasa daerah kedua suku tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi nonpartisipasi. Sementara teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik simak bebas libat cakap, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. Data yang sudah diklasifikasi kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif.            Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa perilaku berbahasa antara karyawan suku Buton dan suku Buru di Koperasi Serba Usaha Buru Jazirah Namlea pada awalnya kurang begitu baik mengingat mereka saling berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan bahasa daerah masing-masing, namun seiring dengan berjalannya waktu hal tersebut bisa teratasi sehingga antara suku Buton dan suku Buru terjalin kerja sama dengan baik. Temuan berikutnya hambatan-hambatan  yang terjadi dalam perilaku berbahasa antara karyawan suku Buton dan suku Buru di Koperasi Serba Usaha Buru Jazirah Namlea yaitu pengaruh bahasa daerah masing-masing antara kedua suku tersebut tidak bisa saling memahami karena kedua suku tersebut menggunakan bahasa daerah mereka masing-masing ketika berinteraksi.

Abstract Physics demonstration learning has been carried out with the theme "Physics Experiments You Can Do at Home During the Covid-19 Pandemic". This activity was carried out by making a simple physics experiment video entitled The Chladni Plate Concept which was then broadcasted online via a zoom platform to students of SMA Negeri 40. The theme carried was in accordance with the learning curriculum for Senior High School (SMA) students. This activity was carried out as an effort to respond to the Covid- 19 pandemic situation which requires students to carry out learning activities at home online, so it is hoped that this activity can increase understanding and stimulate student enthusiasm during the Distance Learning (PJJ) period. As confirmation that the activity gained enthusiasm and was able to achieve these goals, a research instrument was made consisting of several parameters which the instrument was distributed to the teacher and all participants. 96% confirmed that the material presented was very useful during a pandemic. This indicates that the physics demonstration presented in the form of a video can be an alternative for students of SMA Negeri 40 Jakarta in learning physics, especially in discussing physics experiments regarding the Chladni Plate Concept.   Abstrak Telah dilaksanakan pembelajaran peragaan fisika dengan tema “Eksperimen Fisika yang Bisa Dilakukan di Rumah Selama Pandemi Covid-19”. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan membuat video ekskperimen fisika sederhana berjudul Konsep Chladni Plate yang kemudian video tersebut ditayangkan secara daring melalui platform zoom kepada siswa/i SMA Negeri 40. Tema yang diusung sesuai dengan kurikulum pembelajaran untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya menyikapi situasi pandemi Covid-19 yang mengharuskan pelajar untuk melakukan kegiatan belajar di rumah secara daring, sehingga diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman serta merangsang semangat siswa/i selama masa Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). Sebagai konfirmasi bahwa kegiatan mendapatkan antusiasme dan mampu mencapai tujuan tersebut, dibuatlah instrumen penelitian yang terdiri dari beberapa parameter dimana instrumen tersebut disebarkan kepada guru dan seluruh peserta. Terkonfirmasi sebanyak 96% menyatakan materi yang disampaikan sangat berguna di masa pandemi. Dengan ini mengindikasikan bahwa dengan peragaan fisika yang disajikan dalam bentuk video dapat menjadi alternatif bagi siswa/i SMA Negeri 40 Jakarta dalam belajar fisika khususnya dalam pembahasan eksperimen fisika mengenai Konsep Chladni Plate.

Suppression activities on large wildfires are complicated. Existing suppression literature does not take into account this complexity which leaves existing suppression models and measures of resource productivity incomplete. A qualitative descriptive analysis was performed on the suppression activities described in operational documents of 10 large wildfires in Victoria, Australia. A five-stage classification system summarises suppression in the everyday terms of wildfire management. Suppression can be heterogeneous across different sectors with different stages occurring across sectors on the same day. The stages and the underlying 20 suppression tasks identified provide a fundamental description of how suppression resources are being used on large wildfires. We estimate that at least 57% of resource use on our sample of 10 large wildfires falls outside of current suppression modelling and productivity research.

Globally, students have long familiarized with utilizng a presentation program from Microsoft named Powerpoint, this program is good just not enough to attract the attention of students’ creativity. It is necessary a program that can not only be used to display concepts but also be able to attract the attention of students while presenting. The program in question is Focusky, in addition to being easy to use the program is also able to display slides with zoom in-zoom out effect with friendly facilities and object effects galore making this program very suitable used by students in presenting their tasks in front of the class. This study employs a qualitative descriptive study by conducting data collection through books and other literature as the main object.  Descriptive analysis method provides a clear, objective, systematic, analytical and critical picture and description of the application of focusky presentation media to the creative writing of Unuiversity students. Students in general, for example in the Faculty of Literature UMI do not have the same information technology capabilities (evenly) where there are those capable while some who are less in designing presentations. Hence, utilizing focusky will help students who could make creative presentations media to the best of their abilites.  Focusky-based presentation acts as an alternative to support students creativity that is very appropriate to apply to creative writing ideas and motivate students during presentations in higher education setting.

This research aims to increase the active participation of students through lesson study courses in the geometry of space subject. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject is the class A students of the fourth semester  in academic year 2015/2016 who are in the geometry of spaces subject with the number of students are 35. The instruments used are observation sheets of the students' active participation and documentation in the form of photographs and videos. The research procedures based on the stages of the lesson study were 3 cycles in which each cycle consisting of the activity plan, do, and see. This study shows that the results of learning process with the lesson study designed by the model lecturer and the observer can increase the students' active participation, particularly on the subjects of geometry of space. <p>Geometry is a branch of science in mathematics and a course taken by students of mathematics education. Based on students' final exam scores, results were not optimal with several types of errors detected. This study aimed at identify student mistakes in solving geometry problems on the topic of solid figures. The subjects of this study were mathematics education students in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Tangerang. The type of research was a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used was a test. The results showed that students' errors in solving geometry problems were concept errors, calculation errors, and a lack of accuracy because they were in a hurry.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: </strong>Geometri merupakan salah satu cabang ilmu dalam matematika dan merupakan matakuliah yang wajib diikuti oleh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika. Berdasarkan nilai ujian akhir semester mahasiswa didapatkan hasilnya masih kurang maksimal, hal ini memungkinkan terdapat beberapa tipe kesalahan jawaban dari mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal UAS geometri pada topik bangun ruang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan matematika semester genap Universitas Pelita Harapan Tangerang tahun akademik 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri adalah kesalahan konsep, kesalahan hitung, dan kurang teliti karena terburu-buru.</p>

The purpose of this research was to know diathesis contained in Twitter tweets of teenagers. Research conducted in Jakarta, during the even semester of the 2014/2015 academic year used a qualitative descriptive analysis method with content analysis. The object of this research is Twitter text written by teenagers. The instrument used in this study was the researcher himself who was assisted by the data analysis table. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the most common diathesis is active diathesis with the appearance of 40% of the total data available. Second is a causative diathesis with the occurrence of 21.54% of the total data. From the two biggest occurrences, it is seen that diathesis that refers to active actions/actions is the most widely used. So, it can be concluded that Twitter tweets of teenagers are more dominant using active diathesis

<p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstract:</strong> The aim of research was to determine the need for multimedia based on Problem Based Learning in biological matter. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The method used is in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire). Questionnaires were given to 67 students of SMAN 1 Way Jepara in August 2017. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results indicates that 67.2% of students stated that the material immune system was considered the most difficult, 93.3% of students wanted the development of new learning media, 54% of students wanted interactive multimedia. The conclusion of this study is that it is necessary to develop learning media in the form of interactive multimedia based on Problem Based Learning in the XI class immune system material.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan terhadap multimedia interaktif berbasis <em>Problem Based Learning</em> pada materi Biologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan berupa angket (kuesioner). Angket diberikan kepada 67 siswa SMAN 1 Way Jepara Agustus 2017. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 67,2% siswa menyatakan bahwa sistem imun materi yang dianggap paling sulit, 93,3% siswa menginginkan adanya pengembangan media pembelajaran baru, 54% siswa menginginkan multimedia interkatif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perlu dikembangkan media pembelajaran berupa multimedia interaktif berbasis <em>Problem Based Learning</em> materi sistem imun kelas XI.
