The exploration of Coulomb blockade oscillations in plasmonic nanoparticle dimers is the subject of this study. When two metal nanoparticles are brought together at the end of their journey, tunnelling current prevents an infinite connection dipolar plasmon and an infinite amplification in the electric fields throughout the hot spot in between nanoparticles from occurring. One way to think about single-electron tunnelling through some kind of quantum dot is to think about Coulomb blockage oscillations in conductance. The electron transport between the dot and source is considered. The model of study is the linear conductance skilled at describing the basic physics of electronic states in the quantum dot. The linear conductance through the dot is defined as G = lim ⟶ 0 I / V in the limit of infinity of small bias voltage. We discuss the classical and quantum metallic Coulomb blockade oscillations. Numerically, the linear conductance was plotted as a function gate voltage. The Coulomb blockade oscillation occurs as gate voltage varies. In the valleys, the conductance falls exponentially as a function gate voltage. As a result of our study, the conductance is constant at high temperature and does not show oscillation in both positive and negative gate voltages. At low temperature, conductance shows oscillation in both positive and negative gate voltages.

<p>The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Islamic values in basic physics subject using the pre-rules method. The subjects of the study are Pre-Service Biology Teachers (PBT) who attended basic physics lectures amount 51 students. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by descriptive analysis. The process of implementing Islamic values is carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The planning stage is carried out by developing an integrated Lesson Plan by adding points of unity of sense. At the implementation stage, it is done by instilling divine values in prayer activities and linking the material with verses of the Al-Qur'an. In addition, human values such as discipline and responsibility are also applied. While the evaluation stage through the provision of integrated questions. The response of PBT to this implementation shows that this integration is able to increase gratitude to God and make basic physics subject more interesting.</p>

Abstract Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) has proved its quite competitive thermoelectric properties in flexible electronics with its excellent electrical and mechanical properties. Since the early discovery of PEDOT, considerable experimental progress has been achieved in optimizing and improving thermoelectric properties as a promising organic thermoelectric material (OTE). Among them, theoretical research has made significant contributions to its development. Here the basic physics of conductive PEDOT are reviewed based on the combination of theory and experiment. Its purpose is to provide a new insight into the development of PEDOT, so as to effectively design and preparation of advanced thermoelectric PEDOT material in the future.

The problem faced by the community is the ignorance of the use of the renewable alternative energy that is environmentally friendly. The need of electricity is important, but the cost of it is expensive, while the electricity managed by PLN often goes out. The activity carried out was to make a Solar Power Plant (SPP) as a producer of electricity by giving counseling and training to the residents about the construction, operation, and mantainance of PV mini-grid. They were also given knowledge about basic physics, the sun as an enery source, solar power plants, SPP potentials in Indonesia and its applications: On-grid and Ogg-grid, as well as SPP Dsign Guidelines. The process and utilization of electricity generators steps were also shown tho them. The output of this activity was the handout for SPP socialization and maintanance guidelines and utilization for lighting. Key words: solar panels, electricity producers, training

The implementation of remote basic physics experiments during a pandemic has its own challenges. This experiment had problems in terms of planning, implementation, and reporting. The purpose of this study are to describe the implementation of synchronous distance learning of fundamental physics experiments using simple tools and to find out students' perceptions regarding the obstacles in the synchronous distance learning implementation of experiments. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instrument used is a questionnaire distributed using Google Form. The respondents in this study were 69 students who took the fundamental physics experiment course in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. Analysis of research data was carried out using descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicated that the application of Google Meetassisted experiments using simple tools and materials that were easily obtained by students could reduce the problem of completing tools and materials by students and the use of Google Meet allowed the mentoring process during the experiment by the lecturer. The most common obstacles encountered by students were obstacles in the implementation phase where sometimes the internet network did not support it while students needed to listen to the direction of the supporting lecturer, especially if the instructions in the manual were not well understood.

Abstract The parabolic approximation to the dispersion relation is a simplification that has often been adopted for the electronic band structure of most semiconductors near the edges of the fundamental bandgap. A non-parabolic approximation can be justified which will better describe the properties of semiconductors of narrow bandgaps for which a reduction to a quadratic form is not accurate enough, nor always warranted. It also stands for a better approximation in III–V compounds and for more complex thermoelectric materials. Some of the consequences of adopting non-parabolic bands will be highlighted, as well as approximate expressions for statistical properties. It is emphasized that many properties of semiconductors are not difficult to calculate with non-parabolic bands, which may have a wider range of applications in actual materials. These calculations can then be introduced in solid state physics and statistical physics courses through projects and homework problem sets. Specific examples are discussed designed to clarify basic physics concepts in semiconductors.

Capillary barrier effect (CBE) is employed in a large number of geotechnical applications to decrease deep percolation or increase slope stability. However, the micro-scale behaviour of CBE is rarely investigated, and thus hampers the scientific design of capillary barrier systems. This study uses microfluidics to explore the micro-scale behaviour of CBE. Capillarity-driven water flow processes from fine to coarse porous media with different pore topologies and sizes were performed and analysed. The experimental results demonstrate that the basic physics of CBE is the preferential water movement into the fine porous media due to the larger capillarity. The effects of CBE on water flow processes can be identified as delaying the occurrence of breakthrough into the coarse porous media and increasing the water storage of the fine porous media. The CBE can impede the increase of the normalized length and decrease the normalized width of the water front, suggesting that the two normalized parameters are potential indicators to assess the performance of CBE at micro scale. CBE can be formed in square and honeycomb networks with the ratio of coarse to fine pore throat width larger than 2.0 when gravity is neglected, and its performance can be affected by pore topology and size.

This research is based on the problem where practical activities in the Basic Physics Practicum course can no longer be carried out optimally due to changes in the learning model from face-to-face (offline) to online (online) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to develop a virtual physics laboratory as a medium in carrying out practical activities and to analyze the feasibility of the product through the validation results of experts and the results of product trials on prospective users. This type of research is Research & Development with ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were 12 lecturers and 47 students of the STKIP Citra Bakti science education study program. Data collection techniques using validation sheets and questionnaires. The data collection instruments are in the form of validation assessment sheets and response questionnaires of prospective users. The data from this study were analyzed qualitatively descriptive to decide the feasibility of the product being developed. The results of the research showed that the average validation score of the material expert was 4.63, the media expert was 4.41, the learning design expert was 4.30, and the linguist was 4.51. The validation results of the four validators are in the very good category. Meanwhile, the results of product trials to lecturers and students as potential users are in the very good category with an average score of 4.53 and 4.57, respectively. Based on these data, this virtual physics laboratory product with real world problems based on Ngada local wisdom is recommended to be applied to the Basic Physics Practicum course and to help students in their independent practicum activities.
