This article analyzes the most current security issues for the Republic of Moldova that are part of the regional security context of Eastern Europe –the region that can be considered the epicenter of international tensions through which the„geopolitical line of fracture”passes. The geographical position of the Republic of Moldova makes this state particularly sensitive to any negative trends in theregion. Growing of international tensions creates security threats and complicates economic development. From a historical point of view, Moldova has repeatedly fallen victim by the confrontation of the great powers. Therefore, the Republic of Moldova has a vital interest in preventing a new conflict in Eastern Europe. This article is based on a number of assumptions made by changes in the European security environment, such as the „shift of weight” to the East, strategic uncertainty, increasing the role of non-state actors, the situation in eastern Ukraine, etc. Based on these assumptions, this article makes an attempt to outline the potential role of the Republic of Moldova in the Eastern European security system, taking into account the desideratum for integration of the republic into the European Union. Other relevant factors will be taken into account for shaping the role of the Republic of Moldova in the European security system, namely: the security deficit; the impact of NATO and EU security policy; the rebirth of the project to create a regional defense alliance, etc. This article will largely take into account the military aspects of security. Abstract This study provides requisite information on the thorny civil war and destructive situation in the Republic of Sudan, which has led to the indictment of the sitting Sudanese Head of State in 2009. This paper will provide an in depth discussion regarding increased weapons transfers and its adverse impact on the conflict in Sudan. Additionally, theoretical frameworks regarding the foreign policies of nation-states, power, and resource conflict will be utilized to analyze the Sudanese government’s relationships with China, Russia and Iran as well as its relationship with the marginalized communities of the Sudan such as Darfur and the Nuba Mountains. Information has been provided to underscore the major players in the conflict, whereby Russia, Iran and China are considered culprits in the arms race in the area. Russia, China and Iran have continued to supply arms to Sudan despite the institution of a UN arms embargo in 2004. Although the weapons procurement chain in Sudan demands a comprehensive analysis of both state and non-state actors a close examination of its relationship with various nation-states such as China, Iran and Russia will provide a greater understanding of the economic and political environment that has contributed to the increase of weapons transfers which has adversely impacted internal and regional security.

The article actualizes the problems of educational integration in the school system of the Republic of Iraq. The author considers this problem from the perspective of the integration of children with visual impairments in ordinary non-specialized schools. The article substantiates the importance of the educational integration of children with disabilities in the educational system of Iraq in the framework of the new educational paradigm. The author reveals the possibilities of health-saving technologies implemented in the school system of education of the republic for the successful psychosocial adaptation of children with visual impairments. The basic concepts of a health-saving education policy in Iraq are presented, as well as their use for the successful integration and psychosocial adaptation of children with visual impairments in ordinary schools. The article indicates the main trends and principles of educational integration in Iraqi schools, discusses the necessary aspects of training teachers in working with children with health problems. The author pays special attention to social aspects in the framework of integration, the interaction of children with visual impairments in the educational environment of ordinary schools. The article highlights the levels of ensuring successful integration and psychosocial adaptation in the educational system of Iraq. Some conceptual methodological aspects in the work of a teacher with children with visual impairments integrated into regular schools are disclosed.

The need to understand the concept of critical thinking grows out of the requirements for a modern person, in addition, critical thinking is an important component of the state strategy for the development of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We are convinced that this topic will develop together with the educational system of our country. The monitoring study presented in the article is the first in Kazakhstan, its purpose is to find out how successfully the concept of critical thinking as a way of thinking has been conveyed to students over the years since the adoption and implementation of the updated content of secondary education program. The study compared two groups of students: those who studied and those who did not study according to the updated content of secondary education, in order to find out how effectively the concept of critical thinking was learned by students. According to the monitoring results, there was no significant difference between the two groups of students, but the respondents' answers showed that there is a persistent non-distinction between such concepts as decision-making in emergency and critical situations, analysis, conclusions, self-regulation, speed of decision-making and success in the exact sciences in the perception of the concept of "critical thinking". At the end of the article, recommendations are given for further use of the obtained data for other studies.

Residential halls came into existence and developed complementarily with schools as institutions of education. Throughout history, alongside their educational role they also had a social function. Their basic purpose was to participate in the upbringing of both the individual and his society. This testifies that they came into existence as a response to both individual and social needs. The author taxonomically explicates this basic purpose by tackling the following issues: residential halls as functioning within the democratization of the pedagogical-educational system; the role of residential halls in realizing the aims of secondary education and making its organization more efficient; the place of residential halls in the development of youth tourism.There is a special needs for residential halls during and after times of revolutionary changes and war. This has been the case in the Republic of Croatia during the present war and is to be expected in the near future. Certain undertakings by society at large ought to be aimed in the direction, of constructing a network of residential halls and giving them a proper educational function.

The report presents all the current challenges which the Bulgarian military-educational system is facing in the context of the basic features of the security environment and trends for the first half of the 21th century by identifying the main problem areas in its functioning. The status and capabilities of the military-educational system of the Republic of Bulgaria are discussed on the basis of an analysis of key strategic documents in the sectors of education, security and defence, as well as the current state of military and civil education and the inherent activities of the training institutions. Outlined are the basic principles of construction and operation of military-educational systems and the fundamental strategic goals and tasks according to modern strategic security environment and dynamically changing conditions in NATO and the EU. Described are the main elements of the military-educational system as a complex, adaptive and flexible system that develops in unity and complementarity with the system of civil education in Bulgaria. Guidelines are formulated for improving the military educational system in relation to its contribution to strengthening national security and defence of the country in three directions – conceptual, organizational and technological improvement.

The research of the fundamental problem for ensuring the institutional resilience of the national security of the Republic of Moldova during the COVID-19 pandemic consists of the analysis of the geopolitical coordinate of the international events that determines the process of transforming the regional and international security environment. COVID-19 pandemic phenomenon can be considered a multi-dimensional global crisis in which the foreign policy actions of the great powers and regional powers have intensified in order to influence the reconfiguration of the geopolitical architecture of the international security system and the security complex structure in different regions of the world. The main idea of the subject proposed for scientific examination consists of investigating the impact of the geopolitical context of the regional security environment during the global pandemic generated by the new type of COVID-19 Coronavirus on the process of ensuring national security of the Republic of Moldova. Profifi ling fifi rst the examination of the political-military cooperation relations between the Republic Moldova and the North Atlantic Alliance, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributed to the elucidation of the opportunities provided by the Alliance to increase the level of the institutional resilience of the national security and defense system of the Republic of Moldova, which needs further substantial support of the development partners, by ensuring the adjustment of the national security components to the Euro-Atlantic standards that will strengthen the capability and interoperability degree in the national security and defense field, thus discouraging possible menaces and counteracting current risks and threats.
