Environmental education aims to attract people's interest in paying attention toenvironmental functions, how to manage the environment and protect the environment.Developing knowledge about the importance of the environment is the first step in the formationof an environmentally friendly society. Through knowledge and awareness, positive values andattitudes will emerge to make lifestyle adjustments that will reduce the burden on the environment(Ramadhan et al 2019). Sukma & Azrianti (2020) said that character education is very importantto be instilled since students are still in elementary school. The diversity of characters and habitsof students at school who come from different family backgrounds is very influential and can evencause bad things in the character of the child. Several cases state that students' attitudes areinfluenced by the surrounding environment or family environment, in addition, the finding of somestudents who often experience confusion in translating their local language into Indonesian is aform that the environment greatly affects Indonesian language learning (Ikhlasani & Ramadhan2021). Therefore, it is important to develop knowledge about the environment, environmentalawareness and behavior change towards the environment (Ramadhan et al, 2019).

The environment is a factor that greatly influences the learning process, especially learning Indonesian. A good environment will have a good impact on learning outcomes. Learning Indonesian is one of the compulsory subjects at the elementary to tertiary education levels. Environmentally based Indonesian language learning is held with a good aim, namely increasing students' interest in learning. When students are invited to study with the surrounding environment, it means that students will also learn how to communicate properly and correctly with the environment, think creatively, and find problems and solve problems around them.

Indonesian has a close relationship in learning Indonesian with the environment. Because, the environment can determine a person's language. A person will have a good language if he is in an environment where the Indonesian language is qualified. A good Indonesian environment can be started from learning Indonesian that relates it to the surrounding environment. The environment is very important for the survival of living things on earth. This is because the environment is the home of all living things on earth. Including humans, animals, plants that we must preserve. If the environment did not exist then all living things on earth would not survive. Likewise, if the environment continues to be damaged.

An extensive meta-analysis, including 52 studies, was undertaken on the relationship between character education and student achievement and behavioral outcomes. Additional analyses were done to determine whether the effects of character education differed by student grade level, locale, race, and so on. The results indicated that character education is associated with higher levels of educational outcomes, no matter what type of standardized or nonstandardized measure was employed. Character education was also related to higher levels of expressions of love, integrity, compassion, and self-discipline. Overall, character education had somewhat greater effects for children in high school rather than those who were in elementary school. The effects of character education did not differ by the race of the children. The significance of these results is discussed.

There are few studies connecting character education with Blog-assisted online learning environment in elementary school scenarios. Therefore, the Networking Integrated Character Education (NICE) project has been planned, designed, developed and implemented in the study. The NICE system focuses on the interaction and communication to enhance the awareness and behavior of character for children. There were sixty-nine fifth graders of a public elementary school in Taiwan involved in this study. The online questionnaires were given to find out the feasibility of the project. Data were analyzed by ANCOVA. The experimental results showed that there were significant in all of the two core values Thanksgiving and Helping Others. Based on the online survey, this Blog-based NICE project could help teachers or instructors facilitate students’ learning and would be a very useful and valuable instructional platform for young learners to implement and make progress on character development.

Japan is a country whose people have a high awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. The environment in Japan can be maintained well not apart from the cooperation between the government and the community together to preserve and protect the surrounding environment. One of the keys to Japan's success in protecting the environment is the consistent and dynamic implementation of environmental education since elementary school age. Environmental education in primary schools in Japan is taught directly through experiments and direct observation in the surrounding environment. Environmental education in primary schools in Japan is associated with several subjects, one of which is the subject of Natural Sciences (rika) and Social Sciences (shakai). Environmental education is also taught through integrated study activities (sougotekina gakushu), through efforts to maintain cleanliness together, through assignments during the summer holidays. The model of environmental education is implemented consistently and with full awareness by elementary school managers in Japan and their students so as to produce students who have a high awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.

Project GREEN (Garden Resources for Environmental Education Now!) is an educational tool to assist in the teaching of environmental education at the elementary school level. Project GREEN is different from many current educational practices because its major goal is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to environmental education by infusing activities centered around a hands-on tool, “the garden.” The main goal of this project included evaluating whether students participating in Project GREEN were developing positive environmental attitudes. Three schools throughout Texas participated in the study. Approximately 200 students were evaluated; 100 participants served as the experimental group and 100 non-participants served as the control group. Students were evaluated using the Children's Environmental Response Inventory (CERI), which measures students' attitudes about nature and human dominance over nature. This questionnaire also contained a section for biographical information. Comparisons were made between the experimental and control groups, as well as between gender, age, ethnicity, and time in the garden. Results examine the relationship between the garden program and environmental attitudes for both control and experimental groups.
