This article is a part of research about developing multimedia of physics learning based on competence of students on senior high school in North Moluccas. This research was done to investigate the effectiveness of using interactive multimedia to increasing student mastery of concept in ability on national examination of physics particularly on concepts of Fluid Dynamics. This research was an experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design which had involved the students of 11th grade at the one of senior high school in Kayoa archipelago at South Halmahera Regency. Data were collected through test which is contains national examination questions for physics lesson. The result of data analyze shown that the average N-gain for experiment group is 0.45 and control group is 0.28. The analyze of ttest shown that the scores t_count = 2.529 which is higher than the t_critic = 2.0231. Based on the calculation the effect size obtained the magnitude of effect size = 1.1 (high). Based on analyze of data, it was concluded that the use of interactive multimedia in learning of physics as significantly more effective to increase students mastery of concept in ability on national examination of physics spesially on concept of fluid dynamics than conventional learning.

This study is designed in the form of experiment with the design of control group and posttest only aimed at investigating the role of learning that teaches metaphorical thinking in improving senior high school teachers’ mathematical questioning ability. The population of this study was senior high school teachers of mathematics in West Java province and the samples were 124 senior high school teachers of mathematics set purposively and randomly to be included into the experimental class and control class. Based on the results and discussion, it is concluded that: (1) mathematical questioning ability of the teachers who received metaphorical thinking learning is better than those who received conventional learning; (2) learning factors and KAM (Kemampuan Awal Matematis = Prior Mathematical Ability) affect the achievement of teachers’ mathematical questioning ability. In addition, there is an interaction effect between the learning and KAM in developing teachers’ mathematical questioning ability; (3) teachers’ mathematical questioning ability has not been achieved optimally on the indicators submitting problems in the form of non-routine questions and open-ended questions.

Learning is a process that requires resources as a support in the success of learning. As an educator, teachers must be careful in choosing the learning resources needed by students, so that the learning process can be achieved according to the purpose of learning. But in fact, the learning that teachers do in schools is still not utilizing the media as an appropriate learning resource for students, especially in the understanding of abstract biological concepts that require supporting media for student learning. This study aims to describe differences in student learning outcomes that use interactive multimedia with textbooks in biology learning at senior high school. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental, with Control Group Pretest - Posttest Design. Population in this research is class XI-MIPA I and XI-MIPA II. Class XI-MIPA I as experimental class and class XI-MIPA II as control class. The data were obtained by using a multiple choice test instrument of 30 questions. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest it was found that the average value of the experimental class was greater than the control class. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes that use interactive multimedia with textbooks in biology learning at senior high school.

Kosakata adalah hal yang penting untuk diingat oleh individu, namun terkadang individu merasa sulit untuk mengingat kosakata. Individu memerlukan sebuah metode yang dapat membantu untuk mengingat dengan mudah kosakata beserta artinya atau tidak mudah lupa dengan kosakata yang telah dipelajari sebelumnya. Keyword mnemonic merupakan salah satu cara untuk membantu individu dalam mengingat kosakata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas keyword mnemonic dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat arti kosakata bahasa inggris. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 56 siswa SMP Negeri 13 Makassar yang belum menghafal kosakata bahasa Inggris beserta artinya. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah control group posttest-only design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok yang menggunakan keyword mnemonic dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok yang menggunakan keyword mnemonic (mean=1.14) memperoleh hasil lebih tinggi dari kelompok kontrol (mean=-5.14) (p=0.000<0.05). Penelitian ini bermanfaat bagi individu yang ingin mengingat dengan mudah dan dapat digunakan dalam waktu jangka panjang. Kata kunci: Keyword mnemonic, mengingat, kosakata Vocabulary is an important thing to be remembered by the people, but sometimes people find it difficult to remember the vocabulary. Individuals need a method that can help to remember vocabulary and their meanings easily or not easily forget the vocabulary that have been studied previously. Keyword mnemonic is one of the method to assist individuals in remembering vocabulary. The purposed of this study was to determine the effectiveness  keyword mnemonic to improve the ability to remember the meaning of the english vocabulary. Subjects of this study involving 56 students of senior high school of thirteen Makassar who have not memorized the English vocabulary and their meanings yet. Experimental design used in this study is the posttest-only control group design. The results showed that there are significant differences between the groups using the keyword mnemonic and control groups. The groups that use the keyword mnemonic (mean=1.14) obtain higher yields than the control group (mean=-5.14) (p=0.000<0.05). The goal of this research is to obtain the gain of students conceptual understanding in applied cognitive conflict approach in heat and temperature. Method of the research is experiment that conducted at 10th grade in one of senior high school in Bandung. Cognitive conflict approach was used on experiment group while control group used conventional approach. Data were collected through pretest, posttest, questionaire, and observation sheet. Data was analized statistically by t-test. The result showed that normalized gain of conceptual understanding of experiment group and control group 0.57 , 0.35 respectively. It showed that average of normalized gain of experiment group is higher than that of control group significantly. The conclusion of the research was cognitive conflict approach increase students conceptual understanding. Besides that students and teachers responses gave positively.Key words: cognitive conflict, conceptual understanding

Vocabulary is the language resource, students have to know vocabularies to produce sentences. Thus, the aim of this study was to find out whether snake and ladder board game could improve students’ vocabulary mastery or not. The subject analyzed in this research were the tenth grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah I. The experimental group was X-IPS-I while the control group was X-IPS-II.This study employed quantitative research design. This design was selected due to this present study was required a concrete evidence whether Snake and Ladder Board Game could enhance students’ vocabulary mastery in senior high school or not. In this study the instruments used were pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The pre-test was given to both experimental and control group. After the pre-test was given to both groups, then the experimental group was treated or taught by using snake and ladder board game, while the control group was not treated by using snake and ladder board game. After that, the post-test was also given to both experimental and control group. The researcher used t-test to know the significant difference between the mean score of the experimental and control group. The process of t-test was counted using computer SPSS 17 version.The result of this study was shown that snake and ladder board game could improve students’ vocabulary mastery due to the score of pre-test in control group was higher than the pre-test score of experimental group. Otherwise, the post-test score of experimental group was higher than the control group. Accordingly, related to the result of this experimental research, the researcher concludes that snake and ladder board game can improve students’ vocabulary mastery in the first year students of senior high school.

Research on the problems that exist in Batusangkar 1 Senior High School, student learning competencies are still low. The efforts that can be done are to implement a time learning model that contains scientific literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the time token model with scientific literacy on the learning competency of students' in Batusangkar 1 Senior High School. This type of research was experimental research with a randomized control group posttest only design. The population in this study were all class X MIPA Batusangkar 1 senior high school registered in the 2018/2019. Sampling was done using Purposive Sampling techniques. X MIPA 2 as the experimental class and X MIPA 1 as the control class. The instruments used were in the form of posttest questions for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude and skills competencies. Based on the results of the study using the t-test it can be concluded that the knowledge competencies of students t count 3.41> t table 1.67, the attitudes  competency t count 5.95> t table 1.67, and the skills competency tcount 2.34 > t table 1.67. it shows that the hypothesis was accepted. So, the application of the time token model with scientific literacy can improve the competency of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of class X students of  senior high school 1 Batusangkar

This study aims at investigating the effects of Student Team Achievement Division Cooperative Learning (STAD CL) at eleventh grade students of Senior High School 1 Kudus and finding solutions and strategies to make teachers have a formed opinion of the use of STAD in delivering the subject matter while teaching to make more it effective.This study was experimental research. The population of this study was the eleventh year students of Senior High School 1 Kudus in the Academic Year 2015/2016. There were five classes from XI-A to XI -E. Each class had 35 students, so the total population were 175 students. Meanwhile the samples of this study were eighty students from four classes which were selected based on the historical factors and pre-existing ability. 80 students were choosen to be a sample, 40 as experimental group and 40 as control group. Both groups were given the pre-test to measure students' reading skill and after several times of treatments, both groups were given the post-test.The results of the study showed that there was significant difference between the means of experimental and control groups on the reading achievement. Hence, STAD CL was more effective than conventional in the way that mostly students developed their reading performance in the classroom. Further study may also be conducted to determine whether teachers’ use of STAD CL appears to reduce student anxiety and stress in the classroom to improve students’ reading or even other skills, retention, and student-teacher relationships.AbstractPenelitian ini bertujuan

The aim of the research was to know the effect of implementation of problem-based learning model on students' physics achievement and critical thinking. The research was a quasi-experimental using a pre-test-post-test control group design. It was conducted at a state senior high school in Indonesia. The data were collected by a students' physics achievement test, a students' critical thinking test, and an observation sheet. The data were analysed by calculating normalized gain scores and hypothesis testing by using MANOVA with the significance level of .05 as criterion. The research results indicated that the average gain scores for students' physics achievement of the experimental and control groups were respectively .63 and .32, the average gain scores for students' critical thinking of the experimental and control groups were respectively .49 and .34, and a value of p is .0001 was obtained from the MANOVA calculation so that it is concluded that such learning as that in the experimental group is better in comparison with such learning as that in the control group. The results of this research are expected to increase insight and knowledge of teachers in implementing the learning process in the classroom so as to apply varied learning models. This research aimed at finding out the effect of zig-zag run training, back and forth run, push up with circuit training toward physical health (study on football extracurricular students of Senior High School Soa). This research was experiment research with the static-group prestest-posttest design. The sample of this research as much as 40 students consisted of 20 students for experiment group and 20 students for control group which taken randomly. In order to collect the physical health upgrading data used TKJI, then data analyzed by T-test. The result of the analysis showed that score tcount in amount of 3,5 bigger than score ttable 2.042 on significance level 5% (α0.05). This means there is significance effect of physical health between experiment group and control group. Thus, it can be concluded that zig-zag run training, back and forth run, push up with circuit training influenced toward physical health on football extracurricular students of  Soa Senior High School.
