Note: This pre-print includes the accepted version of a manuscript that will be published in Sage Research Methods: Doing Research Online. In this case study, I describe methodological insights from data analysis of an online adult lifespan dataset (over 100,000 completions, ages 15-100). The data were used to study cross-sectional age differences in cognitive performance. I cover the steps of data analysis for large-scale web-based data, namely data cleaning, analysis, and visualization techniques. In each step, I describe the unique challenges that face analysis of data collected online, and potential solutions to address them, by drawing on practical lessons and examples from this study. First, I address how to identify problematic recordings such as technical issues (incomplete data, multiple completions by the same person, etc.), unreliable self-reported demographic information (age), and cognitive task outliers (accuracy, response times). I propose rigorous data cleaning as an essential first step to ensure that analytical conclusions are reliable and unbiased. Next, I demonstrate data visualization techniques that are better suited to large online datasets than more conventional techniques (e.g., density plots or locally weighted scatterplot smoothing instead of dot-plots or linear regression). Lastly, I cover the limitations of significance testing in large online datasets, and the value of complementary approaches such as data visualization, effect size estimation, and use of parsimony criteria. I also discuss more sophisticated analysis options enabled by large online datasets, such as non-linear regression, model comparison and selection, data resampling, and addition of covariates.

Organizations are collecting an increasing amount of data every day. To make use of this rich source of information, more and more employees have to deal with data analysis and data science. Exploring data, understanding its structure, and finding new insights, can be greatly supported by data visualization. Therefore, the increasing interest in data science and data analytics also leads to a growing interest in data visualization and exploratory data analysis. We will outline how existing data visualization techniques are already successfully employed in different data science workflow stages. In some cases, visualization is beneficial, while still future research will be needed for other categories. The vast amount of libraries and applications available for data visualization has fostered its usage in data science. We will highlight the differences among the libraries and applications currently available. Unfortunately, there is still a clear gap between visualization research developments over the past decades and the features provided by commonly used tools and data science applications. Although basic charting options are commonly available, more advanced visualization techniques have hardly been integrated as new features yet.

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction on Customer Loyalty in Jabodetabek Commuter Line. The sample of this study was 50 people. Methods of collecting data by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis using the analysis used is simple linear regression, t test and coefficient of determination. The results showed 1) Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty in Jabodetabek Commuter Line, with a significance level of 0.048; and supported by the results of hypothesis testing with a t-count value of 4.433 > t-table value of 1.95, with a significance of 0.048 or < 0.05; 2) Customer Satisfaction positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty in Jabodetabek Commuter Line, with a level significance of 0,000; and supported by the results of hypothesis testing with a t-count value of 4,969 > t-table value of 1.95, with a significance of 0,000 or < 0.05, 3) Service quality and Customer Satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty in Jabodetabek Commuter Line, with a significance level of 0,000. This means that the hypothesis H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so that it can be concluded that service quality and customer satisfaction together have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty in Jabodetabek Commuter Line.

Kata kunci: Harga, Brand Trust, Keputusan Pembelian AbstractThis study aims to determine the Influence of Price and Brand Trust on Purchasing Decision at Sinergy Celular Medan. The sample in this study is all visitors Sinergy Celular Medan as many as 77 people.Data collection technique used is through questionnaire (questionnaire) that is by distributing questionnaires to the sample (respondent) and collect it back. Data analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression. Before the data is diregresikan then first in the test the relationship between variables, the data tested using the test of data normality, multicollinearity, and heterokedastisitas. And to know the contribution of price factors and Brand Trust Against Purchase Decision is used the formula Coefficient of Determination (R2). Research hypothesis accepted if t arithmetic> t table with significance level 0,1. The value of t table in this study is 1,993. Value t arithmetic variable X1 of 2.107 t arithmetic greater than t table then the hypothesis received, the value of t arithmetic variable X2 of 3.405 t arithmetic greater than t table then the hypothesis received. Keywords: Price, Brand Trust, Purchase Decision

The object in this research are property and real estate companies listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) for the period 2013-2015. The sample is selected by purposive sampling method. There are 42 companies selected as sample. Data used in this research is a secondary data such as audited financial reports. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The result of this research shows that company’s size, profitability, and solvability have no influence on audit delay, while the size of accounting firm has significant positive influences on audit delay. The result also shows that company’s size, profitability, solvability, and the size of of the accounting firm simultaneously influence audit delay. Keywords: audit delay, company’s size, profitability, solvability, size the accounting firm

Tax evasion is a tax deductible scheme that is owed by violating the provisions of taxation (illegal). Tax evasion is usually done by the company by making false invoices, not recording some sales, or preparing fake financial statements, but the practice of tax evasion like this is often caught, thus the mode of tax evasion is now changing. Perception is the response of something or is the process of knowing some things through the senses. This research is interested to prove the perception of the students of economics faculty regarding the tax evasion, where these students have received taxation class and practice. This study uses questionnaires to obtain students perception data, and use purposive sampling in obtaining sample research. Data analysis technique used is multiple-linear regression. The result of research shows that only discrimination variables affect the tax evasion based on the perception of the students of economics faculty, while the variables of justice, taxation system and understanding of taxation do not affect tax evasion based on the perception of the students of Economics Faculty, Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya University.
