Sharing practices are an important part of urban life. This article examines the appropriation of alleys as communal space to understand how sharing practices are embedded in localities, how communal space is constituted and maintained, and how this sustains communal life. In this way, the article aims to understand the spatial dimension of sharing practices, and the role of communal space in strengthening social relationship networks and urban sustainability. Seowon Maeul and Samdeok Maeul in Seoul are compared in terms of their urban regeneration approaches, community engagement in planning, street improvement, and the consequences that the transformation had on the appropriation of alleys as communal space. The research findings show that community engagement in planning is as important as the provision of public space if streets are to be appropriated as communal space. Community engagement has changed residents' perception and use of alleys as a shared resource in the neighbourhood by improving their capacity to act collectively and collaborate with other stakeholders in addressing problems and opportunities in cities.

AbstractThe Psychosocial Attention Network (RAPS) consists of services and devices designed to overcome the asylum logic, prioritizing, among other aspects, the exercise of citizenship and social insertion of people with mental disorders. In this scenario, it is understood that the Multiprofessional Residency in Mental Health is relevant to the qualification process of the services, regarding the strengthening of the psychosocial care network, to the integral attention and qualification of the practices of health service workers. The objective of this study was to understand the conceptions of the first group of the Multiprofessional Residency in Mental Health of Paraíba regarding the mental health care provided in the RAPS of João Pessoa and Cabedelo. It is a descriptive-exploratory research, developed in the qualitative approach, carried out with 8 residents. A semi-structured interview was used, and for its interpretation, content analysis was followed. The results indicated, from the residents' reports, weaknesses concerning worker devaluation and mental health and precarious working conditions, for example, relevant difficulties that are in disagreement with the proposals of the new psychosocial care model and the Brazilian psychiatric reform. However, the research findings also highlighted the potential of RAPS and the important contributions of residents in these services, which are in line with the assumptions of care anchored in psychosocial care, such as the assignment of professionals identified with mental health and practices of residents who favored the empowerment, autonomy and protagonism of users. Keywords: Psychosocial Attention Network; Multiprofessional Residence; Mental health.

This study aims to find the speech styles used by Bagas as the main character in Pakai Hati The Series when he talked to his colleagues, clients, and supervisors.  In conducting this study, I used the theory of speech styles by Chaer and Agustina (2010), standard Indonesian characteristics by Prihantini (2015) and Kridalaksana (2007), social dimension by Holmes (2017), and status by Brown and Attardo (2005) as the theoretical framework. This study employed a qualitative approach. From the analysis, I found that Bagas used the consultative style, casual style, and intimate style when talking to his colleagues, clients, and bosses. He also used the formal style towards his clients, but he did not use the frozen style when talking to his interlocutors. This study showed that Bagas did not differentiate his speech style merely based on status since there were some other factors that might affect his choice of speech style, namely: habit or personality, type or context of the conversation, and social distance. Keywords: speech styles, status, web series

AbstractA brief review of research findings regarding twins living apart is presented. This review is followed by a look into the lives of a pair of monozygotic male twins who have lived in different continents for many years, but who stay closely connected. The reasons behind their decision and its impact on their behavioral resemblance and social relationship quality are examined. The next section summarizes recent studies that address the management of monochorionic-diamniotic twin pregnancies, paternity testing in multiple pregnancies, trisomies in twin pregnancies and the roots of resilience. The final portion of this article presents human-interest stories involving reunited Brazilian twins, a new resource for twins with disabled co-twins, twins separated in the Secret of the Nile television series, a new book about Dr Josef Mengele and his horrific twin experiments conducted at the Auschwitz–Birkenau concentration camp, and a pair of twins dedicated to helping others.

The widespread adoption of research findings by the farming community has traditionally been challenging. Addressing this challenge is a priority as the products of research often aid and underpin the implementation of environmental objectives to ensure that natural resources are used in a sustainable manner. One approach to tackling this challenge is to develop products that are tailored to meet the needs of the users. The Analytical Irrigation Model (AIM, a software tool) was developed with the intention of creating a field-tool to assist farmers to improve their management of border-check irrigation. Using AIM as a case study, this paper demonstrates the value of using a qualitative approach in assessing potential users of research findings, and understanding their requirements. While developing AIM, anecdotal feedback suggested that widespread adoption of the envisaged research products, namely a field-tool, was unlikely. The qualitative study found that service providers to the dairy industry were likely to be the primary users of products of the AIM research. From conducting this qualitative study, service providers identified 4 types of research products that would suit their needs. Incorporating their perspectives enabled the development of products that were more likely to be adopted and consequently increased the effective targeting of the AIM research findings.
