Pancasila (five basic principles) serves as the way of life of Indonesian people its first principle regulates the divine values and it is in line with kerik salamat (safety and blessing) which manifests the Islamic values in the cultures and custom in Sumbawa. Kerik salamat is Islamic values living in the society since it is a mirror of the ideal of cultural law of the society. In the nation spirit theory, a law should be born from the nation/society spirits. Good quality regulations should posses three basic principles: juridical, sociological, and philosophical. The value of kerik salamat from an Islamic epistemological dimension spreads in the whole life of the community so that their level of religiousity, karabat (kinship) and saling sating (respect one another) may be maintained sustainably by the people of Sumbawa. Kerik salamat as a norm of life in people of Sumbawa should be recognized and protected because it is a morror of the ideal of law of the people to maintain a harmony so that the value og kinship, and respect among the members of the people may be maintained to keep the oneness and togatherness and also the shame culture (ila). Thi guides them in a strong social tie and legal construction which is full of the values of kinship to keep the existence of the community, and the life pattern in line with the expectation of Gods blessings in the ideal of the law in the people of Sumbawa.

This chapter is dedicated to a particular culture relating to the way one might ideally lead one's life in line with ancient practices and views. The trend in question, which developed in Padua in the first half of the Cinquecento, was promoted by such humanists as Pietro Bembo, Alvise Cornaro and Marco Mantova Benavides. Exceptional connoisseurs of the mores and values of antiquity, these intellectuals personally supervised and directed the building of their homes. Following the model of Hadrian's villa at Tivoli, the complexes of these Paduan residences comprised dwelling areas, pavilions, large gardens and the installation of fountains, statues and rare plants. Inspired by literary sources, the ideal of recreating the ‘ancient’ way of life, in which music played a crucial role, was revived.

Malvern, a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, was turned into a designated area for affordable housing during its transformation into a modern community in the late 20thcentury. Any positive connotation that was once attached to ‘affordable housing’ as an idyllic space for hard-working residents quickly disappeared, however, and Malvern has repeatedly been labeled one of Toronto’s most dangerous neighbourhoods, in dire need of improvement. In this essay, I borrow from Omi and Winant (2015) to argue that the neighbourhood of Malvern is a racial project – that is, Malvern’s representations assign meaning to race, created not only through racist and classist planning, but also through the ways that Malvern is shared in the larger public, through media representations of Malvern, and the complex experiences and realities of its residents. Populated almost entirely by visible minorities, the mapping of criminal deviance alongside racialized individuals has ensured that Malvern and its residents continue to be marred by stigma and stereotypes, leaving residents feeling conflicted with internalized and arguably perverse understandings of themselves, and without the necessary support that disadvantaged neighbourhoods should receive. Today, Malvern is the product of purposeful, structural violence, with the people of Malvern perceived as lacking the civility to maintain the ideal space that was created for them. Using the work of Henri Lefebvre, this paper provides a detailed analysis of the way that Malvern was conceived and perceived to exist and the way that it continues to be lived as a racial project. Malvern, like other inner-city neighbourhoods in North America, has remained at a disadvantage since its inception. In this essay, I explore how the perception of Malvern came to be and how first-hand experiences within Malvern’s borders differ from those which are negatively portrayed in the media.

The Penal Code of Indonesia as the heritage of Colonial Regime, in some instances is not in line with the people of Indonesia. One of them is that the article 284 concerning the prohibition of adultery, that has difference in concept with the values owned by Indonesian people. Therefore, there should be a breakthrough that the article adopts contemporary condition and be in line with the way of life of the people of Indonesia, especially related the first pillar of Pancasila, that is believe in one God.   The purpose of this article is to discuss and convey the idea of the existence of Emergency Law No. 1 of 1951 concerning Temporary Measures in Organizing the Unity of the power and procedure of Civil Courts as supplementation of the article 284 of the Penal Code. This research applied normative juridical method and applicable law approach. The result of this study finds that Article 284 of the Penal Code could basically be accepted as one of the offense entities, but it is considered as lack Indonesia's spirit, even some consider that it not as a form of values in Indonesia people. The compliance between the law and the nation’s spirit is very important because the nation’s spirit is a source of material law that creates people’s legal awareness, as a guideline for law enforcement, as well as a source of the people’s law obidience. Considering the weaknesses and limitations of the article 284 of Penal Code in regulating adultery and the controversy of several articles in the draft Criminal Code which ended by the suspension of enactment and implementation, the Emergency Law No. 1 of 1951 can be enforced as supplementation of th article 284 of the Penal Code in order to maintain the balance and order in the society
