The advertising sector is immersed in a period of change in various ways, from a structural level to the type of insertions to be made in the media. Methodologically, the qualitative Delphi technique is applied herein, being the most recommended prospective approach for such emerging research topics. It is concluded that the key factors that define the advertising sector are digital transformation and the business model, to include three years from now, personalization, automation, and programming. Social networks are rising to become the communication channel that most uses advertising, and strategy stands out among the knowledge, skills, and competences that the advertising professional must obtain in the future.

AbstractTransportation problem (TP) is a popular branch of Linear Programming Problem in the field of Transportation engineering. Over the years, attempts have been made in finding improved approaches to solve the TPs. Recently, in Quddoos et al. (Int J Comput Sci Eng (IJCSE) 4(7): 1271–1274, 2012), an efficient approach, namely ASM, is proposed for solving crisp TPs. However, it is found that ASM fails to provide better optimal solution in some cases. Therefore, a new and efficient ASM appoach is proposed in this paper to enhance the inherent mechanism of the existing ASM method to solve both crisp TPs and Triangular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Transportation Problems (TIFTPs). A least-looping stepping-stone method has been employed as one of the key factors to improve the solution quality, which is an improved version of the existing stepping-stone method (Roy and Hossain in, Operation research Titus Publication, 2015). Unlike stepping stone method, least-looping stepping-stone method only deals with few selected non-basic cells under some prescribed conditions and hence minimizes the computational burden. Therefore, the framework of the proposed method (namely LS-ASM) is a combination of ASM (Quddoos et al. 2012) and least-looping stepping-stone approach. To validate the performance of LS-ASM, a set of six case studies and a real-world problem (those include both crisp TPs and TIFTPs) have been solved. The statistical results obtained by LS-ASM have been well compared with the existing popular modified distribution (MODI) method and the original ASM method, as well. The statistical results confirm the superiority of the LS-ASM over other compared algorithms with a less computationl effort.

The instability of iron artefacts is rooted in salt contamination during burial and damages associated with exposure to alternative oxygen levels and high relative humidity once excavated. While a combination of chemical and mechanical treatments is utilised to remove the harmful ions (chlorides, sulphur species) and excess bulky corrosion products, these methods can be hazardous for conservation staff’s health, have limited success, or require extensive treatment times. Bio-based treatments provide a potentially greener alternative for removing damaging corrosion and creating biogenic mineral passivation layers, thus remediating concerns over costs, duration, and health and safety. Pseudomonas putida mt-2 (KT2440) is capable of utilising iron under certain conditions and for phosphating mild steel; however, applications have not been made in the cultural heritage sector. To address the potential of using bacteria for conservation purposes, Pseudomonas was assessed for both the bioremediation of salt contaminates and the production of a passivation layer suitable for iron artefacts, with specific conservation concerns in mind. Key factors for optimisation include the role of agitation, chloride content, and oxygen content on bacterial growth and biomineralisation. The initial results indicate a growth preference, not reliance, for NaCl and agitation with partial success of bioconversion of a mineral source.

Prior research on ERP assimilation has primarily focused on influential factors at the organizational level. In this study, the authors attempt to extend their understanding of individual level ERP assimilation from the perspective of social network theory. They designed a multi-case study to explore the relations between ERP users' social networks and their levels of ERP assimilation based on the three dimensions of the social networks. The authors gathered data through interviews with 26 ERP users at different levels in five companies. Qualitative analysis was used to understand the effects of social networks and interactive learning. They found that users' social networks play a significant role in individual level ERP assimilation through interactive learning among users. They also found five key factors that facilitate users' assimilation of ERP knowledge: homophily (age, position and rank), tie content (instrumental and expressive ties), tie strength, external ties, and centrality.

BackgroundSuicide prevention strategies are usually formulated without seeking the views of people with psychiatric illnesses.AimsTo establish what helped patients with severe psychiatric illness when they felt suicidal.MethodA semi-structured interview was constructed following transcribed interviews with 12 patients. This was administered to 59 out-patients with serious and enduring mental illness, focusing on factors they found helpful or unhelpful when at their most despairing.ResultsThree-quarters of patients were in contact with psychiatric services when feeling at their lowest, and this contact was generally deemed to be helpful. Social networks were considered just as helpful as psychiatric services by the half of patients who discussed their feelings with friends or relatives. Religious beliefs and affiliations were helpful. Negative influences included the media and the stigma of psychiatric illness.ConclusionsEfforts at suicide prevention might usefully focus on enhancing patients' social networks, increasing the likelihood of early contact with psychiatric services and decreasing the stigma attached to psychiatric illness. Larger studies of patients exposed to different service models would be informative.

The article aims to outline the transformation in the functioning of modern democracy as a form of government, to explore the influence of modern media on the mechanisms of its implementation. The issue is raised about the preservation of its fundamental principles during the information revolution (primarily in the media sphere) and changes in the forms and methods of communication of people during political interaction. The model of „monitoring democracy” was chosen as the theoretical and conceptual basis for considering these processes, which is based on the „idea of a monitoring citizen” and which is caused by rapid growth of various extra-parliamentary (non-representative) mechanisms of government. Among them, the most important for us is the rapid development of media instruments, namely social networks. The imperative of elections, political parties and parliamentary life, typical for representative democracy over the last two centuries of the history of civilization, is now far behind the capacity of other actors of public life to influence the political decisions of citizens. The author also points to the fact that technology companies, which have concentrated both information − microtargeting supply of information based on psychological profiling, and business activities, demonstrate a new phenomenon, which is assessed by citizens as the most competent and ethical center of gravity and trust. At the same time, governments, independent public institutions and traditional media are perceived as less effective and ethical. Such a concentration of information and corporate influence in one actor (a small group of technology companies) is a new challenge for democracy. Respectively, basic principles that ensure its functioning as the most successful form of government, namely − election and control of power, protection of human rights, participation of citizens in political life and governance, rule of law and accountability of government agencies, prevention of usurpation of power – nowadays experience theoretical rethinking, and are embodied in new political practices. In addition, they (foundations of democracy) are torpedoed by negative phenomena of the period of transformation and political turbulence, among which populism in all its manifestations is the most threatening. В период борьбы с коронавирусом в Китае, благодаря большой степени информационного и эмоционального воздействия, распространение получили плакаты. В рамках данного исследования было проанализировано более 70 плакатов и постеров, опубликованных в СМИ и социальных сетях. Целью данного исследования является рассмотрение особенностей визуальной метафоры китайских плакатов, в частности анализ возможности корреляции иероглифа с семиотическим пространством плаката. In the period of fighting the coronavirus in China, posters became widespread due to a large degree of informational and emotional impact. As part of this study, more than 70 posters published in the media and social networks were analyzed. The purpose of this study is to examine the features of the visual metaphor of Chinese posters, in particular, to analyze the possibility of correlating a Chinese character with the semiotic space of a poster.

This work analyzes the impact of the outbreak of hemorrhagic fever caused by the Ebola virus in Spain in the field of communication. The communication of such a crisis entails an interaction of information between individuals and institutions. Accuracy in the messages that are disseminated is key to the good resolution of the crisis. In this case of the Ebola crisis the impact in the Spanish media was very remarkable not only of the evolution of the crisis but also of the public information that were being made known by the authorities. The errors committed in this public communication, especially in the first institutional appearance, will be analyzed and possible solutions will be provided for future crises. In addition, the information behavior that was given in social networks by the authorities will be analyzed. To perform this work, bibliographical sources, data analysis and the media have been used.

The communication of the Coronavirus crisis in Spain has two unexpected components: the rise of the information on social networks, especially WhatsApp, and the consolidation of TV programs on mystery and esotericism. Both have emerged to “tell the truth” in opposition to official sources and public media. For a country with a long history of treating science and the media as properties of the state, this very radical development has surprised communication scholars.

Mad fylder mere i medierne, men hvordan underholder fx et madprogram på tv? Med afsæt i de 13 afsnit af Claus Meyer-serien Smag på Danmark! undersøger vi, hvordan serien er konstrueret og fortalt. Især ser vi på, hvilken rolle de 13 forskellige steder, som serien foregår på, har. Vi diskuterer begreber som terroir og mytologisering. Serien etablerer dobbeltheder og relationer, og i tråd med dette forlenes sted som terroir både med al og med ingen betydning. Mad knyttes som et tegn, med Barthes in mente, til stedet, men på en måde, der leverer rum for seerens eget forestillingsarbejde. Serien demonstrerer for seerne, hvordan smagsdomme kan foregå med Meyer som seerens stedfortræder i et ferie- og fritidsunivers. Den nydelse, som serien konstant etablerer, demonstrerer og anticiperer, kan seeren deltage i med sit eget fantasiarbejde: Det er god underholdning, fordi så meget er overladt til seernes forestillingsarbejde. Food, Terroir, and Television: Taste Denmark! Food has become more dominant in the media landscape, but how does a food programme on television entertain us? We analyse how the 13 episodes of the Claus Meyer series Smag på Danmark (Taste Denmark!)are constructed and narrated. We pay particular attention to the different locations of the episodes and discuss the terms terroir and mythologization. The series establishes ambiguities and relations, and in this connection the location understood as terroir means everything – and at the same time means nothing at all. With reference to Barthes, the series links food as a sign to location, but in such a way that room is left for the viewer’s own imagination. The series demonstrates to the viewers how judgements of taste can be made in a time of leisure and a universe of holidays, with Meyer acting as the viewer’s proxy. The series is constantly establishing, demonstrating and anticipating a pleasure in which the viewer can participate in his or her own imagination. This makes excellent entertainment because so much is left to be worked through in the viewer’s own imagination.
