The ability to move on different types of soils is one of the main indicators of the efficiency of mobile vehicles in off-road conditions. The movement of such special mobile machines is carried out due to the interaction of the propulsion with the support surface. Therefore, significant reserves to increase productivity and reduce the cost of technological and transport works are laid in reducing energy consumption when the engine interacts with the surface. On the process of interaction of the wheel drive with the deformable support surface it is established that the parameters of this interaction depend on a number of factors: normal load, angular velocity and torque. In the General case, the parameters of interaction of each engine change when changing the mode of movement of the wheeled vehicle, and the ability to change the air pressure in the tires when driving on different support surfaces allows to increase the performance of the wheeled vehicle In the study of the caterpillar, it was found that the pitch of the caterpillar, the stiffness of the caterpillar, the angular stiffness of two adjacent tracks, reducing the pitch of the caterpillar chain, reducing the stiffness of the caterpillar, increasing the angular stiffness of two adjacent tracks, affect the efficiency of the machine. The scientific novelty of the study is to develop a method of choosing the engine of a special mobile machine that works off-road, in the process of its design. Wheel or crawler solutions will mainly determine the performance and efficiency of special purpose vehicles. The choice of engine for special mobile machines is based on a set of criteria. The criteria determine the importance of the implementation of the tasks in relation to the efficiency of functioning. Knowing the sowing capacity of the soil, and taking into account the possibility of movement of a particular special mobile machine depending on the type of soil, you can choose one or another type of engine.

Abstrak Agribisnis karet saat ini sedang mengalami kondisi yang kurang menguntungkan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh menurunnya harga karet beberapa tahun terakhir serta meningkatnya biaya produksi terutama biaya penyadapan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan dan dapat menjadi suatu pemikiran adalah dengan melakukan penundaan buka sadap tanaman karet. Tulisan ini mengkaji penundaan buka sadap tanaman karet dengan dua pendekatan yaitu: penundaan buka sadap tanaman karet dengan merubah kriteria matang sadap pohon dari 45 cm menjadi 50 cm; dan penundaan buka sadap tanaman karet dengan merubah kriteria persentase matang sadap kebun. Analisis menggunakan data percobaan Lukman (1979; 1980), Samuel et al. (2012), Hendratno dan Amypalupy (2008), dan Nugraha et al. (2015). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penundaan buka sadap dengan merubah lilit batang dari 45 cm menjadi 50 cm dapat meningkatkan produktivitas per penyadap. Penundaan buka sadap hingga lilit batang mencapai 50 cm akan ekonomis dengan pemilihan klon yang memiliki produktivitas awal yang tinggi. Untuk  menunda buka sadap dari lilit batang 45 cm menjadi 50 cm diperlukan waktu 6-12 bulan tergantung kerapatan tanaman dan jenis klon. Kriteria matang sadap kebun yang berbeda sesuai jenis klon dan perubahan harga masih menguntungkan secara ekonomis. Perlu kajian yang lebih luas mengenai penundaan buka sadap. Kata kunci: karet, buka sadap, penundaan Abstract Currently, agribusiness of rubber is experiencing unfavorable condition. This is due to the declining of rubber price in the last few years as well as increasing of cost of production especially the cost of tapping. An effort that could be done was by delaying the opening of rubber. This paper examines the delay in opening of rubber with two approaches, i.e. delaying of rubber opening by changing the criteria of tree maturity for tapping  from 45 cm to 50 cm; and delaying of rubber opening by changing the criteria for the percentage of mature tree. Analysis was conducted using the data of Lukman (1979;1980), Samuel et al. (2012), Hendratno and Amypalupy (2008), and Nugraha et al. (2015). The results showed that the delay of opening by changing the girth of 45 cm to 50 cm could increase productivity per tapper. Delaying of opening until reaching the girth of 50 cm will be economical with the selection of clones that have high initial productivity. To delay opening from the girth of 45 cm to 50 cm took 6-12 months depending on the density of the plants and clones. Criteria of field tapping maturity to suit different types of clones and price changes are still economically viable. A broader study on the delaying of rubber opening was needed. IBM PC compatible computers are widely used in microscopy for applications ranging from control to image acquisition and analysis. The choice of IBM-PC based systems over competing computer platforms can be based on technical merit alone or on a number of factors relating to economics, availability of peripherals, management dictum, or simple personal preference.IBM-PC got a strong “head start” by first dominating clerical, document processing and financial applications. The use of these computers spilled into the laboratory where the DOS based IBM-PC replaced mini-computers. Compared to minicomputer, the PC provided a more for cost-effective platform for applications in numerical analysis, engineering and design, instrument control, image acquisition and image processing. In addition, the sitewide use of a common PC platform could reduce the cost of training and support services relative to cases where many different computer platforms were used. This could be especially true for the microscopists who must use computers in both the laboratory and the office.


The article deals with the distribution of agricultural periodicals on the territory of the Russian Em-pire in the early twentieth century. Before that there were practically no publications on the pages of sci-entific magazines. Great emphasis is placed on the analysis of agricultural magazines published before 1917 in the Upper Volga region, namely in Vladimir, Kostroma, Tver and Yaroslavl provinces. Thanks to existed in pre-revolutionary Russian periodicals on agricultural subjects advanced knowledge of agron-omy, agriculture, soil science, horticulture, fruit growing, vegetable growing, winemaking, viticulture, 135 tobacco growing, livestock, poultry, bee-keeping, veterinary medicine, forestry, and hunting, land man-agement, irrigation, horse breeding were promoted. On the basis of statistical data, office documentation and other published sources, the author draws conclusions about the degree of accessibility of agricul-tural periodicals for the population, including the peasantry. Availability of agricultural periodicals largely depended on its price, so the author studied the situation with the cost of the annual subscription fee of these publications. The article investigates the issues of periodicity of agricultural magazines and newspapers, the exact number of such publications, as well as their subject matter. Existence duration of different types of periodicals is analyzed, the main publishers of magazines and newspapers, places of their publication are revealed. A prominent place is given to the publishing activities of agricultural pub-lic organizations and zemstvo self-government bodies. It is concluded that natural process of agricultural knowledge distribution among the population of Russia through publications on the pages of periodicals was disrupted by revolutionary events of 1917.

Background: In recent years, the Design of Experiments (DOE) is used for removing pollutant from wastewater by nano-adsorbent. Some methods are Taguchi, Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and factorial design. The aim of this paper is to review different used methods of DOE in removing pollutant to suggest some notations to scholars. Methods: The reviewed papers were searched in Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science randomly and categorized based on DOE methods. Results: Number of factors and responses in DOE for removing pollutants from wastewater are between 2-6 and 1-4, respectively. There are several computer software programs that provide simple use of these methods, such as Qualitek, Design Expert, Minitab, R and Matlab Programming. All models have a coefficient of determination R-sq more than 0.9. Conclusion: All the mentioned methods are appropriate because of the high R-sq value. Since the largest number of runs are used in RSM, it is not suitable for the experiments which are conducted by expensive materials and process. Furthermore, Design Expert and Minitab are the most popular software used by scholars in DOE methods for the removal of pollutant.

The use of anti-forensic techniques is a very common practice that stealthy adversaries may deploy to minimise their traces and make the investigation of an incident harder by evading detection and attribution. In this paper, we study the interaction between a cyber forensic Investigator and a strategic Attacker using a game-theoretic framework. This is based on a Bayesian game of incomplete information played on a multi-host cyber forensics investigation graph of actions traversed by both players. The edges of the graph represent players’ actions across different hosts in a network. In alignment with the concept of Bayesian games, we define two Attacker types to represent their ability of deploying anti-forensic techniques to conceal their activities. In this way, our model allows the Investigator to identify the optimal investigating policy taking into consideration the cost and impact of the available actions, while coping with the uncertainty of the Attacker’s type and strategic decisions. To evaluate our model, we construct a realistic case study based on threat reports and data extracted from the MITRE ATT&CK STIX repository, Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), and interviews with cyber-security practitioners. We use the case study to compare the performance of the proposed method against two other investigative methods and three different types of Attackers.

This paper proposed a scheme design for Sydney’s frontport check-in system, which completes check-in and baggage drop-off at Sydney’s Circular Quay, and transports the baggage to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport by waterway, and provided a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis of Sydney’s frontport check-in system. Using the process method of quality management, the frontport check-in process was divided into three sub-processes: baggage consignment, baggage packing and transportation, and airport baggage handling. The eight key elements of each sub-process such as input, output, resources, and methods, etc. were discussed, the key factors influencing the cost of baggage transportation were analyzed, and the cost control measures such as adopting economic speed, reducing fuel consumption of the main engine, improving the ship loading rate, and raising loading and unloading efficiency were proposed. At the same time, two different types of baggage transportation ships and other parameters that affect the cost such as the number of berths, ships, lifting machineries, and the yard area were analyzed and calculated through calculation cases. This scheme is a beneficial addition to the existing in-town check-in system.

Abstract The tribological properties of proppant particle sliding on shale rock determine the shale gas production. This work focuses on investigating the impacts of sliding speed on the coefficient of friction (COF) and wear of the silica ball-shale rock contact, which was lubricated by water or different types of polyacrylamide (PAM) aqueous or brine solution. The experimental results show that both boundary and mixed lubrication occur under specific speed and normal load. COF and wear depth of shale rock under water are higher than those under PAM solution due to superior lubrication of PAM. COF of shale rock under PAM brine solution increases and the wear of the rock is more serious, attributed to the corrosion of shale rock and adverse effect on lubrication of PAM by brine.

Elevated atmospheric CO2 concentration (e[CO2]) can stimulate the photosynthesis and productivity of C3 species including food and forest crops. Intraspecific variation in responsiveness to e[CO2] can be exploited to increase productivity under e[CO2]. However, active selection of genotypes to increase productivity under e[CO2] is rarely performed across a wide range of germplasm, because of constraints of space and the cost of CO2 fumigation facilities. If we are to capitalise on recent advances in whole genome sequencing, approaches are required to help overcome these issues of space and cost. Here, we discuss the advantage of applying prescreening as a tool in large genome×e[CO2] experiments, where a surrogate for e[CO2] was used to select cultivars for more detailed analysis under e[CO2] conditions. We discuss why phenotypic prescreening in population-wide screening for e[CO2] responsiveness is necessary, what approaches could be used for prescreening for e[CO2] responsiveness, and how the data can be used to improve genetic selection of high-performing cultivars. We do this within the framework of understanding the strengths and limitations of genotype–phenotype mapping.

The present study was designed to examine the monitoring performance of operators in a complex environment requiring concurrent monitoring of multiple displays with different types of critical signals. Participants performed a manual flight task concurrently with three monitoring tasks over three separate 2-hour sessions. The monitoring tasks required operators to detect deviations in the gauge, mode, and digital readout portions of a simulated EICAS display. Results indicated that while performance on the primary flight task degraded within each session, monitoring performance remained constant. Further, intrasession monitoring performance did not degrade across trials. These findings suggest that vigilance performance for complex displays may be influenced by a number of factors including compensatory strategies related to mental effort regulation, the complexity of monitoring task demands, the duration of the monitoring session, and the nature of additional operator responsibilities.

In this paper, a logic selectivity system based on Long Range (LoRa) technology for the protection of medium-voltage (MV) networks is proposed. The development of relays that communicate with each other using LoRa allows for the combination of the cost-effectiveness and ease of installation of wireless networks with long-range coverage and reliability. The realized demonstrator to assess the proposed system is also presented in the paper; based on different types of faults and different locations, the times needed for clearing a fault and restoring the network were estimated from repeated experiments. The obtained results confirm that, with an optimized design of transmitted packets and of protocol characteristics, LoRa communication grants fault management that meets the criteria of logic selectivity, with fault isolation occurring within the maximum allowed time.
