Have been described the role of the scientific method of cognition and the role of scientific knowledge in the educational sphere in the period of Modern philosophy. Have been determined the role of the empirical method and the theoretical method in experiments in order to gain new knowledge and test hypotheses. Considered the role of scientific societies and academies as centers of development of scientific knowledge. Have been determined that the expansion of knowledge through the improvement of the scientific method has led to the need for changes in principles of education. Are described the demonstrations of physical experiments for educational purposes in universities and academies. Have been described the physical experiments on the example of a lecture of Jacques Rohault and Pierre Poliniere. The contribution of Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes, Isaac Newton in the study of the effectiveness and objectivity of the scientific method in research is described. Was considered that scientific research was made with the aim of practical efficiency for human life, and not as a self-goal. Knowledge and education should be formed based on the inductive method. The main ideas of the work "Reflections on the method" are considered as the publication of tipping point in the formation of Modern philosophy. Have been described the main ideas of 21 rules of application the scientific method in researches in this publication. Have been determined that in the Modern philosophy period science had a direct impact on education, as well-known representatives of science popularized and involved in their research students and young scientists through educational institutions. At this time, education has become an instrument of human socialization, so well-known educators of this period emphasized to the need of early child development (John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau) and the universality of education (Jan Amos Comenius). It is determined that the application of the scientific method in the research activities of period of Modern philosophy is inextricably linked with their pedagogical practice. In this way it has led to active improvement and structuring of scientific methods, and to involving more young minds in scientific research and investigations. Which was a background to the germination of the next period of Classical Philosophy of Science

The article deals with the issue of organizing "multi-layer" reading at the literature lesson. A reader’s practice is proposed, where a hermeneutical approach is implemented, which allows to identify the socio-philosophical dominant of the text and on its basis to comprehend the architectonics of the poem. On the example of studying the poem by R.I. Rozhdestvensky “The Plane left” in the 9th grade, the author shows the evolution of the reader: from variants of everyday understanding of the meaning of the word “fight” to the sociophilosophical level. Going beyond the limits of the studied work allows us to judge the author’s worldview and compare it with the views of other poets of the sixties, which contributes to the development of interpretive abilities of ninth-graders. The poetics of R.I. Rozhdestvensky’s poems is mastered by means of commented reading, which reveals information gaps in the text, and lingo-poetic analysis, which reveals the figurative structure based on the antithesis. The inductive method of comprehending meaning focuses students’ attention on non-linear connections (contextual synonyms, parallelisms) that arise when comparing the semantic dominant with the information flows in the text of the ballad. Successive synesthetic images are transforming the whole complex of realistic paintings in the final symbol of romantic ballads that promotes awareness of the philosophical problem of the significance and fragility of human life, the difficulty of the trials that befell the man of the second half of the twentieth century. In this analysis, it becomes possible to identify significant semantic “nodes” for interpreting the work. The final “convolution” of information about the text of R.I. Rozhdestvensky’s occurs in the interpretive activity of schoolchildren who correlate this work with the work of R.I. Rozhdestvensky’s, which allows us to identify the constancy of his beliefs throughout his life and the dynamics of changes in leitmotif images-symbols in his work. Comparison of the role of socio-philosophical dominant in the work of poets of the sixties contributes to the students’ comprehension of the philosophical category of unity of diversity on the example of literature. Reading practice, combining the relationship between the figurative and logical in the presentation of material and the technological nature of the educational process, provides students with a certain degree of freedom to philosophize in the classroom, and the teacher is guaranteed for the effectiveness of its use.

AbstractThe scientific method can be described as a multistep and detailed process, in which finding the best question is the first and most crucial step. Thus, scientific problem should be examined thoroughly in different ways and perspectives. The amount and diversity of scientific data are enormously increasing and becoming more specific day by day, therefore traditional observational biology is not sufficient on an individual basis to understand and treat multifactorial diseases. Moreover, protocols, documentations, information, outcomes, precisions, and considerations of evidence should be improved to answer scientific questions correctly during the scientific research. Because of the diversity of the data and the methods, statisticians and methodologists should be involved and contribute to the all stages of research. Besides that, all scientific data should be certainly reproducible and repeatable. Scientific knowledge is in a state of flux and becomes more complex day by day. Thus, becoming a competent scientist needs, abilities and skills such as creativity, hardworking and self-discipline that all requires lifelong learning, searching, and widening scientific horizons consistently.

AbstractThis article engages the much-debated role of mathematics in Bacon's philosophy and inductive method at large. The many references to mathematics in Bacon's works are considered in the context of the humanist reform of the curriculum studiorum and, in particular, through a comparison with the kinds of natural and intellectual subtlety as they are defined by many sixteenth-century authors, including Cardano, Scaliger and Montaigne. Additionally, this article gives a nuanced background to the ‘subtlety’ commonly thought to have been eschewed by Bacon and by Bacon's self-proclaimed followers in the Royal Society of London. The aim of this article is ultimately to demonstrate that Bacon did not reject the use of mathematics in natural philosophy altogether. Instead, he hoped that following the Great Instauration a kind of non-abstract mathematics could be founded: a kind of mathematics which was to serve natural philosophy by enabling men to grasp the intrinsic subtlety of nature. Rather than mathematizing nature, it was mathematics that needed to be ‘naturalized’.

Abstract A quantitative model of human knowledge of the physical world based on the use of various parts of the electromagnetic spectrum is proposed. The model is epistemologically effective in demonstrating limits to what scientific knowledge can provide us about the physical world, thus enhancing for students the potentially exploratory opportunities available in scientific research, based on how little we really know. Additionally, the model provides a pedagogically useful way to engage students in considerations of the role of measurement, scale and estimation; these features are urgently needed by many students according to international assessments and are particularly important for non-science majors.

The methodology deals with the methods of acquiring scientific knowledge, i.e. all aspects of scientific research as a method of gaining scientific knowledge about phenomena and processes. Scientific method enables gaining scientific knowledge by applying a series of principles, rules and procedures. Every research includes several general scientific methods. Hypothetical-deductive scientific method of acquiring knowledge and modeling method characterize empirical research, while comparative and analytical-deductive methods are applied in theoretical research. It is impossible to carry out research without a data collection method. Therefore, it is necessary to precisely define the methods, techniques and instruments that will be applied in research to gain new scientific knowledge.
