The laboratory has an important role in the teaching and learning process. The laboratory with all its materials and equipments is a place that has the potential to cause danger for humans and the environment. Laboratory safety and security management are the responsibility of both the laboratory assistant and laboratory user. Based on the initial survey, the school already has a science laboratory but the tools and materials are poorly organized and poorly administered. The method used in this community service were socialization about the organization and administration of laboratory, socialization about safety and security laboratories related to the management of laboratory equipments and materials, demonstration and evaluation. In general, this community service activity ran successfully as planned. Participants in the activity were very enthusiastic and actively participated during the activity. Based on evaluation results, it was known that students' knowledge about laboratory safety and security has increased after participating in this community service.

This community service activity was held in SMA Hang Tuah 3 Mataram, NTB Province.  This school is located approximately 6 km from the location of the team. Located in the center of Mataram city. The purpose of this activity is to make the teachers in SMA Hang Tuah 3 Mataram know the ways of writing and the forms of a paper and ultimately be able to automatically express their ideas, ideas and experiences during the teaching and learning process into a scientific writing eligible to be published in an ISSN journal. The training activities were held because to the collaboration of both parties namely SMA Hang Tuah 3 Mataram and the dedication team from IKIP Mataram.

Learning media is a useful tool and intermediary for facilitating the teaching and learning process to streamline communication between teachers and students. This community service activity is divided into three main activities, namely the delivery of concepts or theories of multimedia, types of multimedia, the use of multimedia, and making presentations using practical and interactive PowerPoints tools; second, training on how to use PowerPoint effectively; and third, evaluation on the ability of training participants in making multimedia-based teaching materials.

THE IMPROVING OF ENGLISH COMPETENCE FOR LECTURERS OF FACULTY OF TEACHER TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF UNIVERSITY OF MATHLA’UL ANWAR BANTEN. This community service activity is motivated by the thought that the need for lecturers to have good competence in using English in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. With the hope that through its application, students become more enthusiastic in learning. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide scientific assistance to the lecturers of FKIP Unma Banten in using English in the teaching and learning process. While the benefits of this activity are to have a positive effect on the lecturers of FKIP Unma Banten in communicating using English in class and the increasing enthusiasm and achievement of FKIP Unma Banten students in learning.  This service activity was carried out in the form of short training for two meetings with members of 10 lecturers held in the hall of FKIP Unma Banten. The first meeting discussed the importance of English, introducing word, clause, and sentences, mastering tenses by using smart fingers technique. The second meeting was a deepening of the material followed by the practice of TOEFL questions and the practice of speaking English in everyday life with simple sentences by participants of FKIP Unma Banten lecturers. The method used in this community service activity is the lecture method, question and answer, discussion and demonstration methods. Based on observations during this community service activity, several positive results were obtained. The results of this community service are the increased insight of FKIP Unma Banten lecturers on English language material and its application in the teaching and learning process in the classroom.

The online learning system is still having problems. As a result of the observations of the USU team, several obstacles were felt not only by the teachers at MIN 2 Serdang Bedagai but also by students and parents. The problems that occur are quite diverse. Starting from limited signal, limited devices suitable for online learning, to the lack of technological knowledge of teachers and students on online applications that support the teaching and learning process. There are various online applications available today, such as Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Meet, Youtube, and others. These various online applications play an important role in helping students and teachers in the distance learning process. The USU team conducted training using the online application Google Classroom and Zoom. Google Classroom and Zoom were chosen because they are easier for the teacher to implement, besides that the two online applications facilitate coordination and communication between teachers and students, so that the material being taught can be discussed more easily, more freely and can be updated more quickly. In this community service, Online Learning training was conducted for the Elementary School / Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Level with Various Online Applications at MIN 2 Serdang Bedagai. This community service has reached the implementation stage of training which begins with the initial survey stage, provision of training modules and also training. The next stage is monitoring and evaluation and feedback.

The community service activity is aimed at providing a great command of Duolingo application for English teacher and MA Miftahul Ulum Pagendingan students where the application can be utilized as an interesting English teaching and learning tool. The method employed in this activity is training and mentoring regarding the utilization of Duolingo application through Smartphone. The activity of the service is desperately provide pedagogical commands for all participants how to teach or learn English in an interesting way that is by using Duolingo application. The participants consider that educational Duolingo application is extremely beneficial when to be utilized in English teaching and learning process in classroom.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this community service is to improve the ability of teachers to utilize information technology for online learning. The current COVID-19 pandemic has a major impact on education in Indonesia. Under these conditions, there will be a shift in the learning process from what is done in school to learning from home. One of the innovations made by the world of education during this pandemic is online learning. With this program and in the current pandemic conditions, of course SMA Negeri 5 Cimahi inevitably has to do online learning. However, online learning in secondary schools, not all students and teachers use the e-learning system synchronously in the teaching and learning process. The methods used in this service activity are in the form of training, discussions, and simulations conducted through webinars using the Zoom Meeting application. During the training, in addition to provide materials, pre-test and post-test were also given to participants. The training material was a google meet application for online learning. The result of this service activity was an increase in the ability of teachers to utilize information technology in online learning, namely synchronous e-learning using the Google Meet application. Keywords: Information technology, online learning, synchronous e-learning   ABSTRAK Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan para guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk pembelajaran online. Pandemi COVID-19 saat ini berdampak besar pada pendidikan di Indonesia. Dengan kondisi tersebut maka akan terjadi pergeseran proses pembelajaran dari apa yang dilakukan di sekolah menjadi belajar dari rumah. Salah satu inovasi yang dilakukan oleh dunia pendidikan selama pandemi ini adalah pembelajaran online. Dengan adanya program ini dan dalam kondisi pandemi saat ini tentunya SMA Negeri 5 Cimahi mau tidak mau harus melakukan pembelajaran secara online. Namun, pembelajaran online di sekolah menengah, tidak semua siswa dan guru menggunakan sistem e-learning secara sinkron dalam proses belajar mengajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan, diskusi, dan simulasi yang dilakukan melalui webinar dengan menggunakan aplikasi Zoom Meeting. Selama pelatihan, selain pemberian materi, juga diberikan pre-test dan post-test kepada peserta. Materi pelatihannya berupa aplikasi google meet untuk pembelajaran online. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran online yaitu e-learning sinkron dengan menggunakan aplikasi Google Meet. Distance learning causes teachers to think creatively so that the teaching and learning process continues as it should. In addition, various platforms and media for online learning are still not widely known by teachers. The Whatsapp application is an application that is already widely used. In this application, it is possible to form groups that can gather many people to be able to chat with each other and exchange information that allows the delivery of messages in groups besides delivering messages individually. The purpose of this service is so that teachers can make maximum use of the Whatsapp media as a distance learning facility. The method in this service of AbdiMas team took the initiative to conduct a one day coaching clinic using the Whatsapp application as a means of evaluating student learning to SIT Mush'ab bin Umair teachers. The conclusion of this dedication activity is that this community service activity is felt to be very beneficial for the SIT Mush'ab bin Umair teachers. In part, the limitations of online learning facilities and infrastructure can be overcome by using Whatsapp. The use of Whatsapp as an online exam means is considered relatively cheap with a wide reach, easy to use, especially for most of the students of SIT Mush'ab bin Umair who are still in grades 1 and 2.

This is a community service activity which was about English teaching and learning for young learners and its application in classes. The teachers of young learners needs to have knowledge about songs, games and media to teach English which is appropriate with learners’ and era’s need. Furthermore, this workshop is important to facilitate the teachers in giving the fun English materials. In this activitiy the teacher were trained to make the fun applicated media and the newest English nursery songs and games to be applied in their classes. It is hoped that this activity can facilitate the teachers in Kabupaten Pasuruan about the importantce of English learning for Young Learners, also teachers are hoped to be able to apply the fun and effective teaching learning process which is appropriate to the age and ability of the young learners and also appropriate with this era.Keywords: English teaching, teachers, workshop

This community service activity aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of  the combinatorics concepts in facing the regency-level of National Science Competition (KSN) in field of mathematics in 2021. The activity was carried out in March-April 2021 for six meetings in the form of training/coaching. The training used both discovery and drilling methods. The location of the activity was at SMAN 1 Muara Batu, North Aceh Regency with four students as the subject who have been selected at the school level and selected to participate in the KSN at the regency level. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively by direct observation to observe the improvement of the students’ comprehension during the learning process. The result obtained was an improvement of the students’ understanding of combinatorics topic. It can be seen in solving problems, the students are able to determine what concepts will be used and able to solve several KSN questions on combinatorics topic.

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdiaan masyarakat ini ialah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengelola laboratorium dalam mengelola laboratorium IPA. Kegiatan ini melibatkan peserta yakni guru-guru mata pelajaran eksakta di SMAN 1 Amuntai. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah metode kombinasi yaitu ceramah, demonstrasi, dan sosialisasi formal dengan penyampaian materi secara teoritis (ceramah) tentang pengelolaan dan manajemen laboratorium IPA, kemudian diikuti dengan praktik lapangan di laboratorium IPA. Praktek lapangan berupa kunjungan ke laboratorium IPA untuk melakukan manajeman secara langsung dalam hal tata letak dan desain laboratorium IPA. Hasil kegiatan ini ialah peserta telah memperoleh wawasan dan pengetahuan terkait manajemen, pengelolaan dan K3 laboratorium. Artinya, kegiatan ini bisa menjadi pedoman dalam meningkatkan kualitas mutu dan pengelolaan laboratorium di sekolah.  The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the skills of laboratory managers in managing the science laboratory. This activity involved the participants, the exact subject of teachers at SMAN 1 Amuntai. The method of carrying out activities carried out is a combination method, namely lectures, demonstrations, and formal socialization with the delivery of theoretical material (lectures) about the management and management of the Natural Sciences laboratory, then followed by field practice in the Natural Sciences laboratory. Field practice in the form of a visit to the science laboratory to conduct direct management in terms of the layout and design of the science laboratory. The result of this activity is that the participants have gained insight and knowledge related to management, management, and laboratory K3. That is, this activity can be a guideline in improving the quality and management of laboratories in schools.
