ABSTRACT Almost every communication media made the news of three Indian institutions appearing in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Rankings 2022 a headline, highlighting the importance of finding a place in the coveted ranking. Such rankings provide Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) a reason to pursue excellence in their operations. These rankings are also in the interests of the students and other stakeholders. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), also known as India Ranking, was introduced in 2015 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India (erstwhile Ministry of Human Resource Department). NIRF outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. Rankings obtained in the India Ranking 2017-20 have been analyzed in this study to assess the comparative performance of the top 100 universities. Statistical tests of chi square and Friedman tests show that rankings have remained consistent within the range for the top-performing universities. But, other than the top universities, there exists stiff competition for each ranking place. Overall, statistical analysis shows that rankings obtained by universities are not identical.

Background : The use of information technology is often applied in healthcare. With regard to scientific research, the SINPE(c) - Integrated Electronic Protocols was created as a tool to support researchers, offering clinical data standardization. By the time, SINPE(c) lacked statistical tests obtained by automatic analysis. Aim : Add to SINPE(c) features for automatic realization of the main statistical methods used in medicine . Methods : The study was divided into four topics: check the interest of users towards the implementation of the tests; search the frequency of their use in health care; carry out the implementation; and validate the results with researchers and their protocols. It was applied in a group of users of this software in their thesis in the strict sensu master and doctorate degrees in one postgraduate program in surgery. To assess the reliability of the statistics was compared the data obtained both automatically by SINPE(c) as manually held by a professional in statistics with experience with this type of study. Results : There was concern for the use of automatic statistical tests, with good acceptance. The chi-square, Mann-Whitney, Fisher and t-Student were considered as tests frequently used by participants in medical studies. These methods have been implemented and thereafter approved as expected. Conclusion : The incorporation of the automatic SINPE(c) Statistical Analysis was shown to be reliable and equal to the manually done, validating its use as a research tool for medical research.

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to see the relation of farmer’s perception with the marketing behavior of palm oil  to “KUD Dharma Bakti.The research was conducted in Tebo Jaya Village, due to the reason that  this location  shows that most of society take a livelihood as oil palm farmers. The number of samples are 57 farmers. The research data were descriptif analyzed to find out the people's perception and sales behavior in the community in Tebo Jaya Village. Statistical analysis used is Chi Square test to test the relation of farmer’s perception with palm oil mareting behavior. The results showed: 1) perception of farmers toward to the benefits and performance of the cooperation showed that there are 61.40% has a good, category, while 38.60% are not good category. 2) The behavior of palm oil marketing to the kooperation showed 68.42% as high category while 31.58% have low behavior category. 3) There is no significant correlation between perception of farmer perception and the behavior of palm oil marketing in Tebo Jaya Village.Keyword: Perception, Behavior, Kooperation. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat adanya kaitan persepsi masyarakat tani dengan perilaku penjualan kelapa sawit ke KUD Dharma Bakti di Desa Tebo Jaya Kecamatan Limbur Lubuk Mengkuang Kabupaten Muaro Bungo . Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Tebo Jaya, dengan alasan pemilihan lokasi karena Desa Tebo Jaya merupakan salah satu desa yang sebagian besar masyarakatnya bermata pencarian sebagai petani kelapa sawit. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 57 RTP. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan  untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi masyarakat tani dan perilaku penjualan digunakan analisis statistik yaitu uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) gambaran persepsi petani dilihat dari manfaat dan kinerja KUD, yang menunjukkan baik (61,40%) sedangkan (38,60%) masyarakat tani menyatakan kurang baik. 2) Gambaran penilaian perilaku penjualan kelapa sawit dilihat dari tinggi rendahnya frekuensi penjualan kelapa sawit ke KUD yang menunjukkan tinggi (68,42%) sedangkan 31,58% memiliki perilaku penjualan rendah terhadap KUD. 3) Tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara persepsi masyarakat tani dengan perilaku penjualan kelapa sawit di Desa Tebo Jaya yang dinyatakan dengan  ᵪ²hitung (1,22) lebih kecil dari ᵪ² tabel (3,841) dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 5%.Kata Kunci :   Persepsi, Perilaku dan KUD

The study focused on analyzing the duality CEO-Chairman and its relation on the effectiveness of the board control. A sample of 347 companies with annual sales volume greater than five million US dollars was selected; a questionnaire was provided in order to measure the effectiveness of the board control. To measure the duality CEO-Chairman secondary information was used, and verification was made about the existence of the duality. The effectiveness of the board was measured by an index obtained through the use of confirmatory factorial analysis. Statistical tests were performed, such as Student’s t-test for mean difference, Chi-square to measure the dependence and regression by simultaneous equations to answer the questions. As a result, it was found out that the duality CEO-Chairman is connected in a significant way with the performance of independent directors and risk supervision of the board. The results regarding the duality relationship CEO-Chairman and performance of independent directors are shown to be inverse, while with risk supervision it becomes direct. The obtained results theoretically contribute to the knowledge regarding the practices of good corporate governance.

This study aims at knowing respondents’comments on variables which were assumed as STIE Binaniaga fascination is factors, and to measure service performance attributed to factors taken into account by respondents, besides to look for relation between student’s ages, study program, and semester with the level of student’s satisfaction. The number of samples used was 103 respondents which represented all students from various study programs at STIE Binaniaga. The data were processed by using statistical analysis technique parametric and non parametric such as Factor Analysis, Chi Square, Spearmen’s rho and ImportantPerformance Matrix Analysis. The results of the study showed that there were 15 variables, that were used when the candidates students choose STIE Binaniaga, and all of them were successfully proceed. From 15 variables then consists of 4 components (factors): appearance excellence, promotion, and location. Index of student’s satisfaction at STIE Binaniaga equals 3.45 (quite satisfied) and from ImportantPerformance Matrix Analysis showed that the ordinate of importance and performance fell at second kuadrant (hight importance and performance above adequate)

Abstract  This study aims were to describe the employees motivation and describe the employees performance in this company and also to analyzing the relationship between work motivation and employee performance  in wood processing  of plywood at PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari in Sakean Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency.Data was analized by descriptive (qualitative-quantitative) and inferency analysis. To describe the work motivation and performance of employees was knowed by descriptive analysis, furthermore  to analysis  relations between analysis and   performance of employees using the non-parametric statistical analysis called Chi Square Test.The results of this study showed that 1). The employees work motivation  was  high. 2). Employee performance in PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari had a positively categorized and 3). There was strong level of relationship between work motivation and employee performance  in PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari in Sakean Village, Kumpeh Ulu District, Muaro Jambi Regency.Keywords: Motivation, Performance, PT. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survey. Data bersumber dari data primer dan data sekunder. Jenis data cros section dengan skala pengukuran data nominal. Dalam menganalisis data penelitian digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif dan interperensi. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi kerja dan kinerja  karyawan dalam pengolahan kayu lapis di PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari. Selanjutnya analisis kuatitatif yaitu untuk melihat hubungan motivasi kerja dan kinerja  karyawan dalam pengolahan kayu lapis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik non parametrik Uji Chi Square dengan tabel kontingensi 2 x 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1). Motivasi kerja karyawan di PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari adalah berkatergori tinggi dalam hal mempeloreh kompensasi, mendapatkan pujian, kesempatan promosi jabatan, tetap bekerja di perusahaan, tanggung jawab sebagai karyawan, pengalaman di perusahaan, SOP, melebihi target perusahaan, bekerja bukan karna di suruh atasan. 2). Kinerja karyawan pada PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari berkategori positif dalam hal kinerja melebihi target perusahaan, datang tepat waktu, melakukan perintah, bersemangat melakukan pekerjaan, tidak menunda pekerjan, SOP, melakukan pekerjaan dengan baik, menerima resiko baik buruknya hasil pekerjaan, teliti melakukan pekerjaan. 3). Terdapat hubungan antara motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan pada PT Kumpeh Karya Lestari Di Desa Sakean Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, dengan tingkat keeratan hubungan kuat.Kata kunci : Motivasi, Kinerja, PT. The research aimed to examine the relationship between human resource strategy evaluation and the performance of human resources in universities in Kenya. A sample survey cross-sectional design was employed where the target population was the registrars from the administration department that has oversight over the human resources. The data was then processed using the SPSS version 25 and analysed with descriptive and inferential statistics. Frequency distributions indicated high utilisation of the principles of business strategy evaluation in human resources. The correlation between the Human resource Strategy Evaluation and performance was positive and significant, and regression analysis confirmed the predictive power of human resource strategy on performance. The study concluded a positive and significant relationship between the utilisation of human resource strategy evaluation and the performance of human resources in universities in Kenya. In order to DT-SACCOs to remain competitive in the environment characterized by uncertainty and changes, knowledge creation and proper management are paramount. The current study, therefore, sought to determine the effect of knowledge creation on performance of deposit-taking SACCOs in Nyeri County Kenya. This study applied a descriptive research design. The researcher focused on 11 licensed DT-SACCOs operating in Nyeri County. The respondents of the study were 110 management staff in the human resource, credit, ICT, marketing, finance. The study adopted census on all the 110 employees from the DT-SACCOs. Questionnaires were used in collection of primary data. Descriptive analysis and chi-square analysis were conducted with the help of SPSS. The study found that SACCOs differed significantly in knowledge creation. Chi-square analysis showed that that knowledge creation (p=0.00) was statistically significant. It was concluded that knowledge creation positively enhanced SACCO performance. The study recommends that the deposit taking SACCOs need to come up with more ways of creating knowledge by empowering its staff to be innovative and creative.

In population genetics, it is very common to use statistical analysis to test the Hardy-Weinberg genetic equilibrium in a given population. The classical method of approaching this problem is done through the chi-square test that often leads to the verification of the equilibrium hypothesis. In the present work, a Bayesian analysis was developed involving hypothesis testing, estimation and credibility intervals to test this balance. Data on M, MN and N blood groups from the MNS system were used on samples from two populations, one from Brazilians and one from North Americans, obtained by Beiguelman (1977). The HardyWeinberg equilibrium adhesion chi-square test was performed, where the acceptance of the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium hypothesis was confirmed. By Bayesian analysis, the rejection of the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium hypothesis was confirmed, mainly by the Bayes factor. Our primary concern was to develop a Bayesian technique as an alternative to testing HardyWeinberg equilibrium using the MNSs blood sample data. The result obtained may encourage researchers mainly in the field of biological sciences to practice Bayesian Methodology, as an alternative in statistical tests.

The paper examines the experience and performance of Abertay Access to Higher Education programme, AHEAD. The research is largely based on a qualitative analysis of two focus groups and nine in-depth, semi-structured interviews with former AHEAD students. A statistical analysis of the performance of all AHEAD students on their chosen undergraduate degrees between 2012-13 and 2016-17 was also conducted. The paper demonstrates that AHEAD is an effective alternative route to higher education and argues that university-based access courses may be better in preparing these students for the culture and rigours of university life.

The current research aims to test the relationship of the impact of the quality of human resource practices on e-governance in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in order to diagnose the level of interest of the said ministry with the main research variables and their dimensions. Coming up with a set of recommendations that contribute to improving the level of performance of its administrative system to achieve quality in its outputs when it adopts the research variables. 300 of them were retrieved, while (290) questionnaires were valid for statistical analysis, and the measurement tool (the questionnaire) was strengthened with interviews. With the members of the surveyed community within the different administrative levels, the research relied on statistical programs (AMOS V.25- SPSS V.26-) to analyze the primary data, with the use of descriptive and inferential statistics methods represented in testing the research hypotheses. Based on the main questions of the research, the statistical analysis showed a number of results, most notably the presence of a significant impact on the quality of human resource practices in egovernance, and one of the most important recommendations is the necessity of taking into account quality standards when selecting individuals working for the organization concerned, as it helps them to apply modern methods such as e-governance.
