IMAGE OF MONTENEGRO AND VIEWPOINT ON NARRATION IN XAVIER MARMIER’S LETTERS ON THE ADRIATIC AND MONTENEGRO In the present article, we intend to present Letters on the Adriatic and Montenegro by Xavier Marmier, a French traveller and writer who took many trips around the world, including Montenegro in 1852. His journey is described in two volumes, and the second one is mainly devoted to Montenegro (six out of eight chapters). He spent two months in Montenegro and wrote a beautiful testimony of this period, relying on the historical facts, testimonies of the inhabitants and on his personal impressions. In the first part of our paper, we provide a summary of his writing on Montenegro, focusing on points such as the historical context, the living conditions of the people, as well as on their customs and traditions. In the second part, we propose a reflection on the narration and more precisely on the narrative temporality in this work. We seek to identify the different temporal markers in order to explain the use of certain tenses in the narrative. Key words: Montenegro, Xavier Marmier, travel writing, narration, temporality

HEALTH EDUCATION — THE NEED TO MAKE IT WORK It is increasingly apparent that the major health problems in the world today — ranging from malnutrition and communicable diseases; many forms of mental ill-health and cardiac conditions; accidents and alcoholism, are primarily attributable to unsatisfactory living conditions, lack of knowledge and harmful practices on the part of individuals, families and communities. Advances in the field of science and technology can do no more towards the promotion of the health of the population unless it is accompanied by fundamental changes in the way of life and behaviour patterns of the people themselves.

AbstractThe present article deals with issues of social recognition in the global and transnational environment. It deals with the issue of solidarity, a form of recognition that has no adequate parallel beyond nation state borders and manifests itself mainly in the transnational economy. We focus on the articulation of the extraterritorial recognition of social rights-holders at the international and transnational levels of justice. It is clear that conditions in developing countries do not allow the people there to express disapproval in ways that are typical for Western societies. We stress that states should strengthen their influence in global and transnational organizations and equally that the media should improve its informative role and should provide information on what is happening in developing parts of the world.

Navoi's work is valuable and noteworthy as a reflection of the philosophical and artistic think-ing of the period, as a product of conceptual views and research of a talented person. In his poems he meets a philosopher, a lover, a beggar, the owner of a crushed heart; to see time, its vortex, its destruction; the ruins of wickedness, and the radiant waves of goodness. Navoi's lyrical protago-nist is himself. It is as if he set out on a voyage in a vast ocean (world) with his ship (creation). This journey (life) forces him to draw conclusions about himself, the ocean (the world), the people of the ocean (humanity), and its variations and flashes (storm, flood, clarity, and so on). Key words: mature muhaddith, tyrant, apocalyptic area, Eastern poets, poetic manifestation, literary communication and interaction, the spirit of the work

Terrorism is the talk of the world. It also occupies a larger part in the media and Islam receives relatively high attention compared to other religions. Islam, Muslims, particularly Arabs, in the eyes of the West, become the source of terrorism that gives the West an opportunity to launch a war against the countries which are accused of terrorism. It is, in fact, a war against radical Islam as they claimed. How do the western politicians, reporters, journalists and writers address terrorism in their official speech or literary works that reflect their vision and understanding of terror/terrorism? The present article addresses Amy Waldman’s The Submission, 2011, John Updike’s Terrorist, 2006, Joel Rosenberg’s The Last Jihad, 2002, and their vision of terrorism, its reasons and the people behind. The article concluded that the western narratives written during the controversial period of the post 9/11. 2001 came deeply influenced by the western media reports and the official statements about 9/11. Such narratives also created, but enrooted Islamophobia and anti- Muslim attitudes in the hearts of the westerners while the western narratives written lately showed more sympathy and rationality towards Muslim characters because the hidden facts of terrorism become exposed. The narratives showed that the western countries exaggerate in their reactions against terrorists/terrorism and the present research concluded that the West has taken precautionary steps to protect its interests and its allies in such countries accused of terrorism. The westerners make use of their domination upon the media to create negative and aggressive attitudes towards Islam/Muslims to blackmail the Islamic countries in the name of war on terrorism, and to secularize/westernize the different aspects of life in such Islamic countries. The narratives showed that war on terrorism is a war on Islam, particularly, radical Islam as claimed.
