Organization’s competitiveness and profitability are part of its main objectives, developing different strategies to position themselves as one of the best, being one of these strategies Six Sigma (SS), initially developed in processes of manufacturing to eliminate production and services defects. However, literature has reported various applications and areas of implementation of SS, such as the administrative area. The objective of this article is to present results obtained in literature review related to the SS strategy. The article begins with basic strategy definitions, followed by the main applications and implementation areas, additionally, an analysis of the critical success factors (CSF) is shown as a suggestion for those who wish to develop the strategy and improve the administrative processes. The CSF is: Management Support and Commitment, Relationship with Clients, Organizational Culture, Education and Training, Organizational Infrastructure and Communication.

Random noise often contaminates seismic data and reduces its signal-to-noise ratio. Therefore, the removal of random noise has been an essential step in seismic data processing. The [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text] predictive filtering method is one of the most widely used methods in suppressing random noise. However, when the subsurface structure becomes complex, this method suffers from higher prediction errors owing to the large number of different dip components that need to be predicted. Here, we used a denoising convolutional neural network (DnCNN) algorithm to attenuate random noise in seismic data. This method does not assume the linearity and stationarity of the signal in the conventional [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text] domain prediction technique, and it involves creating a set of training data that are obtained by data processing, feeding the neural network with the training data obtained, and deep network learning and training. During deep network learning and training, the activation function and batch normalization are used to solve the gradient vanishing and gradient explosion problems, and the residual learning technique is used to improve the calculation precision, respectively. After finishing deep network learning and training, the network will have the ability to separate the residual image from the seismic data with noise. Then, clean images can be obtained by subtracting the residual image from the raw data with noise. Tests on the synthetic and real data demonstrate that the DnCNN algorithm is very effective for random noise attenuation in seismic data.

Immunization is a program that deliberately introduces weak antigens to stimulate antibodies out so that the body can be resistant to certain diseases. Diseases that can be prevented by immunization are tuberculosis, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, measles, and hepatitis B. This disease can cause death, morbidity, and disability, even if not treated optimally can be contagious and cause extraordinary events. The purpose of this study is to describe how the mother's Knowledge about diseases that can be prevented by immunization in infants. The design in this study was descriptive, using primary data obtained directly from respondents through a questionnaire. The population in this study were all mothers who had babies in the Veterans Region of Medan Estate Village Percut Sei Tuan Medan District by using a total sampling technique of 20 respondents. Data processing is done through the process of editing, coding, tabulating. The results showed that knowledge of mothers about diseases that can be prevented by immunization in dominant infants with sufficient knowledge was 14 people (70%). So it can be concluded that the mother's knowledge about diseases that can be prevented by immunization in infants is categorized as sufficient. It is hoped that with increasing knowledge, mothers will be more active in bringing their babies to the public health for immunization. Midwives and cadres are also expected to be more active in disseminating health information about diseases that can be prevented by immunization to residents, especially to mothers who have babies.

This research conducted to determine the effect of service tax officials, penalties for late-payments and reporting on the taxpayer compliance non-star hotels. This research was conducted at Dinas Pendapatan Kota Batam. Mechanical determination of sample using a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 116 taxpayers. The type of data used is primary data. Methods of data collection are done by questionnaire. Data using multiple regression analysis with SPSS V.20.0. These results indicate that the service tax officials, penalties for late-payments and reporting have a positive and significant effect on the taxpayer compliance non-star hotels. The limitations in the study are the lack of understanding of respondents to the statements in the questionnaire and caring attitude and seriousness in answering statements. The study also suggested that Dinas Pendapatan Kota Batam provides socialization with both the taxpayer so they better understand the tax penalties and cause sanctions fines on taxpayers.

Empowerment of women has emerged as an important issue in recent times since women remained disadvantaged part of society for a long period of times. Empowerment of women facilitates development by the uplifting their economic, social and political status. Microfinance is proved to be the instrument to handle poverty that exists mostly in urban and rural areas of the country. It is treated as a key strategy in addressing development issues across the country since the last decade. This study basically attempts to analyze the roles and challenges of microfinance in women empowerment. A primary survey has been carried out to capture the realistic experiences from the women beneficiaries of Oromia Micro Credit and Saving Institution of West Shoa Zone branch. In order to address the objectives of the study, a mixed approach has been adopted and primary data were collected and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. A total sample of 268 women customers’ was selected using simple random sampling technique out of 1316 target populations. Data collected from these respondents were analyzed and interpreted using percentage, weighted mean and mean ranking and the hypothesis was tested using the paired t-test. The findings showed that a significant number of clients had increased their income, saving, decision making and asset ownership rights and safeguarded themselves and their families from financial difficulties. Besides its role, the main challenging factors are unproductive usages of the loan, limited loan size, lack of training and follow up, low awareness and high-interest rate of the loan.

Accounting information system is very important part to improve organizational efficiency and support competitiveness by providing financial and accounting information for the company. The system can be said to be effective if the system is able to produce information that is acceptable and able to meet the expectations of information in a timely, accurate, and reliable. This study aims to examine the effect of top management support and knowledge manager on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. The population in this study is retail companies located in Manado. This study used Purposive sampling technique, obtained 42 people as respondents with questionnaire as the research instrument. This study used primary data that is the answer of the respondents tabulated and processed using SPSS software (Statistic Product and Service Solution) version 22. Data analysis was performed with multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this study showed that top management support and knowledge manager simultaneously affect the effectiveness of accounting information system. Top management support as partially has a positive effect on the  effectiveness of accounting information system meanwhile knowledge manager has no effect on the effectiveness of accounting information system. Keywords: Top Management Support, Knowledge Manager , Effectiveness Of Accounting Information System
