The use of technology as a learning medium during the Covid-19 pandemic is an alternative solution to be able to continue to carry out long-distance learning activities. Existing technologies such as Google Meet, Google Classroom and Google Drive strongly support students and teachers and other academics in teaching and learning activities. The use of the facilities provided by Google can be useful for academics. Teaching and learning activities synchronously (synchronous) using video conferencing is an effective way. Not only that, asynchronous learning media using existing Google Classroom facilities such as discussion and chat features are one of the media to support distance learning to keep it running smoothly. The activity was carried out at Majlis Ta'lim Hidayatul Mubtadiin, which consisted of teenagers aged 12-17 years. Based on the questionnaires distributed during the activity, that as many as 96% were able to absorb the material with this distance learning media. This article will provide feedback on one of our university distance learning courses conducted during the national lockdown in 2020. The choice of the implementation modalities of this distance learning was initially guided by our decision to ensure immediate pedagogical continuity, as soon as we entered the lockdown in March, while including all the students. These principles led to a technologically 'frugal' solution, in the sense that it required low-cost computer and communication resources, as opposed to video conferencing in particular. We will see how this solution proved appropriate in terms of pedagogical continuity and inclusion, in line with the initial intention, and we will also discuss, based on student feedback, the other pedagogical benefits that it proved to have and which led us to maintain its format over time.

During COVID-19 pandemic, alternative learning arrangements have been applied and used, so that it is possible to perform distance learning. Teachers have typically changed their teaching practises from conventional classroom meetings to distance learning by using electronic equipment, either online or offline. Internet networks have been the cornerstone during this time, with the use of social media apps such as Whatsapp and Telegram, social networking sites such as Facebook Live and Instagram Live, and platforms for video conferencing such as Google Meet and Zoom. In order to deal with the COVID-19 period for the better, English language teaching has also improved. The learning of English vocabulary also tailored to accommodate for distance learning as the use of vocabulary for good communication in one's life is crucial, regardless of whether or not one is in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. This paper systematically reviews previous research undertaken on explicit instructions for vocabulary and suggests a structure for discussing English vocabulary teaching strategies. In learning, teaching, and undertaking vocabulary studies, this analysis may have some theoretical consequences for learners, educators, and researchers.

The paper deals with distance learning of geographic information systems (GIS) at the Department of Geography and Regional Development FNS CPU in Nitra using various educational materials and the JitsiMeet application during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students of bachelor study had GIS lessons in face-to-face instruction in a computer room for half of a semester. In the middle of the semester, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in Slovakia and the face-to-face instruction had to be reoriented to the distance form of learning. The first month of distance learning took place with the help of textbooks and video tutorials, which were sent to students. The task of the students that month was to study a new subject, then students were sent a questionnaire where they had to express their opinion on learning GIS using video tutorials and textbooks, but also indicate whether they had facilities for online learning (PC, audio and video outputs, Internet) as well as to express their views and experiences with online learning as such. Although after evaluating the questionnaire, up to 71% of students answered that they had learned a new subject from the video tutorials and 57% also from GIS textbooks, several percent of students were still unfit for this form of learning. That is why we went to lessons with the free JitsyMeet app, which allows for video conferencing, screen sharing, chat, and more. The aim of the paper is to point out the perception of distance GIS learning by university students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Distance learning of students has become one of the main methods of obtaining knowledge for the period of forced isolation due to the worsened epidemiological situation. The discipline of human anatomy is fundamental and requires not only a digital approach to independently solve tasks, but also the direct use of the ZOOM conference portal for conducting practical classes with students. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching students using the zoom remote platform. In the course of research on the results of the course of teaching practical classes in the discipline of human anatomy, students were surveyed and tested to assess their academic performance and ease of use of this remote digital portal application. As a result, the use of videoconferencing facilitates the acquisition of knowledge by students, improves their academic performance. More than 90% of students consider it necessary to conduct a daily lesson in the video format. 3% of students consider this format time-consuming and inconvenient, but 95% of students believe that it is through videoconferencing that there is a direct connection with the teacher, during which it is possible to analyze complex clinical tasks. Thus, by sharing our experience and showing the advantages of using this video format conference platform in practical classes on anatomy to improve the quality of distance learning.

ABSTRACT Online learning can shorten learning time and of course can save costs incurred by educational institutions. The success of distance learning does not only depend on the material or content presented by the educator, but on how the material is delivered, so that students can understand the material presented by the teacher. The learning model that can be done in elementary schools during the Covid-19 pandemic is distance learning, learning which ideally has interactivity between educators and students even though it is not in the same place, with video conferencing it will help the learning process carried out, because educators will be directly involved with students. Media zoom is one of the choices of learning media in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research will be conducted at SDN 117 Leppangeng. The objectives of this study are to determine the effectiveness of using zoom media for learning in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The approach used in this research is qualitative. Keyword: Zoom, pembelajaran, pandemic Covid-19
