Speaking is a skill to produce sequences of words that exist at the meaning while reading means a skill to get meaning from the written words. Vocabulary is the key in which these two skills relate to each other. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between speaking skill and reading comprehension of the third semester English students at Islamic University of Indargiri. The sample of this study was 20 students. The research method used in this study was a correlational study. Researchers gave the test of speaking skills and reading comprehension to collect data. After the data has been collected, it was found that the average of the students’ speaking skills was categorized as Good because 70,8 in range 66-79 and the students’ reading comprehension was categorized as Good to Excellentbecause 78,7 in range 76-100. Based on those findings, researchers analyzed the students’ speaking skill and their reading comprehension by using Pearson r formula, with the result is 0,691. Based on the coefficient correlation, 0,691 was interpreted as Moderate Correlation. It means there is a significant correlation between students’ speaking skill and their reading comprehension.

The problem in this study was the students’ common difficulties in TOEFL Reading Comprehension.  This study only used one variable. The research method used in this study was a descriptive research. The purpose of this study was to know the students’ common difficulties in TOEFL Reading Comprehension on the second semester of English Study Program at Islamic University of Indragiri Tembilahan. The total of the sample used in this study were 23 students, the technique was used to take the sample is total sampling. In collecting the data, the researcher used a test.  After the data has been collected, the result of test showed that the skills that are considered to be the most difficult ones in TOEFL reading, which is skill 3. This skill is identifying stated detail questions correctly. It is the highest percentage (84%) with the total of incorrect answer is 210 from 5 items. Then, it is followed by skill 5 (82%) with the total of incorrect answer is 82 from 2 items, which is finding pronoun reference. It is the second most difficult skill for the students. The third most difficult skill is skill 7. It is responding of transition question achieve 81% with the total of incorrect answers is 81 from 2 items. Next, skill 10 is considered to be the fourth most difficult skill in TOEFL reading comprehension. The questions are about the use of context to give meaning of difficult word which is counted 80 % from the total of incorrect answers is 120 from 3 items. Then, the fifth most difficult skill in TOEFL reading comprehension is skill 1, which is consisting the questions about answering main idea questions correctly, students made 78% of the total incorrect answers is 156 from 4 items.

ABSTRAK Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen humas radio Rama FM Bandung dalam meningkatkan pemasang iklan dari mulai tahapan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan sampai dengan pengawasan, metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengetahui karakteristik  dengan cara berinteraksi secara langsung dan mendalam mengenai sebuah program dan ringkasan yang digambarkan pada konteks di atas mendasari untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dijalankan oleh radio Rama FM Bandung dalam meningkatkan pemasang iklan. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualittaif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan manajemen humas radio Rama FM Bandung dalam meningkatkan pemasang iklan dimulai pada tahapan pertama yaitu perencanaan pembuatan proposal, inovasi program, pengemasan iklan dan penyampaian iklan. Tahapan kedua yaitu pengorganisasian dengan komunikasi, membentuk team, pertimbangan tugas, dan persetujuan dari pimpinan. Tahapan ketiga yaitu pelaksanaan sesuai tugas, presentasi, pelaksanaan tugas sesuai susunan, pelaksanaan kegiatan. Tahap keempat yaitu pengawasan koordinasi, kinerja team yang bertugas, program yang berlangsung, dan pengawasan proses sebagai bahan evaluasi. Kata Kunci : Manajemen Humas; Meningkatkan; Pemasang Iklan. ABSTRACT This writing aims to determine radio public relations management Rama FM Bandung in increasing advertisers from the stages of planning, organizing, implementation to supervision, this research method uses a case study method to determine the characteristics by interacting directly and deeply about a case and summary illustrated in the above context underlying to explore and describe the activities carried out by radio Rama FM Bandung in improving advertisers. The analysis of this study uses descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the radio public relations management activities of Rama FM Bandung in increasing advertisers began in the first stage, namely the planning of making proposals, program innovation, packaging of advertisements and delivery of advertisements. The second stage is organizing with communication, forming teams, considering assignments, and approval from the leadership. The third stage is the implementation of tasks, presentations, implementation of tasks according to the arrangement, implementation of activities. The fourth stage is monitoring coordination, the performance of the team in charge, the ongoing program, and monitoring the process as an evaluation material. ABSTRAK Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi  CSR PT. Pos Indonesia pada program bantuan sarana peribadatan mulai dari tahap perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus untuk mengetahui karakteristik  dengan cara berinteraksi secara langsung dan mendalam mengenai sebuah kasus dan ringkasan yang digambarkan pada konteks di atas mendasari untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan kegiatan-kegiatan divisi PKBL PT. Pos Indonesia. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualittaif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Implementasi Kegiatan Responsibility CSR pada program bantuan sarana peribadatan, mulai dari tahap pertama yaitu perencanaan agenda proposal, peninjauan proposal, dan perencanaan anggaran. Tahap kedua yaitu tahap pengorganisasian dengan mengorganisasikan persiapan, mengorganisasikan koordinasi dan mengorganisasikan pengelolaan anggaran. Tahap ketiga yaitu tahap pelaksanaan melaksanan briefing, melaksanakan program dilapangan dan melaksankan penyaluran dan. Tahap terakhir yaitu pengawasan  mengawasi program, mengawasi dana yang telah disalurkan. The third stage is the stage of carrying out the briefing, implementing the program in the field and implementing the distribution and. This study aimed at investigating the effect of blended learning on the English-students’ speaking skills at SMAN 2 Patra Nusa Aceh Tamiang. Also, this study investigated students’ level differences of English-speaking skills of SMA Patra Nusa students. Twenty-five students of the eleventh-grade class were involved in this study. This study used a quasi-experimental with pre-experimental design. The instruments used in this study were observation and test (pretest and posttest). The results of data analysis showed that sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < α (0.05), it means reject H0, accepted Ha. Finding obtained of pretest 77,04 and posttest 88,95. In conclusion, the mean pretest and posttest scores differ significantly. In other words, blended learning positively affects students speaking skills used in the media google classroom at SMA N 2 Patranusa.

It is not easy to speack arabic  for a student who are not native speaker, but it will be solved through much rehearsal. The student are not native speaker will be easy  to speak and write arabic. the rehearsal of this additional activity will be effective if it supports by right management. There are some purposes of this reasearch : 1. To know the planning of extracurricular for speaking and writing skill. 2. To know the organization of extracurricular for speaking and writing skill 3. To know the evaluation of extracurricular for speaking and writing skill. In This  research, the researcher uses qualitative research approach and case study methode. there are two data sources of this reasearch namely primer and secondary data sources, collecting the data through interview, observation, and documentation. Whereas analysing the data uses mils and hubberman analysing models. Based on the result of this research, can take conclusion that management of addtional activity for speaking and writing skill, the first is planning,  in this planning consist of establishing purpose, establishing programe, establishing advisor, establishing the fasility of the implamentation of speaking and writing skills. The second is organization, in this organization consist of distributing assigment and obligation to the teacher. The third is evalution, the evalution of extracurricular of speaking skill did orally whereas the evalution for writing skill through correcting the result of student’s wriring for one month. Public speaking has become an integral part of many professions and is at the center of career development opportunities. Therefore, the change in the education system from offline to online has led to new ideas in the implementation of public speaking learning, namely by using Instagram as a learning medium for collecting assignments intended to introduce or sell English language skills which are usually called Edupreneurship. That way, it is hoped that not only carry out learning and collect assignments but also something is obtained. However, learning still prioritizes output. Therefore, in this study, we refer to the personal branding theory. The purpose of this study is to determine how effective the use of Instagram is as a medium to promote English speaking skills, to find out the followers' responses regarding the skills possessed by English students, and also what was gained from promoting English speaking skills. The subjects in this study were students in the 5th semester. The number of respondents was 25 students. This research was conducted using data collection methods through Google forms. The results showed that Instagram provided effects and benefits to students, most of them stated that: (1) Students felt more confident in speaking English, (2) Students felt an improvement in their abilities, (3) Students felt more enthusiastic about positive comments and motivated by negative comments, (4) Students feel that Instagram is the right medium for promoting English speaking skills, (5) Students get input in the form of work.

This study is aimed to investigate the students’ morphological awareness which is employed by the third semester of English students FKIP Universitas Islam Riau Pekanbaru Riau, Indonesia.This study is the qualitative design namely case study. The instrument of this study was documentation or the scrips of the students in the final examination result in the academic year 2019-2020. In this case, the researcher has analyzed the data using the Cresswell method. The result of this study found that some of the students still have a problem in using derivational affixes such as in changing the classes of words from verb to noun, noun to adjective, adjective to a verb, adjective to an adverb

<p><em>The purpose of this study was to find out on the effectiveness of movie making activities to improve students’ learning motivation and speaking skills of the third semester of Port and Shipping management students of STIMART “AMNI” Semarang in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research was an experimental research design which involved two groups. They were control group and experimental group. The subject of this research was Class A and B of the third semester of Port and Shipping Management of STIMART “AMNI” Semarang in the academic year of 2016/2017. Each class was consists of 30 students. Class A was experiment group and class B was the control group. At the beginning of this research, both groups were given pretest. Then, the experimental group was given treatment of movie making activities which was done for five times. The control group was not getting any treatment. Next, both groups were given posttest.The result of this research was based on the result of both groups pretest and posttest. The control group pretest result was 60, 6 and the posttest result was 77,2 while the experimental group pretest result was 67,4 and the posttest result was 83,4 so, it could be concluded that movie making activities was 83,4% effective to improve and increase students’ learning motivation and speaking skills of Port and Shipping management students of STIMART “AMNI ” Semarang in the academic year of 2016/2017.</em></p><p><em></em><strong><em>Keywords :</em><em> Movie making activities, Speaking, Motivation.</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan kegiatan pembuatan film untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan ketrampilan berbicara taruna semester tiga jurusan Ketatalaksanaan pelayaran Niaga dan Kepelabuhanan STIMART “ AMNI ” Semarang tahun akademik 2016/2017.  Penelitian ini adalah penelitian experimental yang melibatkan 2 grup. 1 grup sebagai control grup dan 1 grup sebagai experimental grup. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah taruna kelas A dan B mempunyai jumlah taruna sebanyak 30 taruna . Kelas A sebagai eksperiment grup dan kelas B sebagai kontrol grup. Pada awal pelaksanaan penelitian , kedua grup diberikan pretest . Kemudian , kelas yang merupakan eksperimental grup diberikan perlakuan menggunakan kegiatan pembuatan film. Perlakuan ini dilakukan lima kali . Bagi control grup tidak diberikan perlakuan sama sekali. Selanjutnya, kedua grup diberikan posttest. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil dari pretest dan posttest dari kedua grup. Hasil pretest dari control grup 60,6 dan posttestnya 77,2 sedangkan hasil pretest eksperimental group 67,4 dan posttestnya 83,4 jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pembuatan film 83,4% efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dan ketrampilan berbicara taruna semester tiga jurusan Ketatalaksanaan Pelayaran Niaga dan Kepelabuhanan STIMART “ AMNI ”Semarang tahun akademik 2016/2017.</p><p><strong>Kata kunci : <em>Kegiatan pembuatan Film, Berbicara, Motivasi</em></strong></p>

This paper is purposed to find out the problems in speaking skills for English department student in STKIP Budidaya – Binjai. The speaking skill is the last position to cover up the four skills in English because speaking is the improving your ability to use four skills in English. Speaking needs some stimulation to attract the students speaks their ideas, opinion, or comments about something. The sample of the study is the third students in English department student, it is around 28 students. The data are collected through document by sound recording. The data analyzed by using the technique of analyze data. The result of the study is that it concludes that first question “What is the problem of speaking?” 10 students (35,71%) respond less of confident and 10 students (35,71%) respond less of vocabulary. The second question “How the ways do you practice your speaking skill?” 10 students (35,71%) respond watching movie. The third question “Do you agree that speaking is the most difficult to study comparing with another skills in English? And why?” 18 students (64,29%) respond yes, because it takes orally.

Abstract Reading strategies are skills under consideration which closely depend on specific reading contexts as well as reader awareness, control and intention. Strategies refer to mental actions deliberately employed to facilitate a reading process, to enhance reading comprehension and to overcome reading difficulties in order to achieve particular reading goal. The objective of this research is to find out the correlation between students’ reading comprehension and reading strategy used by the third semester of English Students of FKIP UIR. The researcher used a quantitative method. This research was conducted on October 2018. The population of this research was the third semester of English students of FKIP UIR. The sample of this research was 3d which consist of 37 students. The researcher used a questionnaire for reading strategy and reading test for reading comprehension. Based on the research findings, there was a medium correlation between students’ reading strategy used and students’ reading comprehension by the third semester of English students of FKIP UIR. The researcher found that in level significant 5% rxy > rtable = 0.662>0.325. Its means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. In another words, there is significant relationship between students reading strategy used and students’ reading comprehension. Keywords: Reading Strategy, Reading Comprehension
