Dentures, whether complete or partial, are the mostly used prosthesis worldwide by the people who are in lack of their natural teeth. Dentures have become a necessity for them for esthetic, functional and psychological reasons. Personalisation of the prosthetics (dentures etc.) has become a challenging job for the dental surgeons worldwide. It is also useful in forensic dentistry for identification of individuals in natural or human aggressive calamities. Though various methods have been described for identification of dentures but none of them fulfill all the requirements prescribed by American Dental Association (ADA). Here, a method for personalisation of denture will be described which is cosmetically appealing and cost effective. Besides, it satisfies most of the requirements laid down by ADA simply by adding up a few steps in the procedure of denture fabrication. A pilot trial was established to support visiting psychiatric services and local public and private practitioners through the use of videoconferencing. The purpose of the trial was to determine whether people in the community received better health-care with telemedicine. A community-based approach was used to evaluate health outcomes, costs, utilization, accessibility, quality and needs for such services in a rural community in Queensland. Over a two-year period data were collected from 124 subjects who met the criteria of having a mental health problem or mental disorder. Nine further subjects refused to participate in the study. Only 32 subjects used videoconferencing to receive mental health services. Preliminary results did not show any significant improvements in wellbeing or quality of life, although the time span was relatively short. However, the results confirmed that the people were no worse off from a consumer or a practitioner perspective from using videoconferencing. Most consumers found that videoconferencing with a psychiatrist moderately or greatly helped them in managing their treatment, with 98% of them preferring to be offered videoconferencing in combination with local services. Overall, videoconferencing is a crucial part of enhancing psychiatry services in rural areas. However, it is not necessarily cost-effective for all consumers, general practitioners, psychiatrists, or the public mental health service.

Hearing aids are electroacoustic gadgets commonly worn in or behind the ear and are intended to enhance the speech Nowadays hearing aids support various application unlike the traditional ones such that it can act like headphones streaming audio signals from internet-enabled devices connected wirelessly via Bluetooth. This paper aims to review the various advancements in the hearing aid technology. System on chip technology of the microcontroller have been used in various studies to develop and design an effective hearing assistant device and help the people with hearing impairment to lead a normal life. Ten articles have been reviewed for the study and it can be concluded that IoT is the future for an efficient, cost effective hearing assistive system [1]

Safety of people and traffic police on road and the provision of prompt and appropriate treatment of injured persons in road accident are urgent concerns. The nine recommendations accordingly made are 1) Considering anyone who informs about or brings to the hospitals the accident victims as innocent until proved otherwise, 2) Annual payment by all vehicle owners (as per the cost of vehicles) to generate treatment fund for any road accident injured patients in the free general (not paying or private or extended health service) outdoor or emergency clinics or ward of the public hospitals irrespective of anyone’ fault in the accident (insurance or other agencies may be assigned to handle the amount deposited and reimbursement of the payments to the hospitals), 3) Implementation of helmet wearing by motorcycle riders and pillion riders in motorcycles, 4) Stricter fine for hazardous traffic offenses, 5) Drivers of the larger vehicles should not automatically be held responsible for any accidents involving other smaller vehicles (to prevent smaller vehicles and motorcycles to drive recklessly), 6) Drivers should not be just held responsible to bear health expenses of injured patients (which is much more than the compensation required in the event of death of injured persons); this is to encourage drivers to take injured persons immediately to hospitals and prevent inclination to allow their deaths indirectly or directly; the drivers should be proportionately fined or punished as per the traffic regulations if they are found to be negligent, 7) Safe and visible platform for the traffic police to stay on the road, 8) Provision of cost-effective respirators for traffic police and traffic supervisors, and 9) Compensation for occupational hazards to the traffic police and field traffic supervisors by distributing to them adequate proportion (e.g. one-third to one-half) of the fund collected by stricter fine paid for the hazardous traffic offences. Provision of various allowances, including for hazards, and benefits is a common practice in the country. Compensation for the occupational hazards of the traffic police provides incentives to and motivates them to remain vigilant about hazardous traffic offenses day and night everywhere and, thus, is essential for the safety of the people.

Introdution: Ischemic heart disease is one of the most common diseases, which has led to high mortality rates all over the world. This disease is caused by narrowing or blockage of coronary arteries, which are the provider of blood to the heart. Identifying the people susceptible to this disease and bringing changes in their lifestyles has been said to reduce the related mortality rates and increase the patient's longevity. Methods: Yazd people Health Study (YaHS) was conducted on a random sample of 10,000 people living in the city of Yazd, Iran in the years 2014-15 for a general health and disease survey. These data were first balanced by bootstrapping technique due to their unbalanced nature. Next, classification methods were used in the training phase. Various classifiers, such as artificial neural network, rule inducer, regression, and AdaBoost were used in order to evaluate the proposed method with two scenarios. Results: The results showed that the screening of the people susceptible to ischemic heart disease had the most significant effect on increasing the sensitivity of the discovery classifier of CN2 subgroup through using balanced data by bootstrapping method followed by their analysis for the purpose of producing a sample of the patients. This classifier proved to have the potential for detecting 83.6% of the people susceptible to this disease. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that data mining methods are effective in screening for susceptible people with ischemic heart disease. This method can be compared with other traditional screening methods in that it is more cost-effective and faster.


Voting is important for any democratic country. It can be considered as one of the major factors that make a government for the people and by the people. The most common methods of voting that currently exist are ballot-based voting, purely electronic methods, and Electronic Voting Machines, among others. Over the years, it has been a challenge to build a secure E-voting program that provides the privacy of current voting systems while offering a means of accountability and versatility. Using blockchain technology and cryptography we can make the process of elections as open and cost-effective as possible. In this review paper we discuss a new, blockchain-based electronic voting system that addresses some of the limitations in existing systems and evaluates some of the popular systems designed to create a blockchain-based e-voting system.

IntroductionThe New Treatment Fund (NTF), launched in January 2017, aims to support the faster introduction of new medicines recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG). The NTF requires seven health boards and one trust to make recommended medicines available within 60 days of any positive recommendation decision. The project goal was to develop a system for demonstrating how monitoring the NTF improves medicines access for the people of Wales.MethodsThe process was derived via a series of task and finish group meetings with relevant stakeholders. The monitoring criteria were agreed through a collaborative expert approach using a nominal group technique. This determined a minimal dataset of formulary status, which included time to formulary addition. Pre-NTF medicines data (n = 59) were available for a six-month period.ResultsBy the three-year milestone of the NTF, the average time taken for newly recommended medicines (n = 219) to become available to patients across Wales had decreased by eighty-five percent from 90 to 13 days (p < 0.01).ConclusionsAn innovative and robust system has been created for accurately monitoring the formulary addition of medicines within the NTF, supporting the rapid and comprehensive uptake of medicines deemed clinically and cost effective by NICE and the AWMSG.

The desired attributes of electrostatic spraying are uniform deposition onto both directly exposed or obscured crop surfaces which minimize the off-target losses of active ingredients to soil, water, atmosphere and provide more effective and economical pest control. This chapter presents an overview of electrostatic spraying technologies in the field of agriculture emphasizing the key role of advanced electrostatic instrumentation and chronicles the scientific innovations in the parlance of providing cost effective and reliable commercial systems along with an insight on the needs of future research perspectives and directives. It is aimed primarily at a familiarization with spraying concepts and engineering practices. This text is to bridge the knowledge and experience gap among researchers and technology developers and the people involved in electrostatic processes applied to agriculture and food processing. It will also introduce the engineering aspects of design and development of an electrostatic spraying nozzle for agricultural applications.

This chapter considers a range of explanations as to why micro-enterprises perform well on aspects of all of the four measures that were used (valued, cost-effective, personalised and innovative). It focuses on the organisational structure of micro-enterprises, suggesting that their size allows these organisations to foster staff autonomy and high levels of adaptability to what is wanted by the people they support. It also examines issues of organisational ethos and identity, suggesting that many of these organisations set themselves up explicitly to distinguish themselves from large providers, and that this is the driver for much of the personalised support and innovative practice that we saw. However there are also vulnerabilities here for these organisations which can lack financial security, raising question marks about their long-term sustainability.

Strong typhoon and earthquake seriously threaten the safety of the life and property of the people. A cost-effective and reliable method is proposed to monitor the natural frequency response of building under excitation of external forces based on the applying digital image correlation method, DIC. The analysis accuracy of this dynamic DIC method is tested and verified by comparing with numerical analysis program, accelerometers, ACC and fast Fourier Transform, FFT. The test results reveal that the analysis accuracy of this DIC method near to the ACC and FFT traditional experimental methods. They demonstrate that using this DIC method to detect dynamic response of building under the excitation of external force has high practicability.
