This paper deals with a low cost solution to problem avoidance for a mobile machine using just a single Artifical Intelligennce. It allows the machine to navigate smoothly in an unknown environment, avoiding collisions, without having to stop in front of problems. The problem avoidance process is made up of three distinct stages - the mapping algorithm, the core problem avoidance algorithm, and the steering algorithm. The mapping algorithm takes the raw Artifical Intelligennce readings and processes them to create higher resolution maps from the wide-angle Artifical Intelligennce. The problem avoidance algorithm is based on the potential field theory which considers the machine to be a test charge that is repelled by all the problems around it, and which moves in the direction of the resultant of the forces acting on it. An algorithm which steers a mobile machine based on the differential drive system is also discussed.

The number of domestic violence is 50% out of violence against woman cases in Indonesia. This condition is intriguing to analyse. There must be a reason behind rising number of crimes related to inequality of women position in the society. One of the ways that can be used to reflect on this subject is through theatre. It is a work of art that can be used to discuss and inspire a necessary social change or social agenda. Therefore, applying textual analysis method on A Story of Wounds, a play by Jessie Monika, I would like to find the reasons behind that inequality to find the core problem of domestic violence as portrayed in ASoW. I utilize Bourdieu’s capital, habitus and field theory to prove that inequality between the wife and the husband, the deeply rooted patriarchy values create imbalance power that open opportunity for domestic violence toward women.

In his article, A. Zholkovsky discusses the contemporary detective mini-series Otlichnitsa [A Straight-A Student], which mentions O. Mandelstam’s poem for children A Galosh [Kalosha]: more than a fleeting mention, this poem prompts the characters and viewers alike to solve the mystery of its authorship. According to the show’s plot, the fact that Mandelstam penned the poem surfaces when one of the female characters confesses her involvement in his arrest. Examining this episode, Zholkovsky seeks structural parallels with the show in V. Aksyonov’s Overstocked Packaging Barrels [Zatovarennaya bochkotara] and even in B. Pasternak’s Doctor Zhivago [Doktor Zhivago]: in each of those, a member of the Soviet intelligentsia who has developed a real fascination with some unique but unattainable object is shocked to realize that the establishment have long enjoyed this exotic object without restrictions. We observe, therefore, a typical solution to the core problem of the Soviet, and more broadly, Russian cultural-political situation: the relationship between the intelligentsia and the state, and the resolution is not a confrontation, but reconciliation.

Quantum Field Theory, as the keystone of particle physics, has offered great insights into deciphering the core of Nature. Despite its striking success, by adhering to local interactions, Quantum Field Theory suffers from the appearance of divergent quantities in intermediary steps of the calculation, which encompasses the need for some regularization/renormalization prescription. As an alternative to traditional methods, based on the analytic extension of space–time dimension, frameworks that stay in the physical dimension have emerged; Implicit Regularization is one among them. We briefly review the method, aiming to illustrate how Implicit Regularization complies with the BPHZ theorem, which implies that it respects unitarity and locality to arbitrary loop order. We also pedagogically discuss how the method complies with gauge symmetry using one- and two-loop examples in QED and QCD.

AbstractUnderstanding the complex factors and mechanisms driving the functioning of coastal ecosystems is vital towards assessing how organisms, ecosystems, and ultimately human populations will cope with the ecological consequences of natural and anthropogenic impacts. Towards this goal, coastal monitoring programs and studies must deliver information on a range of variables and factors, from taxonomic/functional diversity and spatial distribution of habitats, to anthropogenic stress indicators such as land use, fisheries use, and pollution. Effective monitoring programs must therefore integrate observations from different sources and spatial scales to provide a comprehensive view to managers. Here we explore integrating aerial surveys from a low-cost Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) with concurrent underwater surveys to deliver a novel approach to coastal monitoring. We: (i) map depth and substrate of shallow rocky habitats, and; (ii) classify the major biotopes associated with these environmental axes; and (iii) combine data from i and ii to assess the likely distribution of common sessile organismal assemblages over the survey area. Finally, we propose a general workflow that can be adapted to different needs and aerial platforms, which can be used as blueprints for further integration of remote-sensing with in situ surveys to produce spatially-explicit biotope maps.

<p>Abstract Design of Cemara Ceramics Visual Rebranding Identity aims to produce a concept strategy and visual rebranding of the Cemara Ceramics company and produce a Cemara Ceramics rebranding visual identity design in order to encourage the creation of a new identity image. The method in this design uses a 5-stage Design Thinking approach, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. The result achieved is the design of the new Cemara Ceramics corporate identity. With the use of the design thinking method in this research, various problems related to the company image of Cemara Ceramics can be found. The core problem obtained is how to design a strategy and concept of visual identity rebranding to encourage the creation of a new corporate image of Cemara Ceramics.</p><p>Keywords: visual rebranding identity, concept strategy, design thinking</p><p>Abstrak Perancangan Identitas Visual Rebranding Citra Perusahaan Cemara Ceramics ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan strategi konsep dan visual rebranding perusahaan Cemara Ceramics serta menghasilkan rancangan identitas visual rebranding Cemara Ceramics dalam rangka mendorong terciptanya citra identitas yang baru. Abstract In the modern world, building an autonomous multi-robot system is essential to coordinate and control robots to help humans because using several low-cost robots becomes more robust and efficient than using one expensive, powerful robot to execute tasks to achieve the overall goal of a mission. One research area, multi-robot task allocation (MRTA), becomes substantial in a multi-robot system. Assigning suitable tasks to suitable robots is crucial in coordination, which may directly influence the result of a mission. In the past few decades, although numerous researchers have addressed various algorithms or approaches to solve MRTA problems in different multi-robot systems, it is still difficult to overcome certain challenges, such as dynamic environments, changeable task information, miscellaneous robot abilities, the dynamic condition of a robot, or uncertainties from sensors or actuators. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to handle MRTA problems with Bayesian Networks (BNs) under these challenging circumstances. Our experiments exhibit that the proposed approach may effectively solve real problems in a search-and-rescue mission in centralized, decentralized, and distributed multi-robot systems with real, low-cost robots in dynamic environments. In the future, we will demonstrate that our approach is trainable and can be utilized in a large-scale, complicated environment. Researchers might be able to apply our approach to other applications to explore its extensibility.

: In recent years, photocatalytic technology has shown great potential as a low-cost, environmentally friendly, and sustainable technology. Compared to other light sources in photochemical reaction, LEDs have advantages in terms of efficiency, power, compatibility, and environmentally-friendly nature. This review highlights the most recent advances in LED-induced photochemical reactions. The effect of white and blue LEDs in reactions such as oxidation, reduction, cycloaddition, isomerization, and sensitization is discussed in detail. No other reviews have been published on the importance of white and blue LED sources in the photocatalysis of organic compounds. Considering all the facts, this review is highly significant and timely.

Agricultural activities induce micro-topographical changes, soil compaction and structural changes due to soil cultivation, which directly affect ecosystem services. However, little is known about how these soil structural changes occur during and after the planting of orchards, and which key factors and processes play a major role in soil compaction due to cultivation works. This study evaluates the improved stock unearthing method (ISUM) as a low-cost and precise alternative to the tedious and costly traditional core sampling method, to characterize the changes in soil compaction in a representative persimmon orchard in Eastern Spain. To achieve this goal, firstly, in the field, undisturbed soil samples using metallic core rings (in January 2016 and 2019) were collected at different soil depths between 45 paired-trees, and topographic variations were determined following the protocol established by ISUM (January 2019). Our results show that soil bulk density (Bd) increases with depth and in the inter-row area, due to the effect of tractor passes and human trampling. The bulk density values of the top surface layers (0–12 cm) showed the lowest soil accumulation, but the highest temporal and spatial variability. Soil consolidation within three years after planting as calculated using the core samples was 12 mm, whereas when calculated with ISUM, it was 14 mm. The quality of the results with ISUM was better than with the traditional core method, due to the higher amount of sampling points. The ISUM is a promising method to measure soil compaction, but it is restricted to the land where soil erosion does not take place, or where soil erosion is measured to establish a balance of soil redistribution. Another positive contribution of ISUM is that it requires 24 h of technician work to acquire the data, whereas the core method requires 272 h. Our research is the first approach to use ISUM to quantify soil compaction and will contribute to applying innovative and low-cost monitoring methods to agricultural land and conserving ecosystem services.

The core problem of teaching English as a second language at transport university is students’ poor knowledge of vocabulary. Current solutions to the given problem such as providing word explanations and repetitive practices are ineffective. We strongly believe that the mindmapping technique proposed by Tony Buzan as a note-taking method is a novel, yet an extremely potent tool that aids students in enlarging their professional word stock by associating new vocabulary to their existing knowledge using colors, images, symbols, etc. As might have been expected, the findings of our study point towards the idea that the strong visual appeal of mind maps created by easy-to-use software boosted the educational process and helped students of the experimental group memorize more new words in contrast to students of the control group.
