Most of the daily commuters of RTC face problems to know the exact time of arrival of a bus to a particular stop. The time of arrival of bus depends on many factors like traffic, condition of a bus, climate etc. So it is very tough for a person waiting for a bus without knowing whether it has left or not from a particular stop. So here we are providing a solution for this problem by using latest technologies like an Android Application. The solution is that we want to develop an ANDROID APP[1] which gives the notification of a bus arrival in a particular route for a particular stop. The backbone of our application is using CROWDSOURCING. It is nothing but taking the help of some people to help other people. The passengers who have seen or boarded the bus can report the bus location along with an image of bus with the help of our app. Then this location will be sent as a notification to all other commuters in that particular route. The commuters who have missed the bus from the stops through which the bus has already passed, can go with an alternative option and the other commuters waiting at the stops to which bus has to arrive can wait accordingly. This helps in saving our precious time which many of us wasting it in waiting for a bus. In this way our application helps the daily commuters to know the location of a bus and saves their precious time.

In this paper, we present an Android application to control and monitor the physiological sensors from the Shimmer platform and its synchronized working with a driving simulator. The Android app can monitor drivers and their parameters can be used to analyze the relation between their physiological states and driving performance. The app can configure, select, receive, process, represent graphically, and store the signals from electrocardiogram (ECG), electromyogram (EMG) and galvanic skin response (GSR) modules and accelerometers, a magnetometer and a gyroscope. The Android app is synchronized in two steps with a driving simulator that we previously developed using the Unity game engine to analyze driving security and efficiency. The Android app was tested with different sensors working simultaneously at various sampling rates and in different Android devices. We also tested the synchronized working of the driving simulator and the Android app with 25 people and analyzed the relation between data from the ECG, EMG, GSR, and gyroscope sensors and from the simulator. Among others, some significant correlations between a gyroscope-based feature calculated by the Android app and vehicle data and particular traffic offences were found. The Android app can be applied with minor adaptations to other different users such as patients with chronic diseases or athletes.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to show how elements from queueing theory can be used to obtain objective measures of effective capacity in the triage function at Skaraborg Hospital in Sweden without direct observation of the function itself. Design/methodology/approach – Approximately 30,000 patients arrived to the emergency department at Skaraborg Hospital in Sweden during 2011. The exact time of arrival and the exact time of triage were recorded for each patient on an individual level. Basic queueing theory uses arrival rates and system capacity measures to derive average queueing times. The authors use the theoretical relation between these three measures to derive system capacity measures based on observed arrival rates and observed average queueing times. Findings – The effective capacity in the triage process is not a linear function of the number of nurses. However, the management of capacity seems well adapted to the actual demand, even though service levels vary substantially during the day and night. Originality/value – This paper uses elements from queueing theory in an innovative way to measure the effective capacity of a service process without direct observation, thereby also avoiding the potential risk of the Hawthorne effect.

We consider initially two parallel routes, each of two queues in tandem, with arriving customers choosing the route giving them the shortest expected time in the system, given the queue lengths at the customer's time of arrival. All interarrival and service times are exponential. We then augment this network to obtain a Wheatstone bridge, in which customers may cross from one route to the other between queues, again choosing the route giving the shortest expected time in the system, given the queue lengths ahead of them. We find that Braess's paradox can occur: namely in equilibrium the expected transit time in the augmented network, for some service rates, can be greater than in the initial network.

Predominantly all the customers are smartphone users and they want shopping to be easier and seamless. However, the retail store experiences in India does not tap into the mobile channel of interaction when the customer is in the shop. The implementation is that make the shopping easier. Developing the application in the Android platform. In this application, we can make easy checkout and pay the shopping bills in any wallets (Dhamodarn, S., et al., 2016. Identification of User Poi in Spatial Data Using Android Application. International Conference on Computation of Power, Energy Information and Communication (ICCPEIC). IEEE. ISBN: 978-1-5090-0901-5). And capturing the customer behavior in the store. The user will add the Product and corresponding ID and its Cost is added in the Android App and finally, total Payment is made by the user via an android based Payment system. Details are transferred to the shop server. If the customer makes any mistake during the billing of products. The alarm will be raised in the trolley and in the bill counter.

Wireless location becomes difficult due to contamination of measured time-of-arrival (TOA) caused by non-line-of-sight. In this letter, TOA measurements seen at base stations are adjusted by scale factors, and a modified deterministic model is built. An effective numerical solution is proposed to resolve the scale factors and mobile position. A simulation comparison of four algorithms indicates that the proposed algorithm outperforms the other three algorithms.

Sukasari Urban Village is one of the villages located in the district Rajeg Tangerang District, Banten. Currently, the development of information technology very rapidly to take advantage of the android application system as enhancing the effectiveness and flexibility of activities to get the information, in this case related to the public service. It is important to get public information faster in the village Sukasari. Observations on public service activities in the Village Sukasari are less effective if it is not included with public service information applications based on Android. With information still use the public services at the village office mading so is difficult to get information society wards. Also the location of the residence community and urban village office to be the cause. By design kiForm app (android app) as a form of use of information technology will facilitate the public to get information public services wherever they are.

The welfare of the students and faculty plays a very significant role in any institution and in these changing times, students are more driven towards using a smartphone for every purpose. As we know that he world is at the fingertips of every users and now student can get access to any information from anywhere. So, an android application for student can be significantly helpful and this reduces the chance of visiting a library, websites and other places searching for the books, sample quizzes, study material, notices and any other information [5]. This project is an educational android application which is made for our college students and faculty members. In this project we have created two android applications i.e. CMRTC Admin and CMRTC android app. In CMRTC Admin app, only the authorized faculty members can access this admin app. The admin can modify the images, events, news, notices, quiz questions, study material and eBooks for students and can change the list of faculty members of different departments. Whereas the second app i.e. CMRTC app is only for students and other users and in this app they can get information about our college, Google maps location, notice board, gallery of the college, video lectures, study materials (eBooks, question papers, quizzes etc.) and students can download the study material, can share this app to their friends and for any feedback they can provide it in our college website. So, for the welfare of the college we have made this project.
