Sari Asih Ciledug Hospital is a hospital with management based on sharia principles, which is equipped with modern health facilities and equipment. However, based on the author's preliminary observations, that there are several implementations in the operation of hospitals based on sharia principles that contradict the basic reference, namely the Fatwa of the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) Number 107 of 2016. This research has purposed to: first, how the management evaluation and compliance in implementing management and service based on sharia principles? Second, how Sari Asih Ciledug Hospital apply Islamic principles in management and service based on sharia principles? This research is juridical empirical research with Islamic law regulation approach, which then carried out a quantitative analysis with descriptive statistics and inferencing statistics, then analyzed qualitatively. The conclusion of this research is Sari Asih Ciledug Hospital management has met the aspect of sharia compliance with a percentage of 87,5%. As for the difference of that percentage is 12,5% found in the practice that the hospital civitas has not yet embodied good morals with image brand which build by the hospital that is smiling and greeting in service to the patient, have not cooperated with Islamic education institute in human capital recruitment and the surrounding community has not felt the impact of social activities carried out by the hospital. Besides, the limited number of medicines that are halal-certified by the organizing agency for guaranteeing halal products (BPJPH) is an obstacle for hospitals in grouping formularies containing haram elements.

He outlines the evolution of executive education (EE) since the 1980s, the need to integrate it with other HR subsystems and the importance of measuring business outcomes. He elucidates the difference between education and training to understand where the value-add of EE comes from. He recommends three steps to improve the impact of EE in India. Additionally, he gives his views on how to allocate budgets and the role of top management in leveraging EE.

This study explores the impact of unannounced quizzes on students performance on Quantitative Analysis examinations by comparing course sections with unannounced quizzes to sections with announced quizzes. The difference in academic performance between students with unannounced quizzes and students with announced quizzes was examined in this study. Test scores for the first and second semesters were compared between the students with unannounced quizzes and students with announced quizzes. A significant difference was found in academic performance between the group with unannounced quizzes and group with announced quizzes. The group with unannounced quizzes showed better performance than the control group with announced quizzes. Therefore, this study demonstrates that an unannounced quiz is more effective than announced quiz in Quantitative Analysis Performance.

The main purpose of the paper is to move towards quantification and clear distinction of invested IPA funds in the CBC area of Hungary and Croatia 2007. - 2013. Objective of the paper is to provide an insight into the real impact of allocated financial resources to the extent that was not examined so far at the level of institutions (lead beneficiary and project partners) and target group members. The main research questions is what is the impact that implemented projects in IPA CBC HU – CRO had in terms of different types of institutions, types of activities (educational or infrastructure), beneficiaries in local communities and regional development? The research was conducted in April/May 2018. The questionnaire consisted of 41 variables. Interview was the corrective method. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS v23. Total of 102 respondents participated, representing 358 institutions that implemented projects in the cross-border area. Data were first analysed using descriptive statistics, then compared by using t-test and ANOVA Chi-square test was performed to determine the likelihood of correlation between variables. Paper shows obtained results on personal, organisational and regional level. The outcome confirms the difference between human capital in institutions that implement projects and high dependence of EU funds in entire region. Beneficiaries are more aware of impact that lifelong learning activities can have on their labour market competitiveness. Investment in sustainable environment, tourism, development of economic cooperation, infrastructure and common human capacities will have a significant impact in the region.

Education positively affects a person's income. It can be explained in two ways. Firstly, education directly increases the productivity of a person, which is in accordance with the views of the theory of human capital. The second way is an indirect effect, in which education acts as a sign (signal) of a worker’s unobserved characteristics, as assessed by an employer who is considering hiring the person. This is consistent with the view of the signaling theory. Both views are often debated in literature. This paper examines the returns to education in Indonesia, separating out the credential effects from the pure years of schooling effects. We used survey data from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 2000, 2007, and 2014 to test the difference of the two theories in estimating the returns to education in Indonesia. This study used three models which consisted of the human capital model, the signaling model, and the hybrid model. The human capital model used the number of years of schooling as a variable representing education, the signaling model used dummy variables from the level of education achieved (elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, diploma, university), and the hybrid model combined both measures of the variables. The hybrid model allows for the separation of the impact of human capital based on an additional year of schooling, and the impact of signaling by the accomplishment of a particular certificate. The results of the study provide strong evidence of the presence of the returns to education either through the human capital or the signaling theories. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the impact of human capital (HC) on the sustainable development of a country or region through the prism of religious values. The following indicators were used for the analysis: Human Development Index, GDP per Capita, and Adult Mortality Rates in Orthodox Russia, Muslim, and Orthodox Kazakhstan, and developed countries dominated by Protestant religion, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. The results show that differences in socio-economic growth between countries exist because the religions and cultures that influence those countries are different. Russia’s and Kazakhstan’s delay in capitalizing human capital may be provoked by the difference in the attitude these two countries have towards labor compared to other countries chosen for the study. The high quality of formal education in Russia and Kazakhstan is largely offset by a negative Orthodox and Muslim attitude to material achievements and financial prosperity. Orthodox representatives perceive individual wealth and career aspirations as sin and arrogance. The results of the study may be useful in teaching cultural disciplines.

Muslims tend to have an adequate understanding of Islam through the Qur’an and Hadith. However, over the years, hadith has been a source of controversy in Islamic law, with the significant problem associated with understanding and determining the beginning of the hijri month. The difference is due to the various perspectives in understanding the observed crescent. This paper aims at discussing the prominent scholar, Yusuf al-Qaradawi> in understanding the h}adi>th in question. It argues that the impact of Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s understanding on the ru’yat al-hilal hadith was to unify the performance of fasting and ‘id al-fitr in Europe based on priority, not to unite all Moslems in the world.

The present paper studies the importance of social servicescape factors to customer satisfaction in middle-priced restaurant services. This paper fills the existing literature gap on the importance of social servicescape factors onto customers’ satisfaction in middle-priced services. A survey of 514 respondents from three capitals of the Baltic States was conducted for the purpose of the present study. Descriptive statistics together with an independent samples t-test and partial least squares path analysis were employed for data processing. The results obtained confirmed the hypothesis about the importance of social servicescape attributes to customer satisfaction. The study also highlighted the difference in gender attitudes towards intangible aspects of service delivery. The research confirmed the existence of a relationship between customer satisfaction and repurchase intentions, although to a lesser extent than could have been anticipated from the literature review. The findings of the study covered by the present paper allow us to position middle-priced restaurants closer to luxury ones compared to casual restaurants

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of public investment programs on the socio-economic development of territories. As a case, the federal target programs for the development of regions and investment programs of the financial development institution — Vnesheconombank, designed to solve the problems of regional development are considered. The impact of the public interventions were evaluated by the “difference in differences” method using Bayesian modeling. The results of the evaluation suggest the positive impact of federal target programs on the total factor productivity of regions and on innovation; and that regional investment programs of Vnesheconombank are improving the export activity. All of the investments considered are likely to have contributed to the reduction of unemployment, but their implementation has been accompanied by an increase in social inequality.

Whitsleblowing is one of the positive practices in organizations that are able to raise the level of integrity among the members of an organization. However, the roles of whistleblowing also inevitably invites a response, especially among members of the organization itself. This is because such practices are viewed as one factor that may be detrimental to the organization in addition to revealing the reporter (whistleblower) to some external threats and intimidation of discrimination within the organization. This paper is an attempt to examine the relationship between perceptions of members of the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) Contingent of Perak through the role of whistleblowing practices to increase the perception of the integrity of the members. Next, identify the purpose of the whistleblowing and its effect on the integrity of the members of the organization. This study used a descriptive quantitative analysis to identify patterns of relationship that exists between the perception of whistleblowing practices with perceptions of increased integrity based on three basic variables of demographic factors, response to whistleblowing and the impact of making the report. The results showed that members of the Perak’s police have a positive perception of whistleblowing practices which are seen to be done in improving the integrity of the members.Keywords: whistleblowing, perception, RMP members, culture, integrity, organization, influence. ABSTRAK: Whitsleblowing merupakan salah satu amalan positif dalam organisasi yang mampu untuk meningkatkan tahap integriti ahli-ahli dalam sesebuah organisasi. Namun begitu, amalan whistleblowing juga turut tidak dapat mengelak daripada mengundang pelbagai respon khususnya dalam kalangan ahli organisasi itu sendiri. Amalan sebegini turut dilihat sebagai salah satu faktor yang boleh memudaratkan organisasi di samping mendedahkan pelapor (whistleblower) kepada beberapa bentuk ancaman ugutan dari luar dan diskriminasi dalam organisasi. Kertas ini merupakan satu upaya untuk melihat perkaitan antara persepsi anggota Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) Kontinjen Perak melalui peranan amalan whistleblowing terhadap persepsi peningkatan integriti anggota. Seterusnya, mengenalpasti maksud whistleblowing dan pengaruhnya terhadap tahap integriti anggota dalam organisasi. Kajian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif berbentuk deskriptif bagi mengenalpasti corak hubungan yang wujud antara persepsi terhadap amalan whistleblowing dengan persepsi terhadap peningkatan integriti berdasarkan tiga pembolehubah asas iaitu faktor demografi, tanggapan terhadap whistleblowing dan kesan daripada tindakan membuat laporan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa anggota PDRM Perak mempunyai persepsi yang positif terhadap whistleblowing yang mana ianya dilihat perlu dilaksanakan dalam meningkatkan integriti anggota.Kata kunci: whistleblowing, persepsi, amalan, anggota PDRM, budaya, integriti, organisasi, pengaruh.
