The incompatibility of information in reporting productsthat are sold, and data storage is very large, business people, especially in the sales business are required to find an appropriate strategy that can increase sales and marketing of products sold, one of which is by using electronic product sales data. Therefore, anapplication is needed that is able to sort and select data, so that information can be obtained that is useful for users, namely data mining. Associate patterns can be used to place products that are often purchased together into an area that is close together so as to facilitate the customer in finding the desired product and designing the appearance of products in the catalog. The method used is theApriori Algorithm method, with the help ofTanagra 1.4.50 tools and processing transaction data using Microsoft Excel 2007.

Any company or organization that wants to survive needs to determine the right business strategy. The product sales data carried out by Lakoe Dessert Pondok Kacang will eventually result in a pile of data, so it is unfortunate if it is not re-analyzed. The products offered vary with a wide variety of products as many as 45 products, to find out the products with the most sales and the relationship between one product and another, one of the algorithms is needed in the data mining algorithm, namely the a priori algorithm to find out, and with the help of the Rapidminer 5 application, with a support value 2,4% and a confidence value 50%, products that customers often buy or are interested in can be found. This study used sales data for March 2020, which amounted to 209 transaction data. From the research, it was found that the item with the name Pudding Strawberry and Pudding Vanilla was the product most purchased by consumers. With knowledge of the most sold products and the patterns of purchasing goods by consumers, Lakoe Dessert Pondok Kacang can develop marketing strategies to market other products by analyzing the profits from selling the most sold products and anticipating running out or empty of stock or materials at a later date.

Pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia that are engaged in manufacturing currently continue to develop, they process medicinal ingredients into pharmaceuticals, such as tablets, syrup, capsules and others. At present the distribution and production management system of drugs is still semi-computerized, because it still uses Ms. Excel, which can cause file-to-file buildup, besides that it is possible that the data will be lost or damaged, and when searching for data, it takes a long time. To overcome this need to be built a system to process the drug distribution and production management system, to help companies more easily access drug data to computerized travel documents, so as to increase the effectiveness and time efficiency, and get maximum work results and data accuracy in data input in the relevant section. It certainly can be found with various methods that use penuls, starting from the use of uml to provide an overview of system design, then MySql as a data processing application in thedatabase, as a programming language using php.

All these types of analytics have been answering business questions for a long time about the principal methods of investigating data warehouses. Especially data mining and business intelligence systems support decision makers to reach the information they want. Many existing systems are trying to keep up with a phenomenon that has changed the rules of the game in recent years. This is undoubtedly the undeniable attraction of 'big data'. In particular, the issue of evaluating the big data generated especially by social media is among the most up-to-date issues of business analytics, and this issue demonstrates the importance of integrating machine learning into business analytics. This section introduces the prominent machine learning algorithms that are increasingly used for business analytics and emphasizes their application areas.

While most SMEs in general are willing to invest into PLM systems, many are still apprehensive to the sometimes large initial investment to be made in terms of both software cost and the time needed to implement and integrate such system into their digital enterprise technology infrastructure. In light of this, it is crucial for their decision makers not only to understand the current PLM market, but also to become familiar with emerging trends and future developments in order to select a PLM solution that best fit the needs of their enterprise. In this chapter, the authors summarize a detailed analysis of the PLM market with the aim to provide educators, students, and decision makers in industry with an overview of the current PLM market as a whole. In addition, emerging trends and future developments are addressed.

The promise of customers as an external resource for new-product development (NPD) has been recognized in theory and practice for a long time. Technological progress has increased the interaction between companies and users. Yet the involvement of users in NPD depends on the ability of decision-makers to act as boundary spanners. There is a cognitive distance between NPD decision-makers and users. The larger this distance is, the more novel information is contained in user inputs. True open innovation requires that these cognitive distant inputs are treated in NPD. We find that decision-maker openness is significant for NPD openness to be true. Successful collaboration in form of innovations builds on involvement of launching and lead users in NPD. Our analyses show that decision-maker openness facilitates the involvement process. Further, low decision-maker openness traps the implementation of open innovation.

Issues related to collective decision making and to Condorcet jury theorems have been studied and publicly discussed for over two hundred years. Recently, there is a burgeoning interest in the topic by academicians as well as practitioners in the fields of Law, Economics, Political Science, and Psychology. Typical questions are: What is the optimal size of a panel of decision makers such as a jury, a political committee, or a board of directors? Which decision rule to utilize? Who should be the members of the team, representatives or professionals? What is the effect of strategic behaviour, group dynamics, conflict of interests, free riding, social interactions, and personal interdependencies on the final collective decision? This article presents current thinking in the field, offers suggestions for further research, and alludes to possible future developments regarding public choice and collective decision making.

Good work in nursing is work that is scientifically effective as well as morally and socially responsible. The purpose of this study was to examine variables that sustain good work among entering nurses (with one to five years of experience) and experienced professional nurses despite the obstacles they encounter. In addition to role models and mentors, entering and experienced nurses identified team work, cohesiveness and shared values as levers for good work. These nurses used prioritization, team building and contemplative practices to overcome obstacles. Entering professional nurses tended to avoid conflict in the work setting. Experienced nurses reported forming teams of decision makers who share similar values to resolve conflict. These findings have implications for nurse education and nursing practice. Reflection on the importance of values and virtue in sustaining good work is important. Entering professional nurses should be encouraged to seek positive role models and reflect on the lessons that can be learned from experienced exemplary nurses.

Abstract Japan and South Korea have been locked in a territorial dispute over the islands of Dokdo/Takeshima since the end of wwii. In this essay, we analyze the reasons why the issue has been a thorny issue for such a long time in their bilateral relationship. The calculus of domestic and international benefits and costs of the top decision makers in both countries reveal that neither party is likely to change their current position in the absence of a clear legal focal point, because both will have to come up with a substantial concession in order to achieve a peaceful resolution.

Plant health is relatively poorly funded compared with animal and human health issues. However, we contend it is at least as complex and likely more so given the number of pests and hosts and that outbreaks occur in poorly monitored open systems. Modelling is often suggested as a method to better consider the threats to plant health to aid resource and time poor decision makers in their prioritisation of responses. However, like other areas of science, the modelling community has not always provided accessible and relevant solutions. We describe some potential solutions to developing plant health models in conjunction with decision makers based upon a recent example and illustrate how an increased emphasis on plant health is slowly expanding the potential role of modelling in decision making. We place the research in the Credibility, Relevance and Legitimacy (CRELE) framework and discuss the implications for future developments in co-construction of policy-linked models.
