The article outlines the main approaches to advertising in the field of travel services, highlights the main leading tourism enterprises, and investigates the effectiveness of their advertising activities. The main types of advertising in tourism have been investigated, the effectiveness of the use of each of them has been analyzed. The main trends and aspects of the advertising product of tourism enterprises are highlighted. The features of the choice of advertising activities depending on the budget of the advertising company and the goals of the communication policy are investigated. The article considers theoretical approaches to the category of "effectiveness" of advertising, which characterizes the competitiveness of a tourist enterprise. It was found that the effectiveness of the advertising campaign of enterprises with different approaches to advertising management is almost the same due to the high purchasing power. Mass consumption makes even such promotional activities as a simple reminder of a service to a customer effective. The income and expenses of the surveyed company, as well as advertising costs for 2019-2020 were calculated. The features of marketing communications of the enterprise are considered. The analysis of recent studies and publications on this topic was carried out and it was revealed that today there are changes in the advertising of travel services, namely, advertising on the Internet and positive customer reviews about the company gains a greater influence on the consumer's consciousness. The features of advertising in the tourism sector are considered. The advertising activities of the investigated enterprise are analyzed and its effectiveness is determined. A survey of respondents was carried out in order to determine modern approaches to advertising that effectively influence the consciousness of the consumer. Analyzed and highlighted the main competitors of the studied company. The competitive advantages and disadvantages of the presented real tourist enterprise are determined. An expert assessment of the enterprises of the city of Dnipro was carried out, the position of the investigated company in the market of tourist services was determined. Practical recommendations have been developed for the selection of effective means of advertising in the field of tourism.

Based on the analysis of scientific work was to determine the popularity and development of email marketing as one of the effective means of communication. Here are the main benefits of email marketing. The study found that email marketing allows effective communication between educational institutions and future recipients of educational services. There is a need to identify appropriate and effective tools for Internet mailing. The work is devoted to analyzing and exploring the functionality of mailing tools and constructors for email creation. During the study, the concept of "letter constructor" was defined. A comparative analysis was performed describing the main features, advantages and disadvantages of Stripo, Tilda, Makemail, Beefree, and Mailchimp, Unisender, E-sputnik, SendPulse mail designers. The appropriate combination of tools for mailing for educational purposes is determined.

The article presents the systematization of approaches to assess the enterprises' level of competitiveness. The advantages and disadvantages of the most famous models for assessing the competitiveness of business entities are considered. The identified shortcomings made it possible to form a hypothesis for studying the enterprises' competitiveness, taking into account the industry factor, financial criteria and quality indicators of the enterprise. For the formation of an objective adaptation model for assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise, taking into account its industry specificity, the author's approach to assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise, taking into account industry specifics, based on the relative and qualitative indicators of the enterprise's activities, selected by the expert assessment method, is considered. For trade enterprises, groups of the most significant indicators have been formed that characterize the competitiveness in the areas of observation of the sales of a trade enterprise, its costs, financial position and financial results, for the market share of the trade enterprise, the level of prices for goods, for the level of service of the trade enterprise. The indicators characterizing the level of competitiveness of a trading enterprise are divided into relative critical indicators and a group of qualitative critical indicators, which are included in the calculation of the complex coefficient of enterprise competitiveness model based on the theory of effective competition according to the weighted average arithmetic formula. The article presents the results of approbation of the proposed methodology on the example of the “PAO Magnit” trading enterprise and its trade competitors operating in Voronezh. The obtained results of the author's methodology for assessing the competitiveness of a trading enterprise have practical significance; the proposed model can be adapted according to the criteria for selecting indicators and their quantitative indicator, which contributes to the use of this toolkit in future studies of the competitiveness of trading enterprises.

The sphere of tourism is one of the multipliers of economic development. Thus, the development and application of technologies for building a strategy for tourism image development at the state level will not only create a competitive environment for domestic tourism enterprises, but also contribute to the development of regional and national economy, which determines the relevance of the article. The paper provides a detailed analysis of ways to increase the competitiveness of the region through the introduction of public administration mechanisms for the implementation of strategic measures to develop the tourist image. Theoretical approaches to defining the concepts of marketing, strategy, image of the region are considered. The calculations suggest that the industry has high competition and one of the ways to increase the efficiency of positioning the region as a tourist can be the development of an effective tourist image at the level of state and regional government, its promotion, which will ensure market competitiveness. The article analyzes the tourist potential of Kharkiv region. On the example of Kharkiv region, an algorithm for the implementation of public administration mechanisms aimed at providing a system of public marketing in the region for its positioning as a tourist center. According to the results of the study, the theoretical definitions of the concept of public marketing, marketing strategy, mechanisms of state management of tourism development were analyzed. According to the results of determining the main trends in the development of tourism in Kharkiv region, the great tourist potential of the region was determined, however, the need for the development of tourist infrastructure to increase the efficiency of tourism activities was noted. Proposals for the formation of mechanisms for state management of marketing communications for tourism development in the region were developed, tasks, action programs and resources needed to implement the strategy were identified. The ways of forming a positive tourist image of Kharkiv region as a component of marketing strategy are analyzed.

In recent years, rock scouring or erosion downstream of dams has become an increasing dam safety concern. Several theoretical, semi-theoretical, semi-analytical and numerical methods can be used to assess the rock erosion in hydraulic structures. Semi-theoretical approaches determine the correlation between the erosive intensity of fluid flow and the resistive capacity of rock. Such approaches establish the scour thresholds as a function of erosive intensity of water and several rock mass indices by using in situ data and a curve-fitting approach. In some studies, the excavatability index, initially developed for rock mass stability analysis, was used to analyse the rock mass resistance in hydraulic erodibility analysis. The effectivity and weight of the geomechanical parameters used are yet to be determined on the basis of the erodibility phenomenon. The semi-analytical methods are developed on the basis of the mechanical and hydraulic interaction of rock mass and water. Four methods developed by Bollaert et al. are important in determining the erodibility in the plunge pool, but they are not applicable in the case of spillways. They used the comprehensive fracture mechanics for closed-end joints, quasi-steady impulsion, and dynamic impulsion (DI) for blocky rock erosion. The application of these methods to each site is necessary to identify constants that are difficult to determine. Few numerical methods are available to assess the rock mass erosion in hydraulic structures. In the case of numerical methods, the erosive agent is indistinct, and the hydraulic hazard parameter on the spillway surface is almost challenging to apply. This study comprehensively reviews the mechanism of erosion and the methods for assessing the risk of potential rock mass erosion downstream of dams and hydraulic structures. The advantages and disadvantages of all methods are discussed and the potential future research directions in this domain are proposed.

Tujuan Penelitian ini, yaitu memetakan kelebihan dan kekurangan kecamatan-kecamatan di Kota Manado serta menggelompokan karakteristik usaha pariwisata yang ada di Kota Manado dengan menggunakan metode biplot. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yakni data jumlah usaha pariwisata tahun 2019 yang diperoleh dari  Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kota Manado. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa objek dalam hal ini kecamatan-kecamatan yang dapat dikelompokkan memiliki karakteristik usaha pariwisata yang relatif sama adalah 1). Malalayang, Wanea, dan Sario 2). Bunaken, Singkil, Tuminting, Tikala, Paal Dua, dan Mapanget 3). Bunaken Kepulauan 4). Wenang. Kelompok pertama memiliki jumlah usaha pariwisata yang cukup pada hampir keseluruhan usaha pariwisata yang ada, tapi masih perlu diperhatikan untuk usaha pariwisata Kawasan Pariwisata, Penyediaan Akomodasi, dan Wisata Tirta. Kelompok kedua, merupakan kelompok kecamatan yang butuh banyak perhatian untuk dikembangkan lagi dikarenakan masih banyak kecamatan yang jumlah usaha pariwisatanya masih kurang bahkan tidak ada di kecamatan-kecamatan ini. Kelompok ketiga, kecamatan Bunaken Kepulauan memiliki jumlah usaha pariwisata yang paling unggul untuk usaha pariwisata Wisata Tirta, tapi untuk usaha pariwisata lainnya masih perlu dikembangkan lagi. The data used in this research are secondary data which is tourism enterprises data in 2019 that obtained from the Department of Tourism and Culture of Manado City. The results show that the object or sub-districts can be grouped having relatively similar tourism enterprises characteristics, are 1). Malalayang, Wanea, and Sario 2). Bunaken, Singkil, Tuminting, Tikala, Paal Dua, and Mapanget 3). Bunaken Kepulauan 4). Wenang. The first group has a sufficient number of tourism enterprises, but still needs to be considered for tourism businesses in the Tourism Area, Provision of Accommodation, and Water Tourism. The second group, is sub-district group that needs a lot of attention to be developed again. The third group, Bunaken Kepulauan has the most superior number for Water Tourism, but for other tourism enterprises it still needs to be developed further. Purpose – to identify trends in Ukraine's tourism enterprises' external environment to increase their competitiveness and stability in the relevant industry market. Design/Method/Approach of the research. Theoretical generalization, method of abstraction, expert assessments, PEST-analysis, factor analysis, graphical method. Findings. The research studies the changes in the external environment of tourist enterprises during the pandemic crisis. The critical factors of such enterprises' external environment are revealed based on considering their importance and the influence direction on the competitiveness of tourist business units. The paper covers the most significant negative and positive trends of changes in Ukraine's tourist enterprises' external environment. The authors provided recommendations for strategic planning of tourist business units' competitiveness. Practical implications. The research results allow identifying areas for increasing the competitiveness of national tourism enterprises and effectively adapting to the external environment's transformations during the crisis in the globalized social and economic space. Originality/Value. Based on the expert assessment, the authors proposed an expanded factors list of the external environment of national tourism enterprises, which, in contrast to the existing ones, consider the crisis's negative consequences. PEST-analysis clusters of environmental factors allowed to identify with a significant positive or negative impact on the competitiveness of tourism enterprises. Research limitations/Future research. The research results provide a basis for further study of the external macro- and micro-environment of tourism enterprises at the local, regional, and national levels. And for element-by-element SWOT-analysis of tourism enterprises during the pandemic crisis. Paper type – theoretical.

The paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of tax initiatives on the introduction of an excise tax on carbonated sweet drinks and red meat products, a fee for the use of plastic utensils and a new special tax regime for self-employed. Based on the complexity and diversity of the issues and in order to ensure the reliability of the conclusions and proposals the paper analyzes the problem in various aspects using an interdisciplinary approach: 1) in the context of topical problems of social development; 2) from the point of view of solving systemic problems of taxation in the Russian Federation and improving its legal regulation; 3) for compliance with the principles of taxation and the economic and legal essence of taxes and fees; 4) in the light of ensuring budget profitability and reducing financial costs. When considering the development of effective mechanisms of legalization, the authors proceeded from the need to ensure the unconditional constitutional obligation to pay taxes and fees, the mandatory application of penalties against defaulters, the inadmissibility of replacing the principle of obligation with the principle of voluntariness: the performance of the constitutional duty cannot be made exclusively dependent on civic consciousness and social responsibility, on the availability of various preferences. The authors are convinced that when applying incentive mechanisms, it is necessary to distinguish between non-payers and payers, without allowing the latter to be put in a worse position. The study resultes in the conclusion on the strengthening of legal regulation in terms of ensuring the mandatory tax liability, about the increase of the responsibility of legislators in the implementation of the principles of taxation in order to avoid the adoption of legal norms that contradict them.

The article discusses piggyback transportation and their role in modern logistics technologies, which make it possible to implement certain elements of the concept of sustainable development of both regional and international economies. The main aspects of the organization of piggyback transportation, their advantages and disadvantages have been studied, the problems of use in the conditions of the Russian Federation have been identified. The lack of experience in their implementation, the insufficient level of interaction between various sectors of the economy were noted as one of the main problems of using piggyback transportation in the formation of logistics chains, as well as the complexity and ambiguity of assessing the effectiveness of their implementation. The paper proposes an approach to assessing the effectiveness of piggyback transportation, based on the use of expert assessment methods, in particular, the Delphi method and the Saati hierarchy analysis method. The features of the implementation of piggyback transportation in the West Siberian region of the Russian Federation are noted.
