It is recognized that economic science must respond to theoretical foundations more attached to reality, which implies, for a good number of economists, a paradigm shift, a scientific revolution. For some decades, in different parts of the planet the theoretical-empirical limitations of the mainstream and its econometric instrument have been discussed. In university settings, the microeconomic and macroeconomic principles based on concepts such as static, comparative static and, on some occasions, dynamic equilibrium continue to be taught.

ABSTRACT Objective: To reflect on the key concepts of the book The Structure of Scientific Revolutions and its applicability in professional master's in nursing. Method: This is a theoretical-reflective study that uses the philosophical and epistemological conceptions of the philosopher Thomas Samuel Kuhn to consider its applicability on the paradigm shift of stricto sensu graduate courses in nursing. The main concepts of Kuhn were used as support: paradigm, anomaly, scientific community and scientific revolution. Results: The propositions of this philosopher are applied to and support the theoretical reflection on professional master's programs, contributing to clarify what would be a paradigmatic visionary perspective in stricto sensu master's models in nursing. Conclusion: From Kuhn's propositions it was possible to conclude that professional master's programs in nursing can break away from the dominant paradigm, strengthening a scientific revolution within the academia.

The article “Economic Security of Small Agricultural Enterprises” aims at exploring the theoretical foundations of economic security for small agricultural enterprises. The basic approaches to definition of the category "economic security of the enterprise" are investigated. The theoretical bases of the definition of "economic security" are considered. The integration of Ukraine into the global economic space implies the modernization of the modern financial and economic system, which envisages the transition of market entities to a new level of relations and the leveling of traditional geographical boundaries. At the same time, the conditions of functioning of enterprises in a market environment become more stringent due to the expansion of the range of probable threats and dangers, which increase the risk level of conducting business activities, increasing uncertainty, and increasing competition. It is economic security that can provide the enterprise with effective functioning, economic stability, development and improvement of its competitiveness level. The main purpose of this work is to research and analyze the major achievements of economic science in the economic security of a small business and to present the author's vision of the essence of this concept. The set of research methods is the methodology of analysis and organization of major publications, legislation and laws, namely methods of generalization, comparison, chronologization, analysis and generalization. The author's vision of interpreting the concept of "economic security of enterprises" is a scientific novelty. The practical value of the study is to analyze the main publications on the definition of the essence of the concept of “economic security of the enterprise”, because today there is no single approach that would clearly interpret this concept.

Information Technology (IT), and the subsequent broad acceptance of Information and Knowledge Management (IM/KM) methods revolutionized the way business is thought of and practiced. With e-business facilitating the ability to do more, more, faster, at a wider range, and to influence ever larger and more diverse consumer groups, the impact of technology on commerce, finance, and global economy has been frequently compared to the “paradigm shift” that Kuhn (1970) proposed as the essence of scientific revolution. Yet, despite the transformational influence of modernity on the ancient art, the fundamental principles of business have not changed: overreliance on the facilitation of business operations as the substitution for the adherence to the soundness of their conduct fuelled rampant growth of corporate laisse faire, and already twice brought the world to the brink of economic disaster (Stiglitz, 2003; Steingart, 2008).

Focuses on the way Melville Herkovits used facts and facticity in his scientific work on creolization, and how these facts related to the theories in his work. Author relates this to the idea of fact as a stand-alone datum, or "fetish", independent of any theory for its existence. He describes how Herkovits in his work presented classifications of intensity of African retentions in different parts of the Americas, as well as of cultural elements, which Herkovits meant to be heuristic, yet, the author argues, seemed to precede the data. Further, the author discusses criticisms on this "economic anthropology". In addition, he sketches how the data as fetish, and related induction, developed out of the scientific revolution in Europe, separating arguments from facts, but also out of colonial ventures and the history of the slave trade in West Africa, making it a part of the study of creolization, of African slavery and the African diaspora. He points out, and applaudes, that Herkovits' theoretical stance changed from a strict empiricism to an awareness of the place of argument, or social convention, in the making of the facts themselves.

Over the last quarter century, the term "self-organization" has acquired a currency that, notwithstanding its long history, has been taken to signal a paradigm shift, and perhaps even a scientific revolution, introducing a new Weltanschauungin fields as diverse as mathematics, physics, biology, ecology, cybernetics, economics, sociology, and engineering. But there is a prehistory to this revolution, as to the term itself, with at least two earlier episodes in which the same term was used to signal two other, quite different revolutions. In this paper, I review the pre-history of "self-organization," starting with Immanuel Kant, who first introduced the term, and then turn to the dramatic reframing of the concept by mid-twentieth century engineers. In a subsequent paper, I will review the more recent history of this concept when the term was once again reframed, this time by physicists. My aim will be to situate this latest incarnation of "self-organization" against the backdrop of earlier discussions.

Six carp and carp based culture technologies were selected to examine the sustainability of supplementary feed-based aquaculture through availability of domestic feeds compared to the total requirement in Bangladesh. The study covered seven districts of Bangladesh with a sample size of 376. It was found that farmers used a good number of feeds (more than 35) for the selected technologies but they maintained no standard doses for them. There were important differences among the prices of different feeds and other inputs used for different technologies in different parts of the country. Prices of all inputs were found to be increasing and this increase has been greater in recent years as compared to previous years. Though all the technologies were found to be profitable, the feed situation was not satisfactory. Except for rice polish, the supplies of other local feeds were unable to meet the national demand. If this situation persists and no measures are taken to secure the local feed supply, the present development of supplementary feed-based aquaculture will become dependent on imported feeds and would not be sustainable in the future. This study strongly suggests that the authorities should handle the matter with proper attention, considering its significant impact in the economy of the country.

The paper aims to explore the ideological interpretation of Islamic accounting. It is hoped that the results of various interpretations of Islamic accounting are obtained comprehensively. The research method used is qualitative research. Qualitative research is called Participant-Observation because the researcher himself must be the main instrument in collecting data by directly observing the object being examined While the research approach uses a literature study. The results of this study found that there are several views on the interpretation of Islamic accounting ideology. The fragile philosophical foundation of context knowledge is enough to create counter paradigm rivals as a consequence of the scientific revolution (science revolutions) in the form of an alternative paradigm shift due to the failure of the old paradigm to answer a set of problems. The content of the Islamic substance is liberation, making accounting perceived as a treatise.

Abstract This book analyses social tourism across the world, exploring the theoretical foundations of this type of tourism with examples of practical implementations. Part II is composed of case studies discussing the historical evolution of the concept and implementation of social tourism in different parts of the world. This discussion also results in the identification of challenges and opportunities for the development of social tourism in these contexts. Part III of the book reflects on tourism experiences lived by different target groups of social tourism, such as seniors, disabled children, and low-income families. Part IV of the book is devoted to practical challenges of social tourism and policy implications. The book has 13 chapters, in addition to an introduction and a conclusion.

Between 17th and 18th centuries we witnessed a scientific revolution in all the branches of knowledge, whose most remarkable names history keeps record of. But be-hind, on the sidelines, in the distance, many other names – of women too – participated in this process of carrying out different tasks, including translation (especially to / from French, language of greater projection then). We will examine the paradigm shift in physics and chemistry, focusing on this dark zone of the hinge which is needed to explain how this long transformation took place, putting the focus on some female translators, self-taught scientists, whose indispensable role for transmission, dissemination and consolida-tion of knowledge was veiled or blurred.
