Responding to identified shortcomings is components of the internal quality assurance system of a higher education institution. A study of the educational activities of future teachers-engineers of computer profile found that most students are not going to devote their career to teaching, thus preferring engineering. Undoubt- edly, higher education institutions must respond to the requests of stakeholders, especially those seeking higher education. On the other hand, there are requests from employers (educational institutions) for teachers-engineers of computer profile. Therefore, further research was aimed at enhancing cognitive activity primarily by increasing motivation for pedagogical activity. Methods: pedagogical experiment. Results. An experimental test of the effectiveness of pedagogical conditions for intensifying the educational activities of future teachers-engineers of computer profile in professional training. Originality. The results of the study testify to the effec- tiveness of certain pedagogical conditions for intensifying the educational activities of future teachers-engineers of computer profile: changes of external motivation to internal will take place if the information and communication technologies are introduced into educational process of studying peda- gogical disciplines; change of position in the educational activity of future teachers-engineers of computer profile in the study of pedagogical disciplines will take place under the condition that students apply a project approach to the organization of their own educational activity; intensification of educational activity due to its correc- tion in future teachers-engineers of computer profile in the process of operative feedback at each stage of educational activity. Comparative analysis of experimental data shows an increase in the percentage of students of the experimental group compared to the control group with a high level of educational activities of future teachers-engineers of com- puter profile in the study of pedagogical disciplines for a stable active position of educational activity – by 34%, internal motivation to study – by 32%, by the ability to plan and organize their own educational trajectory – by 32%, by academic performance – by 25%). When comparing the results before and after the ex- periment: in the control group the empirical values of the criterion χ2 are less than critical, the characteristics of the compared groups coincide at the level of significance of 0.05; in experimental group the empirical values of the criterion χ2 are greater than the critical one, the signifi- cance of the difference in the characteristics of the com- pared groups is 95%.

The research was carried out in higher educational institution in the Russian Federation among 1-4-year students as well as teachers. The sample included 200 students and 35 teachers. The experiment consisted of three stages - introductory, experimental, and final. The initial assessment of students’ professional knowledge was carried out at the introductory stage. The goal of the experimental stage was to introduce visualization of learning and memorization, mainly, the use of mind maps and charts in students’ professional training. Tasks were developed and used, providing for the creation of mini projects, construction layouts with charts, mental maps (reflecting the professional role of a specialist in construction and architecture fields), features and stages of design, priorities of architectural and construction activities. At the final stage, the final assessment of students’ progress in vocational training and a comparative analysis of the data were carried out, conclusions were drawn about the advisability of visualizing the processes of learning and memorizing in higher education. Teachers’ attitude towards the active implementation of visualization of learning and memorizing was also studied at the introductory and final stages. To determine teachers’ attitude towards the active implementation of visualization of learning and memorizing, the survey was conducted. The introduction of the above-mentioned tasks gave the following results in the experimental group. Namely, there were high growth rates of students with a high level of knowledge (11.5%), 16.4% - with a sufficient level of knowledge and 13.7% - with an average level of knowledge; there was also a decrease in the number of students with low grades (by 16.6%) compared to the control group at the final stage. The number of teachers with positive-promising and positive attitude towards visualization of learning and memorizing increased by 14.3%, the number of respondents with positive-neutral attitude decreased by the same percentage, and there was not a single teacher who retained a negative attitude. The practical value of the results lies in the possibility of using the questionnaire and tasks developed in the real educational process of modern higher education institutions.</p>

The digitalization of the education system imposes certain circumstances not only on the organization of the educational process and the training of specialists in demand in the modern world, but also on the skills of a teacher in the field of information and communication technologies. Within the framework of this article, an analysis of Russian and foreign approaches to defining a set of digital competencies necessary for a modern teacher of higher education is carried out. The purpose of this study is to determine an objective diagnostic toolkit for identifying the level of digital competencies among teachers of higher institutions. Based on the analysis of Russian and foreign experience in the development of digital competence among teachers, including a higher education teacher, an internal questionnaire was developed to assess the level of formation of the necessary digital skills. Data collection was carried out through an online survey of teachers using a structured questionnaire. A survey of university teachers was conducted in order to identify the readiness to use digital technologies in the educational process. The data obtained during the survey made it possible to obtain objective information about the level of formation of digital competencies among teachers and their readiness to use digital tools and technologies in the educational process. University teachers have demonstrated high results in such competencies as the use of digital solutions for effective communication of students on academic assignments; creating your own digital resources; creation and modification of digital educational materials, inclusion of students in group work using the Internet, including online services for joint project activities; taking into account the individual characteristics and needs of students in the educational process; exchange of ideas and materials with colleagues from other educational organizations, including through cloud systems, advanced training through online training.
