Schoolbag-weights and musculoskeletal complaints among high-school students in Jakarta, IndonesiaBackground: Most of high school students every day carry a schoolbag-weights of approximately 5-7 kg from home to school within 3 years study time, it can trigger the emergence of Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which is a collection of symptoms / disorders related to muscle tissue, tendons, ligament, cartilage, nervous system, bone structure, and blood vessels. MSDs can cause disruption of daily activities, concentration of learning, and learning achievement.Purpose:  To determine the effects of School Bag-weights and musculoskeletal complaints among high-school students in Jakarta, Indonesia.Method: An analytic observation with cross-sectional approach. The population was all high school students at east Jakarta with the sample student in grade XI of 370 students and taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable is the Schoolbag-weights, while the dependent variable is MSDs. Retrieval of data by filling out the Nordic Body Map questionnaire. Data processed univariate and bivariate with the Spearman test.Results: There was an effect of schoolbag-weights and musculoskeletal complaints among high-school students in Jakarta, Indonesia. Spearman correlation analysis results, got p=0.000 with r=0.225, which means there is a weak correlation between schoolbag-weights with musculoskeletal complaints. The direction of the positive correlation that means the heavier the schoolbag that they carry would follow by a higher the musculoskeletal complaints, and vice versa.Conclusion: There is a correlation between school bag-weights and musculoskeletal complaints among high-school students in Jakarta, IndonesiaKeywords: Schoolbag-weights; Musculoskeletal complaints; High-school studentsPendahuluan: Siswa SMA setiap hari memikul beban pada bagian tubuh belakang kurang lebih 5-7 kg setiap selama jangka waktu 3 tahun selama studi, hal tersebut dapat  memicu munculnya Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) yaitu sekumpulan gejala/gangguan yang berkaitan dengan jaringan otot, tendon, ligament, kartilago, sistem saraf, struktur tulang, dan pembuluh darah. MSDs dapat menyebabkan gangguan kegiatan sehari-hari, konsentrasi belajar dan prestasi belajar.Tujuan: Mengetahui seberapa besar berat tas berpengaruh terhadap risiko musculoskeletal disorder. Metode: Analitik observatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa SMA di wilayah Kec. Kramat Jati Jakarta Timur sebanyak 4.708 siswa dengan sampelnya siswa kelas XI sebanyak 370 siswa, diambil secara simple random sampling. Variabel bebas adalah berat tas sedangkan variabel terikat adalah MSDs. Pengambilan data dengan pengisian kuesioner. Data diolah secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji korelasi spearman. Hasil: Didapatkan korelasi antara berat tas dengan musculoskeletal disorder. Hasil Analisis Korelasi Spearman antara berat tas dengan keluhan nyeri otot, didapatkan nilai p=0.000 dengan nilai r=0.225 yang artinya terdapat korelasi yang lemah antara berat tas dengan keluhan nyeri otot. Arah korelasi positif menunjukkan bahwa semakin berat beban tas maka keluhan nyeri otot makin tinggi, begitu juga sebaliknya. Simpulan: Berat beban tas berkorelasi dengan keluhan Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).

In Indonesia, there is a tendency for the emergence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in school-aged children. MSDs can cause disruption of daily activities, such as lost school time. Individual factors such as sex can be the cause of MSDs. This study aims to determine how much gender differences affect the risk of musculoskeletal disorder. The design of this research was analytic observative with cross-sectional approach. The population is all high school students in the Kec. Kramat Jati East Jakarta as many as 4,708 students. The research sample was 370 class XI students. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable is gender while the dependent variable is MSDs. Retrieval of data by filling out the Nordic Body Map questionnaire. Data were processed univariately and bivariately with chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between sex and musculoskeletal disorder. The value of p = 0,000 with a PR value = 1,131 and 95% CI = 1,051 - 1,217 which shows that female are more at risk 1,131 times having musculoskeletal disorder compared to male.

ABSTRACTThe prevalence of HIV infection in aged 15-19 years old was increased significantly every year. Adolescent is a high-risk groups for HIV infection due to high chance to try something new and having big influenced by their peer in school. There is limited intervention utilizing technology conducted in Indonesia to reduce the risk of HIV among adolescents. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of peer-led technology on knowledge and attitude towards HIV prevention among adolescent in Bandung. This research was a queasy experiment with one group conducted in a one of private senior high school in Indonesia from April to August 2018. The sample in this study was a student in one of private high school in Bandung. The inclusion criteria in this study were high school students in grade 1, 2; three sample technique used simple random sampling. The Bahasa version of knowledge and  attitude towards HIV prevention were used to measure the outcome. Paired t test used to test the mean sore of knowledge and attitude the intervention before and after. A total of 28 senior high school students agreed to join in this study. This study found that peer-led technology was useful to improve the knowledge and attitudes of high school students towards HIV prevention, mainly through sexual transmission (p-value <0.001, with a mean difference between pre-test and post-test, was 5.2 for knowledge and 3.19 for attitude). In conclusion, utilizing technology to provide health education in adolescent effectively to improve knowledge and attitude towards HIV prevention. ABSTRAKPrevalensi HIV infeksi pada umur 15-19 tahun meningkat secara signifikan setiap tahun. Remaja adalah kelompok berisiko tinggi untuk infeksi HIV, pada masa ini mereka senang mencoba sesuatu yang baru dan juga faktor tingginya pengaruh teman sebaya di sekolah. Masih sedikit intervensi pencegahan HIV  yang memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mengurangi risiko HIV kalangan remaja di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas peer lead teknologi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap dalam pencegahan HIV di antara remaja di Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen pada satu kelompok perlakuan yang dilakukan di salah satu SMA swasta di Indonesia dari bulan April hingga Agustus 2018. Kriteria inklusi dalam studi ini adalah siswa SMA kelas 1 dan 2. Teknik pengambilan sample dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Instrumen versi bahasa indonesia digunakan sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap pencegahan HIV. Analisa data menggunakan paired T test untuk mebandingkan hasil sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Total sejumlah  28 siswa SMA setuju untuk bergabung dalam studi ini. Studi ini menemukan bahwa peer lead technology berguna untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa SMA terhadap pencegahan HIV, terutama melalui transmisi seksual (p-nilai < 0.001, dengan perbedaan yang berarti antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi  adalah 5.2 untuk pengetahuan dan 3.19 untuk sikap). Kesimpulannya, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan kesehatan pada remaja terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap pencegahan HIV.

ABSTRAKPerokok dari kalangan remaja Indonesia terdiri dari 24,1% remaja pria dan 4,0% remaja wanita. Dari data WHO terhadap perokok di Indonesia memperlihatkan bahwa prevalensi perokok laki-laki jauh lebih tinggi dari pada perokok wanita. Angka perokok semakin meningkat, tetapi tanpa disadari bahwa banyak perokok memiliki keinginan untuk berhenti merokok. Intensi merupakan prediktor utama terjadinya perilaku. Intensi berhenti merokok merupakan penentu keberhasilan berhenti merokok pada siswa SMA.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi niat berhenti merokok pada siswa SMA di Kota Bima. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional study dengan jumlah populasi 2147 siswa didapatkan sampel penelitian 326 siswa. Penentuan sampel dengan teknik Proportional Random Sampling. Analisis statistik yang digunakan yaitu analisis univariat, analisis bivariate dan multivariat.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hanya 16% responden yang memiliki niat yang kuat untuk berhenti merokok. Variabel yang paling dominan berpengaruh terhadap niat berhenti merokok yaitu sikap (OR=3,516). Variabel yang berhubungan niat berhenti merokok adalah pengetahuan (p-value=0,043), sikap (p-value=0,002), norma subjektif (p-value=0,002), persepsi kontrol perilaku (p-value=0,002). Sekolah diharapkan mampu mendidik siswanya yang merokok dan memberi perhatian ekstra kepada siswa agar mampu memunculkan niat berhenti merokok dari dalam dirinya sendiri tanpa ada paksaan orang lain untuk berhenti merokok.Kata Kunci     : Intensi, Berhenti Merokok, Remaja SMA Attitude affects the intention to stop smoking in adolescents in Bima City; Teen smokers from Indonesia ie 24.1% of boys and 4.0% of young women. Of the WHO data on smokers in Indonesia showed that the prevalence of male smokers is much higher than in female smokers. Smoking rates is growing, but without realizing that many smokers have a desire to quitting smoking. Intention is a major predictor of the behavior. Intention to quit smoking is the determinant of the success of quitting high school students.The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the intention to stop smoking in high school students in Kota Bima. This quantitative research using the croos sectional approach study with the population as much as the 2147 people and samples 326 respondents. Technique sampling is Proportional Random Sampling. This study was designed to examine the possible constraints that can affect high school students’ mathematics performance in five selected high schools in Awi-zone and west Gojam. Observations and reports from examining bodies revealed that a high percentage of secondary school students continue to perform poorly in mathematics examinations. From a total of nine high schools, five were selected using simple random sampling technique. The respective sections were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Four sections were selected from each school. Then, two hundred samples of students were employed using comprehensive sampling technique. To obtain data, questionnaire, classroom observation, and semi-structured interviews were used. Fifty students from each school were selected using simple random sampling technique for the questionnaire. Similarly, three teachers from each of the sample school were selected using simple random sampling technique for the questionnaire, classroom observation and interview. The quantitative data were analyzed using one sample t- test whereas the qualitative one was analyzed using descriptive interpretations. The findings showed that students have laid claim on the problem of scoring passing mark as a result of poor mathematics performance. In addition, the result indicates that teachers possess the theories and their application of indirect instruction, organizing mathematics lessons, classroom management using assessment techniques. The findings also implied that there are opportunities to improve students’ performance in mathematics in the high schools to the expected level. Furthermore, the findings showed that paraphrasing math word problems improves performance of some students. In relation to the findings of the study, recommendations are forwarded.

The objective of the present scholarly work was to test the relationship between mental health, resilience, and happiness among the high school students. The study was conducted in a private school student from Tanzania. The sampling was based on random sampling technique. The design of the study is survey based cross-sectional research design. The correlation results show that mental health, happiness, and resilience are positively associated. The findings lead to the conclusion that if an individual possess sound mental health, so his/her resilience will be improved and he/she will be in better position to adjust in different situations.

Technology, information, and communication are growing rapidly making it easy for teens to communicate through social media even for negative things like cyberbullying. Victims of cyberbullying receiving unpleasant treatment experience difficulties in their psychological development, impacting on the inability of a teenager to interact socially well. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of cyberbullying with social interaction in high school class XI teenagers in Surabaya. The study uses a correlation study design and cross sectional approach. The population of the study was 142 high school students in class XI, 105 samples were taken by simple random sampling. The results showed a low incidence of cyberbullying with moderate social interactions of 42 respondents (40%). Spearman Rank Test results obtained no correlation between cyberbullying and social interaction, p value = 0.516 and r = -0.064. Teenagers are expected to understand the impact of cyberbullying and be more responsive to cyberbullying events that occur around them. Parents and schools can provide education on how to use technology wisely Keywords: cyberbullying, social interaction, adolescent.

Abstract: Advances in technological development have led to increased use of smartphones. To date, the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) of the upper extremities is increasing and according to previous studies one of the MSD causes is the continued use of smart phones by high school students. This study was aimed to determine the prevalence of MSD of the upper extremities experienced in the last 7 days and to evaluate the relationship between MSD complaints and smartphone usage among adolescent high school students. This was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The instruments in this study were demographic questionnaire, smartphone usage, and modified Nordic Body Map Questionaire. Data were analyzed by using the Spearman Rho correlation test. There were 170 respondents (N = 170) involved in this study. Most of the MSD complaints were in the neck (n = 73; 42.9%), followed by in the shoulder (n = 61; 35.9%), and finger (n = 49; 28.8%). Most of the pain was categorized as mild pain. The Spearman Rho test showed significant correlations, as follows: between MSD in the neck and gaming as well as chat frequency (p=0.040); between MSD in the upper arm and one sesion gaming duration (p=0.005); and between MSD in the fingers and gaming duration in one sesion (p=0.007) and in a day (p=0.042). In conclusion, among adolescent high school students, frequency as well as duration of smartphone usage could influence the occurrence of MSD in the upper extremities.Keywords: musculoskeletal disorder, smartphone, duration of usage, frequency of usage, gaming Asbtrak: Kemajuan perkembangan teknologi menyebabkan peningkatan penggunaan telepon cerdas. Prevalensi musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) dari ekstremitas atas meningkat dan menurut penelitian salah satu penyebabnya ialah akibat penggunaan berkelanjutan dari telepon cerdas oleh remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi MSD pada ekstremitas atas yang dialami dalam 7 hari terakhir dan mengevaluasi hubungan antara keluhan MSD dengan penggunaan smartphone pada remaja pelajar SMA. Jenis penelitian ialah analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner demografi, smartphone, dan modifikasi dari Nordic Body Map Questionnaire. Analisis statistik menggunakan tes korelasi Spearman Rho. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan 170 responden (N=170). Keluhan MSD paling sering dirasakan pada leher (n=73; 42,9%), bahu (n=61; 35,9%), dan jari tangan (n=49; 28,8%). Karakteristik keparahan nyeri yang dirasakan sebagian besar merupakan nyeri ringan. Uji korelasi Spearman Rho mendapatkan korelasi bermakna antara: keluhan MSD pada leher yang dialami dalam 7 hari terakhir dengan frekuensi gaming dan frekuensi chatting (p=0,040); keluhan MSD pada lengan atas dengan durasi gaming satu sesi (p=0,005); dan keluhan MSD pada jari tangan dengan durasi gaming dalam satu sesi (p=0,007) dan dalam sehari (p=0,042). Simpulan penelitian ini ialah frekuensi dan durasi penggunaan telepon cerdas berpengaruh terhadap timbulnya keluhan MSD ekstremitas atas pada remaja pelajar SMA.Kata kunci: musculoskeletal disorder, telepon cerdas, durasi, frekuensi, gaming

Abstract: Obesity is a condition that exceeds the relative weight of a person as a result of the accumulation of nutrients, especially carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Hypertension is defined as systolic and diastolic blood pressures above than 95th percentile according to sex, age, and height. This study aimed to determine the relationship between body weight and blood pressure among junior high school students in Kecamatan Pineleng. This was an analytical study using a cross sectional approach. Population was junior high school students grades 7 and 8 aged 12-14 years of 3 Junior High Schools located in Kecamatan Pineleng. There were 75 samples obtained by using simple random sampling technique. The Chi-Square test showed a p value of 0.001 (<0.005). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between weight and blood pressure among junior high school students in Kecamatan Pineleng.Keywords: weight, blood pressure. Abstrak: Obesitas adalah suatu keadaan yang melebihi dari berat badan relatif seseorang, sebagai akibat penumpukan zat gizi terutama karbohidrat, lemak dan protein. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara berat badan dengan tekanan darah pada siswa SMP di Kecamatan Pineleng. The background in this study is that students are lazy to take part in online learning because of difficult signals and do not have data packages for learning needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore there is a need for a description of student satisfaction during the online network learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the satisfaction of junior high school students with online learning in PJOK subjects during the COVID-19 pandemic in Purwanegara district. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research, using a survey method which is conducted online via google form. The sample in this study was class IX students of SMP Negeri Purwanegara District using the simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the satisfaction level of grade IX junior high school students with online learning in PJOK subjects during the COVID-19 pandemic in Purwakarta was in the satisfied category by obtaining overall results with a percentage of 64%. From these results indicate that students are satisfied with the learning that is being carried out online. The conclusion of this study shows that student satisfaction has been achieved. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the level of student satisfaction has an average value of 64% and is included in the satisfied category in the online learning process. Student satisfaction is shown from the factors of adequate facilities and infrastructure, teaching materials used accordingly, learning media used accordingly, mastery of teacher material, accuracy in using methods and techniques, participant trust and discipline of schedules, student satisfaction has been achieved in interaction and communication skills. , as well as guiding students. This study was measured using 5 dimensions of satisfaction, namely: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. So any learning model as long as the five dimensions are met and the role of the teacher during learning takes place greatly affects the level of student satisfaction in learning online or online. Suggestions from this research are expected to continue to improve the quality of schools, both in terms of human resources, facilities and infrastructure to support various interests and potentials. Hopefully the cooperation and coordination between schools and students can be improved and maintained well in the future.   Keywords: student satisfaction analysis, online learning, sports        Abstrak Latar belakang pada penelitian ini adalah siswa yang malas mengikuti pembelajaran secara daring di karenakan sinyal yang susah dan tidak memiliki paket data untuk kebutuhan belajar selama pandemi COVID-19, oleh karena itu perlu adanya gambaran kepuasan siswa selama proses pembelajaran jaringan daring. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kepuasan siswa sekolah menengah pertama terhadap pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran PJOK pada masa pandemi COVID-19 sekecamatan Purwanegara.Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif,  dengan menggunakan metode survey yang di lakukan secara online melalui google form. Sampel dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Kecamatan Purwanegara dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan siswa kelas IX sekolah menengah pertama terhadap pembelajaran daring mata pelajaran PJOK pada masa pandemi COVID-19 sekecamatan purwanegara masuk pada kategori puas dengan memperoleh hasil keseluruhan dengan persentase 64%. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa merasa puas dengan pembelajaran yang di laukan secara daring. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukan kepuasan siswa sudah tercapai. Hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa tingkat kepuasan siswa memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 64% dan masuk pada kategori puas dalam proses pembelajaran daring.  Kepuasan siswa di tunjukan dari faktor sarana dan prasarana yang memadai, bahan ajar yang digunakan sesuai, media pembelajaran yang digunakan sesuai, penguasaan materi guru, ketepatan penggunaan metode dan teknik, kepercayaan peserta dan kedisplinan akan jadwal, kepuasan siswa sudah tercapai dalam kemampuan interaksi dan komunikasi, serta membimbing siswa. Penelitian ini di ukur menggunakan 5 dimensi kepuasan yaitu: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, dan emphaty. Maka model pembelajaran apapun selama kelima dimensi terpenuhi dan adanya peran guru selama pembelajaran berlangsung sangat mempengaruhi tingkat kepuasan siswa dalam belajar daring atau online. Saran dari penelitian ini diharapkan untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas sekolah, baik dari segi sumber daya manusia, sarana dan prasarana untuk penunjang berbagai minat dan potensi.
